  1. I really do love this hobby, but it's so ridiculous. Why would you want to spend $300 on a CD player when you already have a $300 CD player (PS3)?
  2. I don't see any reason to change your other speakers.
  3. If you use google you will find many DIY ways to protect the label.
  4. I like your philosophy. [Y] I just installed some heights and haven't formed an opinion yet. What's your take on them?
  5. You can experiment with going lower with the two mains. I run my Cornwalls at 70.
  6. My dad drives an 06 ram. What can I say about it? Cons: the mileage is poor and the interior is rather spartan. Pros: it's huge, looks incredible when detailed, pulls very hard via hemi and it's been bulletproof mechanically. I love it. Sounds like you've found a deal.
  7. I installed four of those on my car actually. They make going over bumps much easier.
  8. I don't know if it has been covered anywhere above, but this is the fundamental reason vinyl generally trumps cd: Each is the same song--vinyl top, cd bottom. You will notice the peaks and valleys of the vinyl. The cd is much louder and without all that detail.
  9. You don't have to justify your passion to anyone. If someone does not respect it, they are not worth it. Keep on rockin'.
  10. Ironsave, I am confused by the above. I have not been posting here for 35 years, this is true, but I think I should be allowed to "ball bust" without hyperbolic end-of-the-world, how-dare-you reactions. Is this a museum? Chill, bro! I love everyone, too. And just so I do not offend anyone's sensibilities further, here's a Cornwall shot:
  11. This is basically the consensus of every review I read when the technology was released. Silly question, perhaps, but can the height processing be applied to all input types?
  12. "Who the f#$k is Justin Bieber?" -Ozzy
  13. I believe "taco filling" is a euphemism for "processed rat."
  14. 1) I think the smaller HSU would disappoint for HT. Not enough extension. 2) Ported subs are preferred for home theater. Of course, let's not get carried away. This does not mean that ported subs will ruin your music. 3) The filter caps how high the sub will play. The higher the frequency from the sub, the easier it is to isolate in a room.
  15. Don't mistake me helping the OP for a pissing contest. [] If I can read correctly, his post asks for sub suggestions for his HT and mentions nothing of music. In which case, deeper and louder is better.
