    KLIPSCH RSW-15

Great! Suddenly they're popping up all over. That should help you negotiate a better deal. Especially if he doesn't get any other offers. Good luck
  2. I was looking for a C45. I just ordered a new processor yesterday. Now you post a brand new one.... Excellent stuff. Good luck with your sale.

    KLIPSCH RSW-15

Three more RSW-15's just popped up on eBay. (One listing has 2 for sale) That's 4 of these subs currently listed on eBay. I know I read a few members have been searching for these. If you're local to one I'm sure you could work a deal for local pickup. No one wants to ship these.

    KLIPSCH RSW-15

I know there's a lot of guys on the lookout for these (including myself) There's a cherry RSW-15 on eBay with a buy it now of $800. Local pickup in Wisconsin. Seller says he has box and packaging, so shipping may be worked out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140927999986?redirect=mobile

    Palladium P39's

Where it says "filed under" in my first post is the link. That's it again, if you just copy and paste it. I've never been able to post clickable links on this forum.. or pictures for that matter. My computer skills are fairly primitive

    Palladium P39's

I'm not sure how you're doing your math. A pair of P39's retail for $20,000 for the pair. They are being offered for $9,750 for the pair. Your math is off by 10,000. I'd say saving $10,250 on a new pair of speakers is a pretty good deal. That's over half off. Most retailers weren't discounting more than 20% off of these.

    Palladium P39's

Audio classics has the big boys for $9,750. I know it's a lot of money, but by far the best deal I've seen on these. If I didn't change gear so much I'd probably be on my way to grab these myself. http://app.audiogon.com/listings/full-range-klipsch-p39f-paladium-top-of-the-line-new-old-stock-2013-02-25-speakers-13850
  10. Hey Nic, it's been a while. I'm not sure if you have the most supportive wife, or if she's finally had enough of you shaking the whole house that she's wanting you to invest more into that rocket you've got. To anyone interested in these speakers, I'll gladly vouch for their performance. I heard them in Nic's home when they were his mains and they were absolutely amazing. Well beyond anything in the reference level.
  11. WOW!! I'd pay to see a picture of the guy that collected all that
  12. Cograts on the nice amplifier. If you're going to keep using it in your 2 channel rig, I think you would really benefit by swapping the Onkyo receiver for a stereo preamp.
  13. I bought some replacement RF-7 grills from Klipsch about 2 years ago. I think they were about $70 each including shipping. I'm sure the smaller ones would be considerably less. I think I've still got the old ones. They'd be good as new if someone wanted to put new cloth on them. Probably not worth boxing and shipping, but an option if Klipsch doesn't still have them in stock.
  14. I would take the Acurus all day over the Emotiva. I tried a XPA-5 and returned it. Nice amp, but if you're using high efficiency speakers (Klipsch) it's a bit noisy. It has a high gain which gives you that hiss out of the horns. I never owned an Acurus, but I had a Aragon. Aragon and Acurus were both made by Mondial and are said to have the same sound. I thoroughly enjoyed my Aragon. Just my .02

    B&k 200.7

There's a B&K 200.7 on eBay right now for only $888 buy it now. That's a great deal on a great amp. Very warm sounding. Works great with Klipsch. Someone buy it so I don't have to! http://www.ebay.com/itm/111002952819?redirect=mobile

    Oppo BDP-95

Oppo is selling refurbished BDP-95's for $799 http://www.oppodigital.com/blu-ray-bdp-95/
  18. Don't you have the 83's listed on eBay for considerably less? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-rf-83-/170975162010?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item27cee9ee9a I thought we took care of other members
  19. I owned a XPA-2 and XPA-5 briefly and experienced the hiss. The hiss was tolerable, but I had the 60hz hum with the XPA-5 which wasn't. Apparently an incompatibility with my Integra processor. I think what you're using as a pre makes a big difference in your results. I'm an addict and have had many different amps in my systems. I'd recommend taking a look at some of the B&K amplifiers. They have a very warm sound, which works great with Klipsch. They can be found pretty inexpensive used.
  20. Congrats! I'm glad a forum member got those. I was watching that auction.. Almost snatched them myself for the $220 price they stayed at until the last 30 min. Afterwards a pair popped up locally that I picked up just today. I'm listening to them right now and couldn't be happier. I have 4 pair of RF-7's, RF-7II's, RF-83's... Just to name a few. None of them sounded right in my bedroom since I needed to place them against the wall. The RB-75's have the front port, so they're right against it and sound fantastic! I must say, they're a bit large for a bookshelf speaker.
  21. It's funny you say that because sound distributors just listed 4 pairs of cherry B stock RF-7II's on eBay for buy it now price of $1499. Good luck! They're great speakers

    Oppo 93

HA!!! You said "butthurt"!! That made my day:) Even my girlfriend has been saying it since wathching that episode of Workahaulics, and she nevers puts up with my stupid stuff. Very tight butthole my friend!
  23. Like I said... the speakers are 8 ohms. If you read your owner's manual it will explain the settings. They are only to protect the receiver. It will not hurt to try the different settings as long as your impedance is above the setting you select (which they are) but there is nothing to be gained. The receiver won't gain any power, if anything you'll notice less. The switch doesn't make your speakers 4 or 6 ohms.
  24. Yes it will sound different. It will be worse! Your speakers are 8 ohm... period. The settings on the back of the receiver are only to protect the receiver. Most basic receivers don't have large power supplies and enough cooling to handle pushing 4 ohm speakers hard. Lower impedance speakers will make your receiver run much hotter. Selecting 4 ohms on the receiver will actually limit the power to protect the receiver from over heating. My advice would be to leave it set to 8 ohms and see how it sounds. If you feel you need more power you should look into a separate amplifier. These speakers are very efficient, and do pretty well with receivers, but if you really want to use the full potential of these than a seperate amp is the way to go. Hope this helps
