  1. I suspect the issue is related to your wire terminations and not the wire themselves.
  2. I may be biased, but I think the RF-7II looks like a higher end speaker. The only thing I like better on the III is the lack of holes for grill prongs. I assume that it's held on with magnets.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/09/politics/us-cuba-acoustic-attack-embassy/index.html what frequency you figure they used?
  4. Like others have said, you need a plan otherwise you'll end up spending a fortune swapping out gear in search of a cohesive system. I'd suggest that you decide on a particular line of speakers and wait for the right ones to come along. Start with your mains, then add the center, and then the surrounds.
  5. I also invested in some of those furniture sliders so I wasn't killing my back every time I had to pull out my tv console. Worth every penny.
  6. Just when I was ready to give up I decided to try swapping out the RCA cables and bingo!, the buzz volume dropped substantially. I'm now a happy camper . I was using Mediabridge cables and I swapped them for some old Auvio cables from RadioShack.
  7. I think I'm going to test it in my family room system to rule out any interference from other components or wiring in my HT. As it stands, the buzzing overcomes any other sound quality improvement.
  8. That's a bummer, my receiver doesn't have balanced outputs.
  9. This is a buzz coming through the tweeters.
  10. Well I spent an hour crouched behind my tv console rewiring everything and have been rewarded with buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz through all channels powered by the B&K. It's quite loud. Pretty sure I have a grounding issue, but no idea how to resolve it. I've already unplugged my cable coaxial to no effect. The buzz is worse when the amp for my DIY sub is turned on. Let me know what you guys suggest.
  11. Well if the RS-62s aren't in cherry then id only offer him $600.
  12. Just received this B&K AV125.5 power amplifier to try out in my HT. It'll be a few days before I can get it hooked up, but I can hardly wait. The power supply is way beyond anything I've ever seen in a receiver.
  13. I've got some extra 12 gauge Monoprice floating around. Pure copper .
  14. I've always liked the looks of the Marantz TT-15S1, but i dont know squat about turntables. I think its made by clearaudio.
  15. Ditto. I just picked up my Denon 6300 from these guys. It looks and operates as if it were brand spankin new.
  16. I don't think you have to worry about that receiver hitting 200 watts. That's probably 1 channel short term burst at 4 ohms.
  17. Looks like you've made the best of a tough layout. Those big open family rooms make placement of surround speakers difficult. I'd worry that your side surrounds are too close to the listener and may sound a bit hot. The further you could pull them away from the listener the better.
  18. How well does a pro amp work for your mains? I've no doubt that it provides the power, but i'd wonder how it compares to more home theater/audiophile oriented amps in other parameters.
  19. What about something like a Denon X-4300 with an outboard. You'll save about $500 on the receiver which you can dump into an outboard amp.
  20. I really liked my SC-1323 when i was running it in a 7.2 setup in my HT. My new Denon definitely has a warmer/darker signature which some people prefer. I think @derrickdj1is running a SC-99 in his Atmos setup if you're looking for hands on experience.
  21. Lol, sounds like a scam to me. New member No pictures Give away prices
  22. That is a badass amp, but I just scored a B&K AV125.5 that I'll hopefully be testing out next weekend. Hopefully it does the trick.
