  1. Integra repaired my DTH 40.1 just last month. They even sent prepaid shipping box. Mine was also out of warranty. The whole thing took about a week
  2. substance-p Leave all the fronts just the way you have them laid out...for 5.2 put your rears /surround directly behind the couch..If you want to go 7.2 then have rear channels behind the couch...and put the side surrounds 2 feet in front of couch...right channel surround will be 2 feet in front of right couch arm rest. The left will be directly across from a the right against the wall as you come down the stairs.. I have had RS3II's in almost this same configuration for years. The Idea is to get the rears on stands high enough to clear the back of the couch. Or you could have the rears up in the air and angled down. Which is your # 4 position. Should be pretty easy to corner mount angled down on either side of your arch.... This is a photo of my system years ago when the RF35's were my fronts. ...notice the RS3II's on the stands Your sweet spot is going to be the left arm rest seating position
  3. Superdave I really like how you did the columns. Very nice I just took a good look at your avatar. Holy F... If that bike was mine I think I'd be sleeping next to it. That is NICE
  4. The best rated receiver for 2015 is the Marantz SR 7008...... Which is owned by Denon.... Something to think about.
  5. That looks Great..... Where did you get a cabinet to fit it...... Is it custom or Purchased? Great looking room
  6. bobcat The receiver should compensate for the difference. But if you like to play around.... pick up a radioshack sound level meter...... Maybe a tripod .....Play around a bit. See what you like.... That kind of s..t is fun
  7. I agree with Sancho ...while steaming is convenient. For the best quality bluray is still king . this may change in the future...... But for now I'll stick with my player. Boxerjake ...... It's getting there but not yet
  8. I too have both bluray in a HTPC and a stand alone....i agree with everything pite says. (too big to quote). With all the new players having network connections and WIFI and apps like netfiix. Some guys even use them as a network hub where you can bring your music folders/video files. I love how my OPPO makes Netflix streaming look awsome. As of now I have 2 dedicated HTPC's one of which I pulled the bluray player out of just last week....never used it. I think in the future both of them will eventually be replaced by something called an Intel NUC So ....stand alone player ....a definite Yes
  9. If you want to have them repaired...... You could call Simply Speakers. I know they will repair most of the Klipsch line. The prices seemed reasonable
  10. bobcat30 You will like the Denon,,,,should be enough reciever.
  11. Bobcat30, TX-870 is pretty old...... I remember back in my younger days having TXV7M which was Onkyo's first Av receiver. Is the 870 worth anything..... Not much as far as resale. I would make a good garage 2 channel system..... But you are going to need a strong shelf. As far as your question about rears RS series 5 inch woofer or larger. Heresy would be great. Stands to get Heresy's high enough will be tough..... Possibly something like a mission style plant stand. Keep cruising Ebay/CList and this forum. You will eventually find everything.
  12. Had to look on page 3 to bring this back..... Well a week ago my Integra 40.1 came up with the no sound issue. Went onto Integra web site filled out contact us form..... Received email response the next day. Received a box with shipping label 3 days later. Dropped box and 40.1 off at FedEx that night. Had 40.1 back in 2 days.....Don't know what they did.... don't care. Works as good as new. Whole thing took about a week. Great. Service Integra.... Thanks to Manny
  13. There is an Academy on Ebay now for 300.00(no connection)
  14. Yes..... Don't worry about English or any other language...... We all speak speakers.... But we really want to see pictures of that sub
  15. Academy center for sure $300.00. RS 3's will work for the surrounds $100.00/175.00 a pair. Should be able to find them. Sub SVS... a lot of sub for the money. Receiver. That is really a matter of taste..... I would probably go with one of the new Pioneer Elites $1100.00/1500.00
  16. I agree with Youthman ..... If you want to stick to reference go to RF 83 or RF 7 for front. If you go with RF 83 use RC 64 center. If you go RF 7 in my opinion you are better off going with RC 7 center. You could always get larger surrounds RS 62 or move the RF 35's to the rear. My main system is a mix. I love my Chorus II's for music...... So I bought an Academy for center...... Just didn't want to put them in storage
  17. Bought three crossover sets from Bob.... Fronts and center channel....... Couldn't be happier Bob's crossovers get my vote
  18. Yes........ Much better than Beta..... Rewind is faster too...... So you won't get charged more on rental. All kidding aside...... I ran BLURAY with optical /coaxial and even used multichannel off my Oppo 83 for years....... You will never go back
  19. Those look nice...... Please let us know how they sound.
  20. Music....... 2 channel with subwoofer...... Just like being there
  21. Wow that looks nice. The thing that blows me away about Palladium is if you didn't know better you would never think they were Klipsch. Great look.
  22. Finally someone grabbed these..... I thought about it. My speaker warehouse (as my wife calls it) is full.
  23. Band of brothers.... That is my once a year playing hookie from work (cough cough) favorite. I would be so sick I would only be well enough to change disks/take a leak/make a sandwich Honey... Where is the thermometer I feel a chill
  24. bobdit , I really am interested in this Raspberry. How is it for video and audio. Can it handle 1080p / 7.1 audio
  25. Congratulations Looking forward to seeing pics.
