  1. If Denon and all the other Trademark holders got together SimAudio would need a ton of lawyers.... Of course they might have a ton of money, judging from their markups.
  2. I like how their website says "Proudly designed and manufactured in Canada since 1980"...
  3. Has anyone seen this article? I can't believe that a Company would do this and think that what they were doing was ok... Legally or morally. http://www.audioholics.com/av-preamp-processor-reviews/simaudio-moon-cp-8-processor
  4. Thanks for the info... Hopefully next year I will have some more money to buy more of them as I would like to get 2-3 more pairs of them.
  5. What does this do? Does it add to a posters reputation for a good post or something?
  6. Does wood normally have a different characteristic sound compared to aluminum?
  7. But it has the LaScala logo too.... Not to mention the crossovers look way different then I have seen before. It appears they have been heavily modified but stuck with the old style caps. The transformer is huge!
  8. Those really look nice. How does it change the sound of a normal horn like in the LaScalas... Are they warmer sounding, smoother etc.?
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-La-Scala-/251373400544?pt=DE_Lautsprecher_Martin&hash=item3a8705b1e0
  10. Not mine but they look nice.... I wonder how they sound. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crossover-Frequenzweiche-fur-Klipsch-Eckhorn-La-Scala-/221313521917?pt=DE_TV_Video_Audio_Einzelteile&hash=item33875058fd
  11. So are the Industrials better than the pro speakers... Or is it just a matter of taste?
  12. Only one side is on the wall and still sounds good. But with 2-RWS-15's and 2-JBL ES150P's I have enough bass for now. (-: http://s981.photobucket.com/user/wrench722/library/H%20Horn I love the way the Khorns look in your gallery... Man those crossovers take up all the extra room you have too. I bet a lot of hard work went into making them too. Nice work!!
  13. I like the idea of a double bass center... I have the room but i think I will just stick to a LaScala in the center.
  14. I ordered the new gaskets for the mid horns... I will install them when they arrive and enjoy the speakers for a while. I am going to replace the caps on my LaScalas today.
  15. I am happy with the bass on mine... But if you want more then a sub is the way to go IMO.
  16. Why not get a sub to go deeper on the bass?
  17. I had a small tankless in our MB in our first home and I had hot water in a matter of seconds! Before we installed it it would take several minutes to get hot water to the MB as it was the last leg in the house. I have never heard of it taking longer to get hot water with a tankless vs a standard water heater. In our 2nd house we had a recirculating hot water setup installed and it was always hot when you wanted hot water.
  18. Here is a pic of the crossovers... The caps are little black rectangles. Are they oil and paper ones like my LaScalas but in a different case? I can't make out any markings on them at all. The woofer was made in 1982, so does that make them Heresy IIs? tia, Ron
  19. So would these be the same as Heresy IIs? I am assuming by looking at them that the caps are not the oil and paper... Is that correct? If so do they last longer than the oil and paper? Would they need to be replaced ASAP? They are currently being used for my surrounds. tia, Ron
  20. Have them? WOW!! That has to be the best deal possible and they appear to be in mint condition to boot! I thought I got a good deal when I got a ratty looking pair for $500. CONGRATULATIONS!! If you have the room I would be patient and keep an eye out for a single LaScala... I think you will like it better than the Heresy for the center. Heresy would be great IMO for heights, and surrounds.
  21. I bet you the grills are a lot more than $25 now.
  22. WOW... A lot of good info on the old prinouts. Thanks for posting them.
  23. How do I know what year mine are made in? I was going to update the crossovers but since these appear to be newer than my 1978 LaScalas I am not sure if it is needed quite yet. Could I just wait till I go with some nice new crossovers for the LaScalas and then do these? The caps are little black rectangles. The tweeters are k77m, mids k55m, woofers are k42e. The crossovers are type HIE. tia, Ron
  24. With the LaScalas and the HIPs... Audyssey is knocking them all down by 6-9db. At least now it isn't boosting any of the speakers. For my current setup I have the speakers (front and rear) in the corners toed in. Hopefully my new sub will be here next week along with a mic, and I will then check the levels of each speaker and run Audyssey again as a 5.1 setup.
