    SOLD

    man this stuff is amazing...
  2. My fall project is going to be a custom Center channel to match my RF7's. I was looking at Dura Tex this seems to be great option looks and good. Let me know how you have used it what can you tell the ' things not to do''. All input would be greatly appreciated. My hope is to have this project completed by Thanksgiving or the first week of Dec. I will post pictures as the project progresses.
  3. Eagles in Little Rock end of July
  4. Is you box sealed or ported? I can't tell from the picture. You can reach on the forum or jtubbs6117@gmail.com Thanks Jeff Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  5. You can still get them from Klipsch parts department. For about 161.00 each if I remember correctly. It would make a killer center channel. I remember reading older post where a couple members have done this already. Would love to hear about your experience and how you did it.
  6. This also will mean when I am done I will have 2 good 10 inch drivers sitting around. I am thinking about calling Bob crites to see if he would build me a custom center channel using his hf driver and his xover. But that's just an idea.
  7. I noticed one day my RF7's just didn't sound right, the low end just was not there anymore. So I started the search amps seem to be ok. Then a couple days later I decided to look into the speaker the source of the problem. As you can see from the pictures I had an amp fail that sent full cap discharge to my left RF7. One thing to be happy about with me running one amp on the HF and one on the LF it only cooked the LF. My friend and repair man said this was the first time he had ever seen a speaker output relay fail in the closed position. But I thought you guys might like the story. I am going to replace all 4 ten inch drives for a complete LF overhaul. Yes this was a sad day.
  8. DIY cost: pair of subs $1070.00 amp $399.99 pair of boxes $240.00 = $1709
  9. If memory serves me. Volume on the open space 6600 cubic feet. Cost for each setup is basically the same 1800.
  10. This should have been titled THX ultra 2 vs DIY. That was my mistake. I am looking toward a fall project that will allow me to add some bass to the living room and possibly move the PB ultra somewhere else. The amp will be the same Inuke 6000DSP but would you choose 2 SI HST 18's these look sick and have crazy motor travel. Or two THX ultra 2 subs? Power being the same so that variable is constant. Please understand the only sub I am using in the living room right now is the PB ultra 13. Thanks guys I hope this one has some good feedback
  11. I know that this system requires you use the klipsch KA1000 thx. But why? Is this only to make sure you have the THX2 certification? Could an inuke amp not drive 4 of these or a pair? I understand the signal path wouldn't be THX2 certified but it would sound great? I have thought about looking for the subs for cool fall project. Looking at the spec of the THX subs they are 8 ohm perfectly capable to be driven by the inuke or your amp of choice.
  12. I inquired about these. The seller was quick to respond and a gentleman. I hope I can purchase a few items from him in the future that glow green in the night....haha Mcintosh joke.
  13. https://littlerock.craigslist.org/ele/5023681458.html I have the black ash version these do not disappoint. Don't see them in AR that often. I am not affiliated with the seller.
  14. Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure playing Rocksmith wouldn't cause anay damage to my main system. While I save up for a stand alone guitar amp. (fingers crossed for Line 6 ampify 150). I really like the Jimi refernce. Mattser I would never hook up both and chain together. That was my mistake in the first post.i was talking about a product that Line 6 has called the TT that gives you all the modeling of their amps but does not amplifiy anything. It seems like a great product for people and opening up a new market for people learning to play the guitar or picking it back up. It's gresat to hear from someine that uses Rocksmith what a rgreat tool and alot of fun at the same time.i never thought about using the Game console outputs to plug into a PA system what a great idea.
  15. It has been a while since my last post. I have recently taken up leaning to play guitar which has been a blast. I hope to play and continue to learn the rest of my life. But the question I have is I bought Rock smith 2014 for PS3 as a learning tool. I want to make sure I understand something. I know that there are an unlimited number of sounds from an electric guitar with modeling amp. But the system I am using with my ps3 I play my guitar through my living room setup. Will me playing my game (learning tool) cause any harm to my current HIFI HT system? I am having trouble understanding how the distortion that gives guitars their great sound does not burn up the drivers in the guitar cabs? We all know or I could be wrong. I was under the impression that distortion for a given time will with a non uniform wave will cause more than normal heart around the voice coil and cause the ferrofuild to heat beyond it recommended range. IE the driver burns up. Why does this not happen to fender cabs marshall cab?ETc……. Can I damage my system? My Mc Intosh amp will if the signal is containing too much distortion will produce static at times. My only other time I can remember the amp doing this was has been when music contained artifacts or a bad. Line 6 make a product called the amlify TT this unit connects to you home hifi and offers you the modeling from line 6 but will this damage you high end system? I am going to purchase a separate amp and gear but until that time I just wanted to ask. I know there are many hear that play or have intimate knowledge of Pro Gear.
  16. One of the amps used in my living room. Anthem MCA 5
  17. I was looking to pull the trigger on some Bookshelves last year as always the forum brethren THE BEST choice for information. I was looking at a Emo airmotiv product as you can assume made by emotiva. Also in the running RB5’s if I could find them and shipping wouldn’t kill me. Now that back story has been laid out there. How they're being used? The RB75 are connected to a mid 80’s Denon integrated amp this is connected to a Logitech Bluetooth adapter and a pioneer 100 disc carousal. Also matching the Denon tuner for talk radio. I wanted to write this to say how happy I am with these RB75 speakers. They have more than enough bass authority for a bedroom or office setting. And I haven’t found one genre of music that doesn’t sound great. One thing to say is for me, you need to be a certain distance from them to really feel the impact from the 8inch drivers. I would tend to think this is the front port vs the rear port on the RB5. Maybe this is true, I am sure another forum member can explain this. What I have listen to lately Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Dustin Lynch Aerosmith and Counting Crows. I’m sure Van Morrison will work his way back to the playing side of the carousal. The amount of power for this is only 75watts per speaker if I remember the specs correctly. This seems to be plenty for the RB75. Shocking really to the amount of output you get for such little power. I guess to me this situation seems to be the perfect 2 channel setup for me. I hope to hook up mc252 up to them in a couple weeks just to see how the sound changes. If you are in the market for a pair of Bookshelves get a set you won't be dissapointed.
  18. I have a big collection of these but why not Klipsch Tervis cups? I am sure most of us know about these or have them. Why not have the function of a great and almost indestructible cup with out favorite logo. Just an idea.
  19. Chad thanks for starting this one.
