  1. Hey! Thanks for the great info Tom! I'm gonna do a search for that sauer gun right now. I thought the head viallain in die hard 1 had a Steyr Aug. Actually, I'm positive he did. And the other terrorists mostly had HK mp5's as did Bruce Willis. Anyways. Thanks again. Hey It would be so awesome if you could post some pics! -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  2. Oops. I just noticed you said class 1 firearms. I guess that excludes assault rifles. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  3. Tom you just got me goin'. Sig has a new firearm? What are the specs? Were you selling to civilians or to the military/police? I'm just curious how much a 552 goes for? If you only sell to civilians then you probably didn't carry any assault rifles. Our gun laws are much stricter here in Canada. All we have available for civilians are sports rifles. And nothing exotic either. Just run of the mill stuff like Smith and Wessons. If I could, I'd love to get my hands on a fn p90 or a famas. I think they look awesome. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  4. Isn't the Evidence 28 grand American? I read somewhere that they custom make it to order and will match the finish to your home surroundings. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  5. I wouldn't recommend monster, bare wire cable as it is more expensive than non monster and offers nothing but the brand name. Just go for 12/14 gauge oxygen free cable. If however you are looking for optical or rca cables, then they are not bad. If you can find acoustic research for cheaper, then get that. Sony store carries both. Brock Audio downtown near St. Lawrence Market (East of Front and Bay)also carries monster. For my speakers I use premade biwire cables with 12 and 14 gauge oxygen free wrapped in a thick rubber conduit. That's 3 bucks a foot at Kromer Radio. (Dundas and Bathurst)Sometimes they carry after market monster cablin at half price! I got good quality subwoofer cable for 15 bucks. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  6. Cool. I'll try that. Thanks a lot guys. Hey. Like my new sig? Does anybody agree or what??? -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  7. I agree with you BB. However, most companies only give review samples for a short period of time. I guess reviewers should request to keep them for longer periods of time. (By the way I still think you over exaggerate the deffectiveness of promedia speakers. I've had dual 2.1's for over a year now and they sound as good as they did on the first day. Actually they have become smoother since my first tests. Best computer speakers I've ever had. And don't say I've never heard good sound before. I have a reference system that I use for music and dvd's.) -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."

  9. They modified the gear box on all the cars. That's why some had more gears than stock. They modified them so much the only thing left was the shell. In any case, it is just a movie, and not a particularly good one. That Paul Walker guy should be put to sleep. He's in my books for worst acting performance along with Ben Afleck for every sinlge movie he's been in and Alec Baldwin for Pearl Harbor. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I am very hot."
  10. Hey Jacks. I have the RB-3's. I couldn't hear much difference between the 3's and 5 (not 5ii's) Therefore, I doubt it there will be any audible difference in most source material between the 5's and the 5ii's. The 5's will go a bit lower than the 3's but if you set them to small, it won't matter much. If you buy 5ii's over 5's it will be a peace of mind purchase more than anything else. Phsyically, they both use the same drivers and enclosures. The main difference is in the internal monster cable in the ii's. Unless you are playing at near max output, the differences probably won't kick in. I would go for the ii's so that I will not regret in the future. -UP ------------------ Liv Tyler as Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!" - Translation: "I look very hot as an elf."
  11. Hi guys. I have a lot of cables behind my a/v rack (as do everybody else) and was wondering how important it is to have your cables well organized. Right now, it's just a bunch of spahgetti. Does this cause audible and visual disturbance? If I take the time to better organize my cables will I get clearer sound and picture? I know that in network cabling it is best to have data cables and power cables separated and perpendicular to each other in order to reduce emi. I'm sure it is the same case with a/v cables, but to what extent? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  12. Come on Busa. Don't be such a **** -disturber. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  13. Nice hands. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  14. Justin, if you're 17, how may I ask did you get a 46: misubishi hdtv in your room? That thing costs thousands. I'm 23 and all I could afford was a 32" toshiba hdtv. How do you even fit that thing in your room??? -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  15. Clubsta, as most owners will tell you, the klf series has more "slam". Hard to describe in words... Sounds great with hard rock. Not that the RF series doesn't have slam though, just not as much I suppose. RF series are imo more refined and detailed. They are both great performers. Both are dynamic and full sounding. You may get a bit better bass on the legends, but if you use a sub, you probably won't hear much difference in bass. I believe the RF series are made with better components (metal cones, internally wired with Z series monster cable on the 2001+ models)Does this provide a MUCH better sound? Probably not, but they should be more durable. RF series are also more expensive. But you are paying for newer technology and those killer copper coloured woofers. I almost bought the reference series on looks alone. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  16. Klipguy, where did you order your rsw-15? Kromer Radio? That's where I got all my klipsch. How much are they charging you for the rsw-15? I'm trying to find the best price for klipsch stuff. Thanks. This is how much I payed in Canadian dollars for my gear at Kromer: RB-3 $950 RC-3 $525 KSW-15 $820 RS-3 $800 Thanks -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  17. I have the 3's, and they are my babies... I can't believe I said that. I think I've seen that "I see you baby" ad on this site too much. I love them. Nice wood finish, great clarity. The 5's are bigger and of course will play slightly lower, but if you're going to set them to small then there won't be much difference. You may hear a fuller sound, but I doubt it. If I had the money I would have gotten 5's over the 3's. But then again if I had the money I would get RF-7's. You will not hear much difference, but the 5 is a better speaker. It all comes down to your budget and space limitations. If no budget and no space limitation, go for 5! -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross! 18. Happy New Year Justin, Boa, Ears, TV, and everyone else. Thanks for everyone's help last year. Cheers to a fresh new start and many more hours of sweet listenin'. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  19. Keep in mind the promedia 2.1 subwoofer has an internal crossover which plays everything up to 150 hz. Just make sure you have adequate bass management on your receiver that has either an adjustable crossover or a low enough crossover so that you could tune them to mate with your other speakers. A low pass crossover of 150hz is probably too high for a home theatre sub, unless you have really small mains. Most main speakers for home theatres can play down to 80hz which is a very typical low pass crossover. 150hz will sound muddy and the bass will be too localized at the subwoofer location. And even then, I'm not sure how good this will sound. It is afterall a multimedia subwoofer. I have dual 2.1's myself. Although the sub is great for that price, it's not made for ht applications. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  20. I had no idea the Lascalas were THAT big. Dear God. And I thought having a ksw-15 in my bedroom was bad..... -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  21. Klipguy. That's pretty sick looking. Your friends using mostly def tech speakers though. How come no Klipsch? I'm sure it still sounds amazing though. I'm not too crazy about his old purple black color scheme. Other than that, everything looks very clean and professional. Having the tv and racks inset into the partition wall is cool looking. I live in Toronto too. I'd love to do a project like that when I have more time and money. Right now I don't have my own place yet so I won't be able to make any drastic changes. Good stuff. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  22. I want a wife that gives RS-7's for Christmas. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  23. You have a yamaha receiver with front effects channels right? If you don't then I don't know why you have 5 channels in the front... Nice setup by the way. Those are all legend series right? Don't you think it's creepy how that svs just snuck in their for the picture? Did you notice this when you were taking it? I bet it crept right back to its corner right after the picture was taken without you even knowing about it. Sneaky little bastard. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  24. Holy Moses Justin. You're over 3000 now. Your status has been upgraded to "answering machine". Congrats. I hope you and your family had an amazing Christmas. Take care dude. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
  25. Jake, the easiest would be to use a cad program like autocad 2000, but it's expensive if you can't get a copy pirated. -UP ------------------ I love you Aki Ross!
