  1. I don't know about that. I think that once you get to a certain price point, people began to understand that discrete components offer the best audio nirvana. And then the fun part? Getting to put all that together.
  2. Kerry Geist deserves the credit for pushing the idea of reintroducing the forte. I didn't think he could do it but he got it thru. By the way, all the 70th stuff and limited editions and anything related to real heritage is Kerry's idea.
  3. We will have a pair to listen to at the pilgrimage. My pair.....
  4. Bone...how about a crankbait. Don't know how many people know this but the forte ii was the second consumer speaker I designed when I came to klipsch. The quartet was the first. It has been kinda of weird to look at what I did and then say.....hmmmm we could do this and this. I am really pumped to be able to this.
  5. The only I know anything about is the forte.
  6. Ummm mark was not properly down loaded. Or maybe he was loaded.....
  7. sorry. not my deal. dont know anything about those.
  8. Yep. You are sorry. Pwk must have had you on speed dial....
  9. Bought horns only from gentec. Hmmmm. Interesting.....
  10. What???? Chris you are totally wrong on this.
  11. Every reputable manufacture states the conditions of power, sensitivity (which by the way is not efficiency), max spl, coverage, etc. we follow AES STANDARDS as paul and several of us are members and they closely match the real world. There are conditions that have to be met and spell out how the tests is. So the specs are there. Read the fine print.
  12. You are not rude. Just wrong. 96 dB under what conditions? Full space? Half space? Closet space? AES? Pink noise? Playing a Madonna tune? Marketing or not, to infer that we are lying gets both barrels from me. Paul was around for most of the definitions of words and techniques. And he taught us well. So before you get on your high horse, make sure he has shoes.
  13. mr bob has no affiliation with klipsch. and klipsch does not support or condone what mr bob does.
  14. your impression was wrong.....like i said before....i dont have to tell you what testing or lack of i did.
  15. i think informed opinion or informed decisions went out the window with this "experiment".......
  16. really? on what horn? at what voltage level? at what spl level? and rumors dont make facts.
  17. i dont think solidarity matters much....logical informed decisions do.
  18. crossvers tie the whole acoustic system together. you cannot just change drivers without changing the network to get the same response....unless that just doesnt matter.
