  1. They don't seem to have a contact email on their site. Like I said; I don't want to call and bother them during the work day.
  2. Doc, are you using the HF200 in a 2, or 3 way configuration? I guess 4 or 5 is possible too, but you know what I mean. It's a 3 way, and like I said sounds fanfreakintastic! Cool. I'd like to bolt one to a Yuichi horn and give it a listen.
  3. I'd rather not call his place of business and bother them. Does anyone have an email address Dana wouldn't mind being given out via PM or whatever? I'd like to talk to him about Jamboree plans. Rick
  4. Oh my, Jupiter flat caps! Thats awesome!
  5. That is a heck of a deal for sure! But, this is intended to just be a DIY project for fun. I was just wondering if anyone had had a chance to hear them.
  6. Yes, their tuners in those days were very good. This was sort of a problem because they insisted on sticking the same one in most products regardless of price point. It really hurt the profitability of a lot of their receivers. That and styling issues and poor marketing led to the companies demise in 1973. Damn shame, they made great gear.
  7. Apparently its about how to name things in a stupid manner. I mean, c'mon.....

And now here's the rest of the story. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-10-15/second-ebola-infected-nurse-identified-was-symptomatic-995-degree-fever-while-flying "But what is worse, is that as the WaPo reports the nurse had a fever of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit before boarding a passenger jet on Monday, a day before she reported symptoms of the virus and was tested, according to public health officials." I try to not believe what is in the news as it usually is not accurate. If she had a fever or felt sick at all after caring for someone who had ebola, she should have self imposed a quarintine on herself until she felt better. A healtcare worker should know this. https://twitter.com/CBSDFW/status/522518184461873152 http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ebola-nurse-called-cdc-several-times/ So, this Gal should know more than the CDC?
  9. I'm also finding that they are largely ignored. Not sure why, they sound nice and can be had cheap.

The CDC and the Administration won't have it. They obviously have other priorities.

Because she didn't have any symptoms. As a precaution her and several of her coworkers have been monitoring their temps multiple times a day. Pointing a finger at this woman considering what she does every day for a living is beyond bizarre. What would you of had her do, live in an isolation bubble when not on the hospital floor caring for people? How about her coworkers, what would you do about them???
  12. Arash, nice! So, what does your bass bin consist of?
  13. Um, that should read Stereomaster, sorry. Also, this is a SS unit, from 1967. One of Scott's first SS units.
  14. Finally decided to hook the old war horse up and see what she sounds like. Dang, have only listened for about 2 hours, but hey, she sounds quite nice. Much better than I would have guessed, especially considering I was worried it might blow up when I turned it on. Anyway, its over here in the corner amongst the boneyard with a cheap DVD player going through it playing on the little Klipsch SB-1 book shelf speaks. I hate to say it, but this sounds sweeter and more musical than the big Sansui and Marantz receivers I've picked up recently. Not near as much power, but really nice on the ears. Thus far I've played some Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
  15. How do you figure??? Apparently...I figured wrong! You mean how did I figure Baylor won with Defense? At the end of the game, a SINGLE more 1st down by TCU would have won the game for them (or at least not lost it for them). TCU went for 4th and 4 with two minutes left, but the Baylor D held on, and the Baylor offense went on to get the game winning field goal. In our Final Four poll, I picked FSU and Baylor to be in the final four, so despite my ignorance on today's Baylor outcome, I am so far still right! I don't think you're following along, but whatever.
  16. How do you figure??? OU should have blown Texas out by 28 points, but screwed up enough to let them hang around. But of course in the end OU held them off as everyone on the planet knew they would.
  17. Yeah, so much for OK running up the score. I thought Texas looked like the better team much of the game. +++ My Mountaineers scored the last 17 points in the last 5:55 to upend Texas Tech with a 55 yard FG as time ran out. I haven't looked at the stats but I bet TT had at least 4 plays of over 40 yards and two plays over 60. I know they had an up-the-middle TD run for about 76 yards. Yes, I was screaming at my TV. +++ What the heck, TCU? They look MUCH better than Baylor, early 3rd period. Um, really????
  18. Do any of you guys have any experience with this (or similar) horn? I've downloaded Yuichi's plan and milled some walnut in anticipation of building a pair of these. Fairly straight forward build (tho a bit tedious I'm guessing) but I really have no idea how good they sound. Obviously they look better than most mid-horns, but......... So, what do you guys think of these? http://www.geocities.jp/arai401204/Download_Page/Download.html
  19. First of all, congratulations. Oldtimer … lay off the Brits (i actually wouldn’t be upset if i was one). Pretty cool things come out of England…Queen, Pink Floyd, Yes, some very attractive women too; and there are even Raider fans there. I was told that two weeks ago, you couldn’t find things pertaining to the Miami Dolphins; but, there was Oakland Raiders stuff all over. So we’re obviously talking about a pretty smart country. The Raiders............................................LOL!
  20. Doesn't the 200 have a larger voice coil, 75mm vs 65mm?
