  1. When I have built I find that you want really precise fit up you measure the lot of plywood you have bought for size and adjust accordingly. That 12 or 15mm wood has a tolerance of + or - that can effect fit up if you do not check first then cut.
  2. Let me give you a not normal tip. If you don't muss the dust it accumulates evenly and looks like it is supposed to be there. Tip number two, if you just can't keep from disturbing the dust duratex them medium brown and you never have to dust them. Bass bin tops also make great storage shelves by the way.
  3. I was thinking today. According to some a thing that is not always worth while. But what if I got really descriptive? Anyway. There once was a tweeter named MAHL The name was not suited for all But the guy who does make them Is the one who does name them His first choice of course was then MAHL
  4. As often as you change things around I would sure test this idea out with the lowest price yet good quality common denominator. The Mini DSP HD gets good reviews everywhere and you can't beat the price. The Mini can follow you forward and be useful with any two way.
  5. I am an Aerosmith fan too. But like Grace Slick said when she stopped tours there is a time when you just need to leave with dignity and not try to keep your bygone youth. With all the money these people people have made if they have run through it too bad.
  6. Yes they are daily listeners but in my shop not my house. If I ever get something for inside the house it may well be Super Heresy's as we are jammed up with to much stuff as it is. Space is a magnet for all the junk you can find it seems.
  7. You do know reading the S-MWM thread can be a very slippery path don't you?
  8. Chris A's recommendation too unless you want to go much more expensive with Xilica's. I will be buying one soon to try based on what he has been saying.
  9. I don't know about the air leak problem but I think any driver that has to go through a straight walled tunnel to exit will never sound as good as one that doesn't all other factors being equal.
  10. Well my color is singular flesh tone and not hollywood multicolored rainbow like. I do still have my hair but it has changed color.
  11. Yes you can choose what to watch and find tons of old stuff from the days when TV and movies were decent and not whacko agenda driven George Orwellian inspired junk. It is the place for instructional videos for about every problem out there and nature specials. Plus you can simply tune out all the hollywood garbage and seek what you want. NO force feeding in the web like TV has become. I have found all the old cartoons we treasured as kids from the 20's to the 60's and music videos. Yeah the web is the place to be.
  12. There was one bit of Hollyweird junk worth watching earlier this year. A stellar performance and worth the time to watch. I was rolling on the floor with this one.
  13. We have not had TV here for maybe 10 years now and don't miss the utter trash on there at all. I read about Big Mikes grammy award on a news site and just busted out laughing. Birds of a feather flock together and I am not one of them.
  14. Say you guys know it is SMAHL and LMAHL so your life has just become more difficult and then add in the V2 I just don't know where you will end up.
  15. Were they singing about the same time big mike got her grammy?
  16. Today I am enjoying the piquant aroma and subtle flavanoids of a mixture of Pikes Peak and S&D Hazelnut fresh ground beans. The aroma fills the house as it brews.
  17. Having a conversation with Rockhound about what I am bringing and I want to broach this idea here. I am hesitant to bring a bunch of stuff for sale or trade because most of the people showing up I figure already have more than they need and might be looking to sell too. Perhaps it might be beneficial to have a list of things people can bring to see if there is any interest in them rather than hauling and hoping.
  18. This is the problem with large sections of wood. Small ones are far less likely to crack over time. Even kiln dried lumber can crack when you start having pieces 4" thick unless you layer it and glue boards together to get there. Once you do the consistent grain pattern is gone.
  19. I will consult my marketing director and see if he can be swayed. Model "T". Hmmm, Model Terrific? Model Transport? Model Twidledee? What could Ford have been thinking anyway?
  20. And mark them up and sell them back to her!
  21. Well look I could have ten different names or just stick with one that is well known and let others be word cops. It just does not pay to keep switching things around.
  22. All kinds of wood have tight grain but you have to go up north for most of it. Now here locally there is very dense wood with small pores and the tightness of grain is not so important with these types. Not commonly available like Red Oak and Walnut though.
  23. When you find out let me know but so many here do this I went along with it and will not be changing the name to MAL. It's like motorboard. I go to the klipsch forum and this is what I read that it is called and everyone here knows what it means. You go elsewhere and the grammar cops regale you with correct versions.
