  1. That is a lot of sound in a relatively small room. Looks great! I have a little sub envy though..
  2. lol I'm only trying to hit it home that if you think your gonna beat the rythmik your gonna need to do a good size build. I know man, just messing with you. I have always tried to follow your advise, you have been super helpful. 18's are just too much speaker for my minimalist style. Maybe one day when I live in more than 1,200 SF;)
  3. Congrats on the duals! I was seriously considering the PB-2000 (even made a thread about it here). I bet they sound fantastic!
  4. Oh yeah? My dad could beat up your dad.
  5. That is a smokin' deal!
  6. And I'll take the depths of the Rythmik any day. There's a seat for every *** I guess:)
  7. You are going to love the new 70" and Sc-65! The SC line is leaps and bounds better than the RX-70, you will be able to tell when you lift it;) Congrats and let us know your impressions.
  8. The Rythmik out performs the SVS PB-Ultra down low. Maybe I am just chasing a impossible goal like usual. I really do appreciate the input guys! I'll check out the mini Marty but my guess is it isn't mini, haha.
  9. Tron and the new Thor are awesome.
  10. I need to be in the 10% category. Haha. I know Scrapp loves 18" but I only listen to movies at -15 max, basically a sissy around these parts. Just messing around but I would imagine I can get a pretty serious sub/subs for $800. Trying to beat Rythmik's performance for roughly half the cost. I will paint if need be. Thank you Rowan, I will look into those components in more depth tomorrow. Cheers!
  11. I am only 8 though;) I am not opposed to having it Line-X'd...
  12. Based on your posts, you are much more of a "audiophile" than me. Just thought I would toss my two cents into the ring. With that said, I almost bought the X4000. I would wait just a little longer, the new X4100 is right around the corner. Or at least get the X4000 at a discount. Acessories 4 Less has refurbished X4000's for $799
  13. Like the title says. Build me a subwoofer on parts express.. I own no saws or abilities to build a subwoofer true DIY style so I would like to know what you would build if you were me? Requirements: 15" or under woofer $800 or under Prefer not to deal with painting or finishing I am buying a house within the next year so I don't know the actual room size. I could even up my budget if duals are preferred (love symmetry). Let's hear the opinions from people that know more than me!
  14. I had a Onkyo 818 with X32, I know this is a popular opinion but I wasn't impressed. I will be unwrapping this beauty tomorrow night:
  15. By far the best speakers I have ever owned. GLWS!
  16. Nice looking system! Those Synergy's look really good in cherry.
  17. I'm with you Schu. I think the loudest I ever got my SC-35 up to was -15 and I thought my hearing was going to fail.

    Dobly Atmos

  19. Can you return it? While it's not a bad receiver based off reviews, the VSX Pioneer receiver I owned (not exactly sure the model but it was one of the top VSX models) was lacking in power. I sold it and snagged a SC-35, the difference was huge! It might work just fine for your listening levels but when a receiver can be had like this one for roughly the same price, it might be worth returning the VSX-70. http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/denavrx3000/denon-avr-x3000-7.2-4k-ultra-hd-networking-receiver-w/airplay/1.html Now if you can stretch your budget to $799 (I know it's a large jump) you can pick up a SC-1523-k (MSRP $1,699) with 9 channels of D3 amplification. D3 amplifiers will likely be the most power you will ever need. Just wanted to toss out some options. If you keep the VSX-70, I am sure you will love it. Pioneer (while it lasts) is by far and away favorite receiver brand. I grabbed that SC-1523-k off amazon and I should have it in a day or two.
  20. I like the looks of the new 12" subwoofer.
  21. I think the Plus has the edge but I definitely wouldn't say that is is substantially better than the PB2000. The PB2000 seems to be the best "bang for buck" sub that SVS offers. This was part of my reason for wanting to try it. The 45 day trial period allows you to try out a couple of sub with no penalties. Call SVS, they can point you in the right direction. With that said, I was looking for a smaller footprint so I went with the PC-12 Plus with the plan to go with duals if one isn't enough for my room.
  22. Dual Outlaw Audio LMF-EX subs. A little over budget but I would call them and see if they can offer a discount for multiples. Reaction Audio and PSA subs are also very good subs for the budget conscious.
  23. Congratulations on the new speakers! I have never even heard the RF-7's but I really do like the looks of them. Love that SVS also. Great system!
