  1. Took a trip to my dealer today and took advantage of the discontinued Ref series, being a good long time customer, and them moving to a new store. Picked up a pair of RS7s for $500.
  2. What do you listen to more, 2 channel music or multi channel-movies and music? If it's 2 channel get the amp, if it's multi channel get the RS7s. I just got a set off of my dealer today for $500. And just for the record I'm in the Yamaha camp. But Denon also make quality products. And the RF7s do sound better with an external amp.
  3. I can see where it's more confusing than the other reference line.
  4. check all of your connections. if a speaker wire terminal is even a little loose on either end it will cause the symptoms you describe.
  5. when done right multi channel music is unbeatable, no matter if it's on SACD, DVDA, DVDV, or DTS CD.
  6. welcome to the Klipsch family and welcome home. sounds like you have a great start on your system. Denon makes great receivers. The 3802 is an excellent unit, I used to own one.
  7. Direct radiators are best for the rears in a 7.1 setup. I have RF3IIs. I would reccomend RF35s, RF5s, or RB75s.
  8. Maybe one of the Harmony remotes. They are programmable with codes from Harmony's website with a computer.
  9. And a phone number if you have it. And let us know if the price you posted is correct.
  10. Thanks. Do you happen to know the address?
  11. Great price. Yes they would be a good start. mind telling me what store is having the sale? I live in Louisville andhave a friend looking at RF15s.
  12. Charlies Angels Top Secret Army of Darkness
  13. I own RF7s and RF3-IIs. I prefer the 7s hands down. But they like quality amplification.
  14. remember boys and girls it's all subjective. just enjoy what you have and quit trying to convince others they can't really enjoy what they have because it's different/not as good as what you have.
  15. Circuit City currently has a sony 5 disc DVD/SACD/CD player for $134.99. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-DVD-Changer-DVP-NC80VB-/sem/rpsm/oid/123095/catOid/-12872/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do I highly reccomend this as you get upgraded video and audio with SACD capability.
  16. There is also the SACD version
  17. RC7 then a better sub then a good 5 channel amp and lastly another pair of RF7s for the rear.
  18. The guy is a great fiction writer. If not he should be sacked. I listen to music most of the day at work in an ipod. Upon leaving work I plug said ipod into the Alpine hu in my car for the ride home. Upon arriving at home I fire up the home system and listen all sorts of formats of music on the universal player.
  19. Have you guys heard the Joe Walsh interview on the latest offering from the Bob&Tom show, man that's funny.
  20. My deepest sympathies. She is in a better place now watching over you.
  21. The offerings from B&K, Sunfire, and Rotel are very popular with RF7 owners
  22. Yes the 7s are more than worth it. I have RF3-IIs which are basically the same as your RF35s. When I upgraded to RF7s I moved my 3s to the back and it sounds fantastic.
