  1. KPT-310 HF on the 902's that you posted can be ordered separately yes. part number 1015154
  2. as for the $400 jump, they are bigger, there is now a port, they have a much nicer grill, they sound better... something should be expected.
  3. Technically they only went up about 15% with the new models. The Heresy 3's have been $2,600 since probably May. May have went up to 2400 then 2600, can't remember. Klipsch just dropped MAP pricing on H3's so you will probably see some for cheaper but yeah as of just a few days ago the Heresy 3's officially were $2,600 USD.
  4. I'd avoid the wireless ones if possible, I have yet to meet a happy buyer of those, plus you still need a power cord. If possible I'd try to keep it symmetrical but I'm not sure if it is. If you can put the TV on the long wall so everything is symmetrical and you have walls to mount things to, most people would get the RP-502S next. You can also use bookshelves on a stand or towers if you can't hang anything on the walls or run wires through the walls. I'm assuming you can't cut holes in the ceiling for in-ceiling surrounds or Atmos and if so, if the room isn't symmetrical and one side is missing a wall, you'd have to use towers or a bookshelf on a stand anyway. Some people go with in-ceiling surrounds in this situation but you usually can't in an apartment.
  5. matching LCR's is actually superior in terms of audio but most TV guys don't want to do that.
  6. my personal opinion is that rp-502s and rp-402s is better for side surrounds since getting an ear full of horn from 4' away is a little uncomfortable plus it hugs the wall better and makes more sense ergonomically speaking. If you decide to get bookshelves anyway, if you want to hang them on the wall, the rp-500m is much easier since it has a keyhole mount. if you're going to use a shelf or stand and don't care about the footprint, weight, or the price, then yeah by all means, get the rp-600m.
  7. It's theoretically possible but it's a weird deal, it's harder and way more expensive than just ordering speakers with lambswool grills as a custom order. I don't think they like doing it.
  8. Other recent thing that irked me was the weekend skiers and boarders at Breckenridge. Weekdays aren't too bad. Come Saturday though, all the weekend warrior yuppies come out of the wood work. Problem is, they don't know how to act like there are other people on the mountain. They'll take a gated off family area that was meant for beginners and they'll attack it like they're on a double black diamond. They'll do S-curves down the entire run except they don't know how to do it all pretty-like so they'll take up the entire width of the trail. They don't really care if you're in the way either. You'll be cruising along on a very tame trail then all of a sudden a Kamikaze yuppie will come out of nowhere and snipe you from the side, then act like you're the one who is messing up their line and should move. We had a professional ski instructor all day for a private lesson and I watched her about get taken out multiple times even though she was in uniform, bright blue no less, it's not like they couldn't see a blonde in a bright blue official ski instructor uniform in the middle of a family trail. Somebody actually crashed into me pretty hard, knocked me on my rear, hit the back of my head on the ground pretty hard, all while trying to get on the chairlift, which was after the big barriers that had SLOW written all over them. I will be avoiding weekends in Colorado in the future.
  9. I was cool with property tax on the house but I just spent $2,300 in property tax on my stupid speakers and that number will probably at least triple next year. Probably looking at $7,500 just because I have speakers laying around. It's silliness. That's in addition to the house and other stuff. Could easily be 5 digits next year. That's in a rural low income and low cost of living low tax area too.
  10. H4 and Cary SLI-80 HS with matching side panels which are made by Klipsch.
  11. What really pissed me off in very recent history is that Enterprise allowed me to reserve a rental car, except it wasn't really reserved. When I called to see if I could pick it up an hour earlier than what I specified, I was told that they don't have any cars, and probably will not have any. What's the point of reserving a car if they can just say we're out when you show up? Ridiculous. Really messed up a trip of mine.
  12. Recording as much as Audacity will allow for, starting right when the kick drum and bass guitar starts, until Audacity maxes out. At the show, I didn't feel that there was anything that the H4's were lacking in when playing Little Wing. It was kind of ridiculous to be honest, very surprised.
  13. Audacity analysis of Little Wing. H4's just kill it. This is one of the verses with the most common bass line. H4's never wimped out when playing this. I loved it personally speaking.
  14. The cat is "Bitey McBitesAlot", he's my partner in crime. Basically any time I unbox anything he's all up in everything. He photobombed that one shot so I just included it for fun.
  15. Truth be told... I highly suspect he's a little sick of that track.
  16. All I know is that I heard these at an audio show and when they played Little Wing by Stevie Ray, the H4 by themselves with no help from a sub played every note on the bass guitar with authority, they never wimped out. The guitar was nice and thick and not screechy too. I turned around to give Roy a big evil grin but he beat me to it, he knew what was up. Just super cool.
  17. 1". This is an h4 prototype next to an h3.
  18. MSRP is like $3K or a few bucks under. These aren't going to be on universal pricing. Cornwall 4's were being debated but as of now they are not either.
