  1. Classic Rock Pink Floyd/David Gilmour/Roger Waters/Richard Wright Solo Led Zeppelin The Who Dire Straits The Eagles
  2. I got my copy of the SACD early----it sounds great--
  3. Hello I have the RF-3 II's as well, and I'm a huge Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fan. I get the same effects. I have Adcom Seperates powering the RF-3 II's (100 x 2), and the guitar solo on "What God Wants Part 3" is just ridicoulously amazing. What a great album......if you can understand it.........if you own "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall", you definitely need "Amused To Death" to complete the story....... I can't say enough about this CD......its just so great......
  4. Hello I just went from a Yamaha HTR-5460 to Adcom Seperates (150 x 2 at 4 ohm, 100 x 2 at 8 ohm) and I literally almost crapped my pants once I turned these up. Live Pink Floyd Concerts have never been so crazy loud in my house before. The RF-3 II's do a nice job maintaining their composure. I would love to hear the RF Series with a smooth SS Amp or a Tube Amp. For under $850, I think it is difficult to beat the RF-3 II Speaker. Just wanted to share, thanks! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly

I am hoping what you say is true indeed. I have been getting other positive feedback on the upgrade as well! Thank you, and anyone else please feel free to make additional comments! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  7. Hello and good day! I bought some seperates to replace my Best Buy Yamaha HTR-5460 Receiver. I bought the Adcom GFP-565 Preamplifier and the Adcom GFA-545, which is rated at 100 watts. My Yamaha is also "rated" at 100 watts. I have the RF-3 II Towers I use for 2 channel stereo. How big of a difference do you think this upgrade will make? I am really excited to hear the difference. Tell me what you think! Pink Floyd Rules! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  8. Pink Floyd's: Dark Side of the Moon, 1973 Wish You Were Here, 1975 The Wall, 1979 The Division Bell, 1993 You guessed it, I am unhealthily obsessed with Pink Floyd...... David Gilmour = Breath-taking ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly

  10. Hello I have Klipsch RF-3 II and KSW-12 Speakers. I have a 200 watt x 2 at 8 ohm amplifier for the RF-3 II's. I need a cheap, but decent pre-amplifier to go with it. I'm upgrading from a Yamaha HTR-5460 Home Threatre Receiver from Best Buy. Please give me suggestions and where to find them online! Thanks a million! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  11. Good Day Klipsch Fanatics, I have the RF-3 II Speakers ran off a Yamaha HTR-5460, which is a home threatre receiver, not home stereo receiver like the RXV Line is. How much clean power can one really put into these bad boys? I have an amplifier that is capable of producing 200 watts into an 8 ohm load. They are rated for 150 Watts Continuous, however, can they handle more than this? I listen to Classic rock music like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, and Dire Straits. Thanks for any input! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  12. R.I.P. PWK My RF-3 II's will be on in memory of PWK.... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly

I love the RF-3 II's, just amazing speakers IMO........ ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  14. Has anyone heard this speakers? I am currently running RF-3's which I absolutely love. I think I might pick up a pair of these for some quiet listening speakers, just to have them! So, has anyone heard these speakers? Also, how much did you pay for them? Thanks! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  15. The one and only...... Mr. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd "I turned to look but it was gone......." ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly

Ended up being a very good sounding concert. Man! I am extremely jealous......I have been a "Floyd Fanatic" for only about two years now.......and I want to see Roger Waters or David Gilmour Live...... Pink Floyd rocks!! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  17. When I auditioned the RF-3 and RF-5, I couldn't tell that big of a difference. Granted I'm a HOME AUDIO newbie (but not car audio), I picked the RF-3's.....I am extremely impressed with them. Huge bass output, and crystal clear mid's and high's...... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  18. Anyone who wants to listen to my "beginner system" is more than welcome!! I would love to have some people over to hear it! Yamaha HTR 5460 ----110 x 5 RMS Klipsch RF-3 II Main Speakers Klipsch KSW-12 Subwoofer And more Klipsch to come...... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  19. Hello! I went to my local authorized dealer and picked up a Klipsch KSW-12 Subwoofer for $299. Hook up was a breeze. I didn't use monster cable, just cheap MCM cable to my receiever. I have a Yamaha HTR-5460 Receiver and Klipsch RF-3 II Front speakers. My initial impressions is how accurate and tight this sub system sounds. For instance, on Pink Floyd's "Hey You", the kick drum is very tight, very fast, loud and low. It also handled "The Chemical Brothers" cd quite well. On Track 2, there is a 5 second sweep, and the KSW-12 was shaking up everything. It gets loud enough for my needs; and I listen to music loudly. I can't imagine what the RSW-12 or RSW-15 could do! Oh by the way, I have a quick question. Should I upgrade to Monster Cable instead of using a cheap MCM cable from my receiver to my sub? Will it make a big difference? Thanks a lot! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  20. I appreciate your opinions guys! Well, brand new for $299 it looks like a steal in my opinion! 400 watt amp and a 12 inch driver, backed up with a nice warranty......I'm just looking for some low end re-inforcement..... Please guys, I need more opinions on this sub system! Thanks... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  21. XMag is not really that big of an issue when dealing with ported cabinets......it takes gobs of power to move a 12 or 15 8mm at tuning if i'm not mistaken...... Sealed cabinets are a whole different story..... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  22. Hello Klipsch Fanatics, I hope you guys all have had a great Christmas. I am picking up my Klipsch KSW-12 powered subwoofer on Saturday, December 29. I am getting it for $299 at my local dealer!!!!! Best price they have ever had on it! I was wondering.....what do you guys think of it? I have RF-3 II Towers to go with it; and I'm extrememly happy with the RF-3 II's, but I need some more low end. Just for reference, I thought my buddys Polk 8 inch 70 watt powered was loud.......so how will the Klipsch compare? I'm not an extreme audiophile, but I do like low, loud bass. Tell me what you think about this sub system please!! Take Care and thanks in advnance! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  23. I have the RF-3 II Towers powered by a Yamaha HTR-5460 which puts 110 watts RMS into them. Dear Lord have mercy do they sound wonderful!!! I can't imagine what the RF-5 or even the RF-7s sound like hooked up to a big amplifier......... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  24. Hi Justin, Thanks for the response! I have Klipsch RF-3 Main speakers, and I just want to put two of those satellites from my 4.1 in the back for rear speakers. Do you or does anyone know if the 4.1 Satellites have passive crossovers built into the small cabinet? Or are they located in the subwoofer/amplifier cabinet? If they are in the subwoofer/amplifier cabinet, then I'm screwed. If they are in the speaker cabinet, then I should be OK........ Thanks in advance for any help...... ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
  25. Whats up guys! I have a question. I have the Klipsch 4.1 Computer speakers, the older models. What I was wondering is this: Do the Klipsch Satellite speakers have built in passive crossovers? What I want to do is take two of the satellite speakers and use them as my rears......I'm not a home theatre fanatic like you all , however, I don't want to damage the satellites. I have a Yamaha HTR-5460 which delivers 100 watts RMS per channel. Is it okay to hook the Klipsch satellites to my receiver? I know I'll have to keep it down, the RMS rating of these are 60 I think. I really need your help, thanks guys! ------------------ Ice is forming on the tips of my wings.....-Pink Floyd, Learning To Fly
