  1. never heard those speakers. the 440 will be a bit more laid back compared to the 62ii. the 62ii is the better center of the two in my opinion. but the 440 might look and sound better with your particular speakers. tough call.
  2. no but last i heard they are done for. dont think there is anything in the pipeline for them to be replaced either.
  3. dont get the atmos modules. @MetropolisLakeOutfitters can tell you that the atmos modules aren't what they are cracked up to be as well as they dont keep up with the rf-7ii all that well. go in ceiling if you can.
  4. you could go with the rc-10 or a rc-42 also. they also used 4.5" woofers.
  5. three matching speakers up front is best. so i would do that for sure. forte will be great with music also I'm sure.
  6. That's a great deal. That's what I payed for mine when I bought them.
  7. You have the tads on yours? Active or passive setup?
  8. That thread you posted is he the guy that built yours? Cause those photobucket pics are of a three way. Wondering if those alk top ends are any better than the 402 horn.
  9. Two things 1st where did you buy the tv and what did you pick it up for if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking into the same model. 2nd Did you order your Jubs veneered or did you have those built special?
  10. Is that a 2.35 tv? I agree I'd buy one of those in a heart beat as well. I've thought of just buying another projector and getting a 2.35 screen upstairs like the theater lol
  11. Here's a new question. Am I gonna benefit from anything on these newer models if I have ZERO and I mean Zero desire to go to a UHD player or upgrade to a 4K pass through receiver? Or am I then just paying more money for a model for better blacks and then never really using the tv as it was intended?
  12. That's why I was asking. I figured that was the case. Yeah don't want a 300 piece of junk. And not in a huge hurry.
  13. i haven't tv shopped in a while. have these sony and samsung tvs been these prices before black friday? same thing bill. did you notice the prices on these non black friday modes go cheaper? seems like these are all the same price everywhere which makes me think they aren't on sale, more of a everyday "street" price
  14. id rather buy something that will last. dont we all. its 1600 now or the k model of this
  15. sorry haven't been around much guys, have had life going on. however now i have been injured working on my basement, and am having some relax time with computer on my lap. so been wanting a bigger tv for some time in my living room. nothing wrong with 50" Kuro at all just wanting bigger. want the Kuro to go in the guest room since its a good tv and has a great sound to it without having to have external speakers. wish all tv's came with this capable of a sound bar. So i watch a ton of videos on samsung vs sony, and I'm pretty set on the sony of the two. Both seem to be about the most popular. if money was no object id get the 65" oled. i could prolly swing the 55" but 1800 seems a bit to gain 5". was looking at the sony 750 and 850 models. 750d is 998$ on amazon for 65" 850d is 898 for 55" or 1398 for 65" id rather buy on amazon to not pay tax plus they have enhanced delivery where it seems as if someone will deliver inside my home and plug in to test before leaving. seems as if this would be about the safest to not get a cracked panel in the mail or something. i am gonna sign un for the store card which will get me 5% off plus 40$ for signing up. so i could get the 850d 65" for roughly 1290$ opinions please?
  16. technical you are correct. however for a the OP's first post i say he has done a fine job on reading up. because it is easier to damage a speaker by under powering than overpowering. good job OP, the more clean power the better. are you opposed to refurbished units? do you need 4k pass through? atmos ever in your future? welcome to the klipsch community
  17. im wanting to get a new tv for the living room. so many choices. part of me says I'm not a video while just get a big ol 70" vizio and be done with it. other part of me says this kuro ruined me and everything isn't gonna be up to par without going OLED. and i aint dropping that kind of coin.
  18. Yes you would want them vertical. I've seen some do them below but you have short ceiling and would put them crazy low. Plus having them behind screen or at least the center really anchors the sound where it's supposed to be. I have friends that used to run center behind and stereo speakers out in front and they all converted to all three behind the screen. It's just better in my opinion. As as far as lower quality some people say that. I'm not a huge videophile so spending 5,000 on a screen isn't an option. I spent about 550$ on my screen. It is a 138" 2.35. Would you be doing a 16x9 or 2.35? Your ceilings are low so I think 2.35 would be more immersive. Not sure how wide your room is either.
  19. Do an AT screen and grab three 61ii's or 81ii's. Better for theater use than the 160's. Vertical pattern will control reflections better. Better highs for theater IN MY OPINION. The 160's are more laid back which I like with some kinds of music.
