I want to get a pair of the Forte IV! What a great review, too. I pretty much felt the same about my La Scalas, but the Fortes would fit better in my house (says the the guy who had MWMs and LS in the same room).
Still, one of the best reviews of a set of speakers I have ever watched. Nicely done.

Those are a little difficult, as the crossover is attached to the back of the terminal cup.

Do you mean one of the binding posts used to attach the speaker wire is broken? The Heresy II crossover came mounted to the rear terminal plate. The earliest had a round cup, while the later ones were rectangular.

Dug these up, just for the history. Wendy Carlos studio with the Cornwalls hanging from the ceiling. She lived in a Brownstone, and had her studio there.

Yes, the simple way is to make a box about 10 inches tall with ports. (Edit: 10 inches inside height)
Four in. diameter x 7 inches seems to be the most popular.

Hi Kippy, welcome to the forums. Did you buy the new Heritage Jubilees or a pair of the Undergound Jubilees?
It would make a difference. The Heritage Jubilees come with an active crossover.

What @Invidiosulus posted above was a copy of one of DJK's posts.
He passed away a few years ago. Used to work at a Klipsch dealership in Iowa, later part of his life was an engineer at Collins Aerospace. Brilliant, funny, thoughtful. Would bend over backwards to help you, but didn't suffer fools. He probably threw away/burned more speaker designs than most people have owned.
His directness turned off a lot of people. I knew his younger brother and through him, met Dennis. That's how I got turned on to Klipsch.
The ported LS still comes back like a ghost. May he rest in peace.

The JJ2A3 is rated for a higher pate dissipation (40 watts). I never tried them in my 2A3 amps and they were only designed for the original voltage 2A3 tubes. I had some Sovtek, but really liked the EH2A3 gold grid 2A3s. Not too expensive and they sounded good. I powered my Heresy IIs and La Scalas with the EH and they were fine for me. YMMV.

You still have the Apple product? You could install Linux on it. I'm not on a crusade. But there are versions foe most hardware out there (unless it's a pre Intel Mac)
You can try it out by booting off a USB thumb drive, to get a feel for it.

The poliomyelitis still exists in Pakistan and Afghanistan. I would hope it never shows up here again.

NO to the first and YES to the second. My doc and my pharmacist both said I should get vaxed.
I had almost everything before I was school age in 1955. My brother, three years older brought everything home from school. I think I got all the way to 8th grade or later before I was sick again.

We are about 2/3 Linux and the rest windows 11 where I work. For us, the Linux was easier to install and deploy, mos updays can be done with no reboots. If you don't need perfect compatibility with MS Office, Libre Office is also free and works quite well (also a windows and Mac version available).
If you don't specifically need a Windows app, Linux is pretty easy to setup. Twenty minutes and you are done. While there are ones that look like other OS's, ours look pretty similar to Win 7, so it's easy from the get go.
Windows does have some advantages from a management point of view. MS is a huge supporter of the Linux community, and when Apple came up their OS after OS9, they used BSD Unix with their own widow manager. The physics teachers at the college I. Worked at didn't necessarily like Apple, but they loved being able to compile and run Unix app on their Macs.
Crazy world. I have both a Windows and Linusystem at my job.

Thanks, Dave. I'm doing fine, was just a little wobbly at work yesterday, but we kept busy cleaning our office most of the day. Decided to unload/toss any computer over five years old. That means we took drives and memory out of about 20+ computers and have them in a bin for an electronics recycler to pick up. That included about a half dozen 6 core cpu boxes.
