  1. I'm pretty sure I said that in my post, but, whatever....Was just pointing out that these types of units are available. And yes, speaker choice would be good to know. Marantz definitely made some great receivers as well back in the day, and they have some really cool tuning dials. I know you said that, I was just enforcing what you said;) And boxx I have never actually owned this unit. I have played with the less powerfull sx-1050 and saw the power behind this receiver and can only imagine the power behind the sx-1250. Alex
  2. The pioneer sx1250 recommended above is a awesome receiver but very very powerfull. I don't think you will be needing this much power. What size and kind of speakers are you lookng to get? Or do you have them already? Pioneer and sansui are nice. I personally like marantz. A lot will depend on how loud you want it to get and what kind of speakers. A marantz 2230 Is probably more than you need for a office, I think, and it's gonna sound very very nice. As moray states you will need to change the caps and restore unit for durability and it will some much better. Alex
  3. There is something wrong with that. I refuse to deal with anyone on Craigslist unless we have some kind of voice dialog. Feel them out, establish trust. On the forum and Audiogon it is usually not a problem having a phone conversation. Bill Totally agree.
  4. Front pic with heresy II with the fisher 500c on top, one k horn and the cf4's in the back. You can compare sizes of all the speakers this way. I spent an entire day listening to all the speakers, switching amps, receivers on differant speakers and comparing. It was a awesome day!!
  5. Pic of wheels i installed under amp rack. This way i am able to wheel te rack back and forward to get to back of equipment. Works wonderfully.
  6. I'm not interested in the belles, just trying to gather more info for my fellow klipsch members;) There still available as of yesterday and he has returned my text. He send me a pic of the serial number sticker but it was completely faded and I could not read anything. He's only responding through text and pretty much refused to speak to me on phone. He says he knows nothing about them and he's not original owner. Must have acquired them some how.
  7. He did not answer my call but he text me back with speakers are still available. It then text him i would like to speak on phone and i had more questions. He has not responded. Smells really fishy to me... Ill keep you guys posted
  8. http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/ele/4638122419.html I found the speakers on cl. I called and just text and no response yet. I will update with more info. Alex
  9. 561 area code should be down here in lower Florida.
  10. Time to part with my khorns. They are from 1987 with consecutive serials numbers. They have the crites ct125 tweeters and type A/4500 crossover which are just under 2 years old. The man i previously bought these from had just ordered and installed the crossover and tweeters. Everything works as it should and they sound great. See pics for condition. One speaker has a small black paint stain on top and the other has a chip on top front of speaker, which can be seen in pic. These are the two biggest and most obvious imperfections, everything else is small and normal use of speakers over last 25+ years. Local pic up in Miami, unless we somehow arange shipment i will do if buyer pays. I can also deliver within reasonable distance. You are encouraged to come listen before buying. I also have a NOS valve restored fisher 500c which i might be willing to part with. Please pm me if interested and we might be able to work something out. Pm me with any and all questions. Alex
  11. Man that woofer in the pic looks so big, i though it was a 18" for sure. They look like nice speakers. Im not sure on asking price or how much they usually go for though
