  10. Your TV is not HD ready, so it cannot accept a progressive output. You'll have to watch it in 480i and set the DVD player to interlaced. You can't really call the tv a POS - you're the one that bought an analog TV. You should still use the component video cables, just get a cheap dvd player- like an entry level Panasonic or Sony. The picture will still be very good... This message has been edited by dearlv on 09-22-2002 at 12:33 PM
  11. what kind of dvd player do you have? if it's a JVC, the component output is not active from the factory...
  12. the KLF20's/c7 i have available are black. I live in NV
  13. I have an extra pair of KLF-20's, and a C7 if you have any interest before I start posting them.
  14. There is a denon dvd 900 coming out too. Should be avail in about a month. I'd bet Lord of the Rings will beat it to store shelves....
  15. I think that the type of rear speakers you use are a matter of taste- WDST, dipoles, monopoles. Of course it depends on the room too. KLF-20's just blew away the S6's for me. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the S6, just do not pay a fortune for them when the RS3 and RS7 are perfectly viable options. None of them are a "prefect" match. I have never been a big WDST fan, but the RS7 did impress right away when I first heard them. I would bet you can get the RS7 easier and cheaper than S6's too.
  16. Rf-7's as rears with Legends? That would be interesting. RS-7's I can see. I had the KSP-S6's as rears with KLF-20's and KLF-C7 and then got another two KLF-20's. Another pair of Legends was MUCH better. The KSP-S6's are overrated with Legends. They were just the best thing available during the Legend's production time (other than using more Legends). A pair of the KSP-S6's went for over 800 on ebay. This is insane. They were 750 retail when they were available. If you cannot get KLF-10's or 20's, get RS-3's or RS-7's. I would even consider 2 KLF-C7's if you can position them right. my 2 cents
  17. I have no problem with people buying Klipsch online. I wouldn't pay full pop either. YOu can get discounts at a lot of retailers. But why should Klipsch, or Denon, or Yamaha warranty what you buy from unauthorized dealers? If you want to save money buying online, there are inherent risks. Everyone can buy what they want, where they want. But you know the policies and you make your decisions. It's the people that whine that Klipsch or denon suck because they don't warranty these items that don't get it.
  18. If Klipsch does not support their dealers, and everyone buys off the internet, how will people hear Klipsch speakers? Through RealPlayer? Or are you one of those people that likes to go to a store to waste the time of people that make their living off of selling? Do you really think Klipsch does not warranty speakers purchased from unauthorized dealers just to save a few bucks? Klipsch should not change their policy. If you are a cheap bastard then live without the support and take your chances and stop whining. Authorized dealers are authorized dealers for a reason.
  19. A lot of people don't seem to understand that if there is no profit, there is no product. Build the speakers yourselves. If Klipsch only sold through the internet at 10 point margins, we'd all be saying goodbye to klipsch within a year. Think of it this way- what if Klipsch speakers came with a one day warranty. You could buyonline with that one day warranty, or you could buy at a dealer and pay extra for a five year warranty (which Klipsch comes with now). Either way you are paying for the warranty that everyone is bitching Klipsch won't provide if you purchase from an unauthorized dealer. Everyone wants to buy at dealer costs and whines when the manufacturers don't stab their loyal dealers in the back. Things are the way they are for good reason, whether you like it or not. YOU make your buying decision. Klipsch rulez
  20. I have sold both for years. get the Mitsubishi. Picture on both is good, but the Mits is more likely to last longer and guarantees upgradeability. Sony sometimes rides on its well known name. Actually, I will be getting the 46" Mitsmyself in about a month.
  21. ok this will open a nice big can of worms. what are your experiences comparing the quality of Yamaha vs Denon? I know there is other stuff like Onkyo, H/K, Outlaw, but who has had experience comparing Denon to Yamaha with Klipsch speakers? Denon seems more on the cutting edge for video concerns- component video switching, DPLII, etc; while Yamaha is big on musicality and DSP modes for music and theater. I am especially interested in some of the higher end models like Yamaha RX-V1 (RX-Z1 coming soon), RX-V3200 and Denon AVR4802 and 5800 (5803 coming soon)... Thanks for opinions based on some experience.

guys how much should I try to get for 2 pairs of KLF20s and a KLFC7 with a KSW12? they were originally 4100. I know I cant get close to that, but I should get something! Shipping is a fortune and Vegas can be tough- there's so many retailers. I hate selling these but I'll have no room. Mention this Forum if you email me! Thanks dearlv70@yahoo.com
