  1. The speaker 'feast' - Awesome pic! [Y]
  2. Seems like Klipsch had K originally and changed to E types on later date...And you are the fortunate to experience them together! [] This does solve a mystery of K and E, but it doesn't solve your problem! If you run a frequency sweep to find out at which frequency it does, will help you diagnose the problem with loose dust cap or chipped glue rattle within...
  3. I would set it to 80Hz and play with the setting up to 120Hz and see what you like...
  4. Is there a di-pole or bi-pole switch setting on the Klipsch RS-3s? Can't think of anything else right now...
  5. @Troy, per Klipsch site the specification KLF-30 uses two K-31-K. http://www.klipsch.com/klf-30 btw., which one is the problematic K or E woofer?
  6. While recalibrating 'Audyssey' that I lost during power outage, came across this from Audyssey! Long story short, it seems that everytime, when we loss power, it resets to 'OFF' setting but typically I could revert to saved Audyssey setting. This time, the receiver had lost the saved Audyssey settings!!! [+o(] Recalibrated...Came acroos 'Small versus Large' article at 'Innovation Blog' from Audyssey... http://www.audyssey.com/blog/2009/05/small-vs-large/
  7. I would first disconnect the preamp to see if the noise is still there. If the noise goes away then connect a different signal source to see what happens and make sure you start with all the level controls at minimum and turn them up carefully. If it appears OK then you need to connect another amp to the output of your preamp and see what happens again starting with all the level controls to minimum. This test amp must have volume controls and ideally it is another sub similar to what you have. Since you mentioned McIntosh Preamp does it have valves and if so one of the valves might have failed. Try with another (2nd known good) source. Good luck!
  8. Corn Hole is basically corn bag toss (bags filled of corn instead of beans) with 2 angled board approximate 2 x 3 feet about 30 feet apart. 1 point for on board. 3 if though the hole. I first saw in southern Indana at wife's family reunion and first played a few years back at Tuba's Place in Batesville Indiana. Amy's blog on cornhole. What Klipsch Engineers Do For Fun Amy did start a thread about Cornhole That includes the following pic Wikipedia description includes pic of board. How to make your own. Commercial often called other things such as Tailgate Toss, or Bean Bag Toss. American Cornhole Association (I'm not making that up) Rules, etc. Heard this for the first time! [H]
  9. Many congratulations on your Klipsches! Enjoy!!! Welcome to the Klipsch forum!
  10. This information from 'Audyssey' should help you to zero in with your 5.1 speaker settings - Good Luck! Ref: http://www.audyssey.com/audio-technology/audyssey-dsx
  11. Welcome to the forum pigonthewing76... Good save and hopefully all is fine with you and the rest...Congrats on your Cornwalls! Enjoy! Should be easy fix as Trey mentioned. Good luck in your fix...
  12. Hope it's not inherent issue and you find one of the area mentioned above to fix the rattle. Good luck...
  13. Per 'Audysse, Wides Before Heights' Ref: http://www.audyssey.com/audio-technology/audyssey-dsx Realized that Pioneer has MCACC system and you might not have 'front wide' option with 1120...

  15. Nice...Like you said, those RF-82 IIs (wides) almost look like RF-7 IIs in the pic...lol!
  16. RC-64 II - it's a nice dynamic and powerful center channel speaker... [Y] Great, that you like it as well...
  17. Awesome! t-man, those KLF-30s look very nice...
  18. OMG, you have two of them! Cool! [H][Y]
  19. It's ok Bill. We in the forums understand your illness very well. Post some pics of them when you get them home. Good luck and congratulations in advance! Yeah, we all Klipsch lovers are ****! []
  20. Cool! Nice, that you can place a RF-7 as a center channel...
  21. Cheers Pite, and I wasn't ditsing your Denon AVR. I have the Denon AVR 3805 and AVR 3803 driving my other 2 less demanding Klipsch Home Theaters and love them! When I had to drive the HT listed in my sig with the AVR 3805 for a few months, I had to switch out my side surround towers for Bookshelf speakers and then had to listen between 4 and 6 dB lower because of distortion at the higher levels I had been accustomed with my 48XX series AVR. np...All, I could say that either we are lucky having one of the nice Denon piece or may be because hearing loud for shorter duration doesn't tax the receiver. Fingers crossed!
  22. Obviously, bi-amping is not double the power to the speakers (i.e. 110W RMS to 220W RMS because I bi-amped), but as the last line from 'Trey Cannon' quote states, the major benefit that I see from passive bi-amping is to help isolating HF and LF sections' load or a dipping for a given frequency. Thus LF and HF amplifier sections have their own dips to tackle for a given frequency and hence potentially a better amp response (again in theory, because I don't know how the amplifier section is designed on 2808ci.). In other words less stress/dipping cycles that amp has to recover when compared to combined LF&HF sections. I totally agree, that very few amps that wouldn't degrade or would handle dipping (dynamic/transient speaker load) without clipping or distorting. So far, with Klipsch RF-7 IIs, we haven't experienced it...Fingers crossed!
