  1. Do you still have one set available? If you do I would like to buy them. Thanks
  2. In the same corner the RT-10D hit much harder than my RSW-12 did. The RSW was much better than the RT though when placed under an end table in the middle of my living room wall. I was happy with both but each had its own strengths in my house.
  3. I'm a fan of vintage Marantz receivers too. I've had quite a few but I got tired of dealing with issues like noisy controls and very finicky volume and tuning knobs. I've since moved on to a PM-8004. These sound awesome, have great build quality and can be found for $500 give or take. If you have a chance give one a whirl and I would expect you to like what you hear. I have not heard any of the lower model #'s in the PM line.
  4. I'm glad I found my RT10-D. It pounds in my 11'x23' den. GLWS Willland
  5. RB-5 ii Cherry I had a pair of these 7 years ago that were damaged in shipping. These are mint and since I might be moving I thought they would be good to have around in case I have to stay in an apartment for a few months.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions of Rendevous. I will make a point to eat there when I visit the hospital.
  7. Thanks, I'll be working second shift so that should help allow me to stretch my range of areas to live in.
  8. Haha, that actually crossed my mind when I originally applied for the position. Small world that you lived there for so long. My hotel is near the Wolfchase mall so I will at the very least drive around it while I'm there. Normally I prefer a downtown area where houses are older and have character but if I take the plunge and decide to buy I would buy keeping re-sale in mind. This job will open me up to more opportunities for other federal positions so it's possible that it would be a 1-2 year gig. I'm surprised to hear about tornadoes being an issue but I guess I shouldn't be. I just don't remember hearing of that kind of severe weather being in TN but I have never really paid much attention in the past. I am hoping that the humidity isn't as bad as south florida, that's what made living there unpleasant. Even worse than the people lol. Forum members are excluded from my last statement.
  9. Thats pretty interesting, thanks for the insight.
  10. Have you or your family lived in Millington ?
  11. Thank you for the link. I will check them out.
  12. Thanks for the tip! While I enjoy food greatly, the local cuisine won't influence my choice to go or stay put. I like eating BBQ but prefer to make it myself. I find almost all sauces to be too sweet. I like simple dry rubs.
  13. I have an opportunity to transfer to Memphis TN. I'm going to fly out there in a couple of weeks to check the town and workplace out to see if it's worth it to leave Phoenix. For anybody that either lives there or knows the area, any suggestions on areas to scope out to live? I know I don't want to be in an area that relies on engineering to control flood water. Based off of internet research I think Wolfchase to Germantown is the area I will like the most. I'm pretty surprised at how affordable homes are there, I hope it's not because the area is terrible.
  14. Those are impressive looking. Nice job with your restoration and good luck with your sale.
  15. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis93f22-klipsch-klipschorn-full-range I remembered these from a few weeks ago but I don’t recall them being this cheap. Maybe he lowered the price or maybe I’m just mistaken.
  16. I saw this first hand, and the pictures don't do it justice. It was impressive to look at and is truly doubles as a piece of art.
  17. Pleasure meeting you as well Rick. The rain was gone and the flooding had subsided. It was muggy as all heck though, 70's and 100% humidity. It felt like I was back in South Florida. I'm sure your wife will enjoy the upgrade, it's a good quality sub.
  18. It is an option but I'm sure it would be costly. I shipped a 10"x14"x15", 21# box by FedEx ground and it was $45.
  19. When you decide to pull the trigger I am still interested
