  1. Made by Dave @ Fastlane audio. This amp is a beast. The use of input transformer is likely the secrete sauce in this amp. Pass labs FIRST WATT F6 - Clone 25watts into 8ohms, 50watts into 4ohms. More than enough power to run any speaker. This is perhaps one of Nelson Pass's best designs, using in input transformer for voltage gain. It's a push-pull Class A power JFet amplifier.Pass made the design a DIY kit. The PCBs are the same ones used by FIRST WATT as are the JFets and Jensen input transformer. The amp has been built, tested and used lovingly for about a year. Case work is fantastic. Justin 323-868-9722
  2. There are other options but you need to ask AL about them. Ive been talking to AL about a Cornscalawal set at 700hz for a Heresy project I'm tinkering with.
  3. Great pre... good luck with the sale.
  4. send me a note or call JWC I gotta guy.
  5. The encore needs to be add for sure.. just haven't had the time. JWC, I send you some pics... hope you dig. 2 inputs, 1 output. RCA becomes muted with headphones. BTW the Mini punch is exceptional.
  6. They were the same units. I can't claim to have done a lot... the stock power supply has serious issues, and the amp performed just as it should with my bench top power supply. We found linear and regulated power supplies on eBay for 19V and poof the ACA became a reference level amp with ideal power for Heritage speakers. It would be fantastic to see Vox/Klipsch use to demo... and offer a 5watt pin with Pauls name on it.
  7. It started as a Kenzie. A few customers were using 1/4" to rca adapters with good results. The goal was the SE sonic sig and pair with P-P power for more realistic dynamic range :-). I had head a lot of request for making the 1/4" jacks up front and wanted to do a few other improvements... larger choke most notable. The Kenzie encore was born. Using 32ohm tap and padding down to allow enough Dial seemed to do the trick. The part of the story I enjoy the most is that the Daves Yields have never really left Brads use... They were my primary speaker for a lot of years and not have been his, and replaced a very respected speaker. Soon enough Ill have my own set of Jubs and will tap Al for crossovers.
  8. If you still have questions. Feel free to call. 323-868-9722
  9. Parks Audio Step Up Transformer 1:9 and 1:18 step up for MC Perfect fit for Denon DL103s. Ive used with a Grade Moving Iron and multiple DL103s. Shannon no longer sells this model. Im a fan of Cinmag transformers, hard to beat for the price and close to the bobs devices units for a fraction of the price. Justin 323-868-9722 justinsweber@hotmail.com $300
  10. $700 for the pair. Its really just cost of the amps... They are pretty amazing but Im tired of leaving them sitting in my closet :-).
  11. Fully built/ fantastic running 1875 Gaincard Mono blocks 100% new, fully discrete linear power suply. Oversized power transformer and power supply. Producing 17watts per channel and incredibly quite. The 1875 Ti chip is known to be one of the sweeter SS amps around. Incredibly quite and musical amps, 17watts RMS at -1db 10hz to 45khz. 100% duty cycle. Bench tested and ready to power almost any speaker. Really used on output, so when turned off there isn't any annoying popping sound. Lovely amps. Selling at cost $700 Justin 323-868-9722 justinsweber@hotmail.com
  12. Audiokarama Super Simple pre Linear, Regulated power supple. This pre is super quite and board flat from almost DC to 100KHz. 4 inputs, 2 outputs with gain of 12 so its compatible with tube amps or SS power amps. Full size chassis, Alps pots. Exceptional build quality. Built but never really used... Spring cleaning time. $400 Justin, 323-868-9722 justinsweber@hotmail.com
  13. Pass Labs amp camp amp kits assembled. 6 watts Single Ended SS amps. The ACAs don't run run correctly without the regulated power supplies. Once I added the linear and regulated 19V supply. The Supplies alone were $342. With the supplies (1 per channel) the amp is silent and produces 6 watts. These are fully benched and wonderful These are perfect for Klispch speakers. These are as close to a tube sound as Ive heard from SS amps. $700 for both with the power supplies, $40 for shipping. Justin 323-868-9722 or justinsweber@hotmail.com
  14. I've owned many VPIs including the avenger. The classic 1-2 presents a major upgrade as the arm is diff and the vta becomes adjustable. After that's it goes 3D? The SS 10" arm is incredible. My favorite sound is my classic 1 with grado sonata ref. I've had better systems but loved the warmth of that combo.
  15. JWC send me your email. I'll send pics. We used the Kenzie as a pre via 1/4" to rca jacks and ran the casablancas. It's was fantastic. For LA audio show we will be doing same but the Kenzie will get a pre option. 2 inputs, 1 set of rcas out. It's insanely quite... and can drive the snot out of stuff. Not a perfect pre but a fantastic solution.
  16. Thanks a a lot JWC. Dave sent you pics of my take on your bad boy? She hammers.
  17. No... didn't need. I dont want 20-30hz bass... they was strong articulate 30hz and up bass. Think Dave has running 30-600. The mid range driver was not to my liking but the bass was breathtaking.
