  1. I'm using commercial KPT-100 speakers that I hung on the wall in my media room with Forte IIs and they do a great job. I'm using Reference series in my living with original Fortes and plan to upgrade the front tweets to Crites to be a better timber match. Honestly, I'm the only one in the family that can notice a difference in timber between the Reference and Fortes.
  2. Up for sale is a Black Academy in very good condition. The unit has no dents, dings or scratches. Although, I believe the paint my have been freshened up prior to me purchasing it. I've owned this speaker for a few months and I purchased it locally with a pair of Fortes. The unit works really well. I'm only selling because I found another in walnut to match my Fortes. Shoot me your city and zip and I can get you a shipping quote.
  3. I owned one of those receivers for awhile and it was a powerhouse. I'm not sure I ever utilized it too its full potential. I would get the dial about a third of the way up and that was all I and any speaker I owned wanted!
  4. I just picked this up today from its original owner. This thing looks and sounds to be in mint condition. A little dusty, but in great shape. Here are the specs: Specifications Tuning range: FM, MW Power output: 75 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Total harmonic distortion: 0.03% Damping factor: 50 Signal to noise ratio: 76dB (MC), 76dB (MM), 86dB (line) Speaker load impedance: 2Ω to 8Ω Dimensions: 420 x 108 x 380mm Weight: 10.6kg
  5. Up for sale is a really nice pair of RS-3'a. The vinyl, the drivers and everything else is in excellent condition. The only thing to mention is that the previous owner had mounts attached to the binding post plate as you can see in the pictures, i've left the screws in place.
  6. I have an RC-52 center channel for sale. The unit is in good overall condition and works fine. No dents or dings. There may be a few scuffs or minor scratches from storing, but nothing through the vinyl. No holes or nicks in grill cloth.
  7. Up for sale is a Martin Logan Electromotion C2 center channel in excellent condition. I've been using this center for 2-3 years and have loved it. It's just time to move on to something different. The C2 uses the larger version of the folded motion tweeter. I had previously used the Motion 30, but replaced it with the C2 which seems to be more sensitive. The unit is in excellent condition with no issues. Priced at $799.95 each, the powerful EM-C2 center channel provides a detailed, articulate, and authoritative center channel audio presence. Sized similar to a traditional audio/video receiver the EM-C2 is designed to fit discreetly within any standard audio-video cabinet. The EM-C2's perfectly balanced dual 5.25-inch high-excursion, doped fiber-cone woofers are seamlessly blended with the Folded Motion XT tweeter with a high-precision, advanced topology audiophile-grade crossover network. The EM-C2 is rated at 94dB.
  8. Did you ever do anything with these speakers? Or, maybe interested in selling a pair?
  9. It's astonishing how so many of the prominent lead singers have passed from this era. Out of my 4 favorite bands from the early 90's, only one is still alive...no pun intended. Eddie Vedder. It started with Kurt, then came Layne and Scott last year. Now, Chris. There were a few other guys back in the day that were unable to survive their wild youth. It really surprises me about Chris. Even though he battled some drug issues, he seemed like the most level-headed of the group. I guess I won't get to see these guys in reunion tours 20 years from now like my parents have been able to enjoy so many acts from the 60's and 70's.
  10. Funny thing is I picked up a pair of Fortes that I was going to resell. I almost listed them in the Garage Sale, but once I hooked them up in place of the Martin Logan's I decided to keep them. I just prefer the more upfront midrange and dynamics of the Klipsch. The Martin Logan's sound very, very good and better in most aspects, but I just prefer the larger sound that the Fortes create. The ML's create a quieter, smoother, more airy and detailed sound, but I guess I prefer the dynamics and more pronounced midrange of the Fortes. I replaced really nice and much more expensive speakers in my media room 3 or 4 years ago with Forte II's and haven't regretted one bit.
  11. Only in a Klipsch Forum would people pass up such a good deal on a pair of Martin Logan speakers! LOL!
  12. Let me know if anyone has an extra RS-3 II lying around. I may have a need for one.
  13. i guess I forgot that minor detail Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. Up for sale our a pair of Martin Logan Motion 12 speakers that I've used for the past 3 1/2 years. They've been well-cared for and sound absolutely amazing. They are in excellent condition with the only blemish being two small holes in one of the grill cloths. They are used and may have scuff or small imperfection or may even be a little dusty. No major scratches, dings or dents. Not sure about the cost of shipping, but likely around $100-$150. These feature the unique folded motion tweeter, a 5.25" mid and 2 6.5" midbasses. If you want to look at the specs: https://www.martinlogan.com/motionSeries/models/motion-10-12.php I will be selling my Martin Logan f/x surrounds and the Electromotion C2 center. Let me know if you are interested in those too.
  15. I have $2,579 cashier's check sitting in a drawer right now for a $225 M&K subwoofer. Yes, I've had a couple of these offers on CL. I'm not dummy! I'm a banker and see and hear about these scams all the time.
  16. You should be able to contact Klipsch Parts for a grill.
