  1. One day I'll have the amps and Pre amps and all that fun stuff. But for now, a little bit bigger sub for the HT will have to do. The RW-8 will be moved to the little 2 ch. setup in my bedroom.
  2. I'm officially bitten by the upgrade bug. I ordered an SVS PB-1000 sub last night. Can't wait for it to get here.
  3. Gald you enjoyed the show. They came through my area, but I didn't know until after they had come and gone. I was really bummed about that.
  4. KG 2.2V is the way to go. I would love to hear those KG 5.2's. Have you done any updates to them? I updated my KG3.2's with Crites crossovers and Titanium tweeters and they sound better than they ever have. They have been retired to my bedroom 2 channel setup and I go to sleep with them running Pandora every night. If you upgrade, the Reference II series have some good prices right now. You may have to shop around. I really enjoy my new setup. It's in my sig below. This is the first time I've had a matching system and couldn't be happier with my new toys. I wouldn't say they are better or worse than the KG's. They all sound great to my ears. I'm sure you would be pleased. You could make a nice 2 channel system with the KG's. Just as I did.
  5. Beautiful machine!
  6. WEC at Circuit of the Americas in October 2013. It was a blast. I walked the circuit three times during the race.
  7. Thanks! I'm going to do some reading and learn as much as I can about my options.
  8. Outlaw has the Ultra X-12 Powered Sub now. It looks comparable to the LFM-1 Plus. It has a different amp. Thanks Brian for the recommendation.
  9. Right now I'm in an apartment. The room is its in right now is about 13'X17'. I'm only planning on being in an apartment for another year or so. Not sure about what size room it will be in when I finally move into another house. Budget wise, I'd like to keep it under 750 if possible.
  10. Thanks for the info. I haven't read much about the X4000. Most of the opinions I've read on the 4520 have been positive. I really think I need to upgrade my sub as well. The RW-8 I have is ok, but small and not much power. I'm not sure what I want. I welcome any recommendations y'all may have.
  11. I put the jumpers back on and did away with the bi-amp mode on my 1911. After listening for a few days, I don't think it was making that much difference. Plus, it was just taking power away from the other channels if my understanding of how the receiver ditributes power to each channel is correct. I'm seriously considering upgrading my receiver to an AVR-X4000 or an AVR-4520CI. Maybe even adding an amp later on and using my receiver as a preamp.
  12. gagdtfreek, be careful with the volume. Driving dirt track cars for 10+ years, plus numerous rock concerts without adequate hearing protection has taken its toll on me. I have Tinnitus that will drive anyone bonkers. It's not so bad during the day. But, at night when I'm trying to go to sleep, it's hell. It sneaks up on you when you least expect it. So, be careful. BTW,I love the system you have put together.
  13. Watching this right now. I was at this very show in Dallas. I will be at the show in New Orleans next month. It's a great Bluray. Great concert!!
  14. Thanks! The room is crap. But, I'm making the best of it.
  15. Here's my setup! Crappy pic!!! My photograpy skills need work!

  17. . That is an interesting idea! I may have to try that eventually. Gonna have to start saving my pennies.
  18. I'm offically on the quest for audio bliss.
  19. Had to go into speaker setup menu and set fronts to bi-amp.
  20. Well, got home and did the deed. My ears say the bass is a little cleaner. Maybe, overall a little more crisp. I live in an apartment right now. So, I don't really get to push them as hard as I would like. It's not a dramatic improvement. But, I think it was worth the effort. Thanks y'all.
  21. Thanks guys! It's really a great group here.
