Thats too bad Dtel, its bad @ss and sounds amazing. as i said in my other thread, its larger in my room.

I should open up the back and have a look, because in the top half as i said the driver, but i dont see a passive in there at all, just a bunch of vent holes in the bottom half, where a driver would go. For me, accoustically, i think the match is better for both music and movies being a horn. i dont think i could have found a better match for my Jubilee's. i turned it up a little. Its just as punchy as the 684. Its so clean at high volumes. My house didnt like it. neither did the neighbours. At no point were there any signs of reaching a limit, it just keeps on giving... So Sunday, after its been in the house a couple days, the wife says to me...Her: "your done right?", Me: "With what?", Her: "Speakers", Me: "Not sure yet", Her: "Well your going to have to get rid of some if your getting more, there's no room for our couch anymore" I will give her that, i'd have to "Displace" something in order to upgrade, but im not done yet. My dream system is just starting to come togethor. Another upgrade next year(or this one), who is she trying to kid... I can be sure of one thing, i wont be getting a bigger sub(but i'd like to get one more). i couldnt get anything larger in the door. I pulled my Tron Movie, i think thats a must see now....

The 18 inch driver is on the top, and faces forward. wraps around to the back, and wraps again, and comes out the front. I should take the back off the sub to see whats going on in there with the Vent/passive. Not sure about the Vent/passive yet...

agree on that. as an example, on my KPT435N, i had a behind the screen xover, i bought xovers from the KPT4350-MS and installed them. sounds great now.

It sounds great, other than being a Horn, and having a different type of sound than my Direct Radiating KPT-684, You dont really notice a difference in tones for music. My KPT684 went low enough for all the music i like to listen to. Having said that, I downloaded some garbage(and it is garbage) that my kids listen to, and i can notice a difference right away in how deep it will dig, especially with the synthesized bass coming from the cabinet. I watached a movie last night as well. I did notice a difference there as well in how deep it goes. The efficiency of the Horn is amazing compared to the direct radiating. Even at low low volume i can feel the bass in the floors. The 18 inch driver is in the top half of the cabinet, the vent is in the bottom half. Check out these pics. Never seen anything like it before.

yes, that cost me a few extra $, but it made sense.

access to the woofers is from the back of the cabinet. the speaker faces forward. inside the cabinet.

I also got tired of using a heresy as a centre channel, I decided to pick up a pair of really beat up la scala's for $400. I sent them out to a guy for refinishing, I should post picks, they look good now.

Oh yeah, one more thing...Wife's not home yet. not sure how thats gonna go yet. but its to late for that. There could be worse addictions...

Try these out for a start.

Its finally arrived, and in the house. 31 inches going into a 32 inch door frame. i had to take the door off the hinges to get it in. I also had to unhinge the screen door as well. Has one small blemish on the bottom from shipping that is easily fixed, but otherwise, its prefectly HUGE. Its bigger in my room that i thought. Honestly it makes my KPT684 look small. First impressions are the sound difference. Its definately a horn. Cant wait to watch some movies, or maybe even listen to a couple fo songs my kids listen too... You'll understand if i tell you that i have go now... pictures soon.

IS there someone close that can pick these up and hold onto them for me? i live on the other side of the lake and would drive over to get them.

Mine is my room size, with all these big speakers, I need more space... that's it, im selling it all for some cube speakers...you know the ones im talking a out...

It will arrive over the weekend, but i am away early next week and cant get it delivered before then.

Not at this point no.
