It's so bright that when I bought a 42" projection DLP TV I had a very difficult time seeing the picture on the screen. The only way to view the TV was to put a black curtain up over the bay window. Well the wife would have nothing to do with that she calle it the "bat cave" so I brought it back and got a 36" tube tv. Now at least I can view the tv with out having the living room look like the "bat cave". ---------------- This could be the deal breaker. I have a huge front window in my room. Lets in a lot of light. And my wife is not gonna go for a rug over the window either.
  2. I don't have personal experience with it but it is supposed to be a very nice unit.

  4. Talked to my dealer on the phone. He said Samsung is getting ready to replace these and the price is coming down. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing one. Are these good TVs?
  5. At the young age of 34(35 in a few weeks) I can now say I've heard it all. A friend at work brought me a CD by Iron Horse called Fade to Bluegrass. It is an a full blown Bluegrass group covering Metallica tunes. I was speechless, still am. Anyone else ever heard this?
  6. The 4600 easily. If you want to compare the 4600 to a Denon wait a month or 2 until the 3806 streets.

But now I'm eyeing the TRD supercharger, must resist. miatas are the giant killers. At the auto crosses I've been to the well built Miatas eat everything. Shade KYBs are nice. enjoy.
  12. Thanks for all of the compliments. Yeah I'm not into the batman wings, stickers, and loud fartcan exhausts. Not real big on the fast ond furious cars or street racing either. Just wanted to make it look nice and be fun to drive. And I like nice cars. Be it my wagon, a carrera gt, a chevelle, a 65 caddy convertible, or a nice lifted 4x4. That's why I did it, and I'm still a kid at heart. Plus the wife said I could have some fun with it since I gave up the 4runner and jet skis for family life. You should see the looks I get from the kids who pull up revving thier engines looking to race. They get beside me and realize it's a 35 year old with his wife and kid on thier way to get ice cream lol. And yes with the seats folded down there is room for heresy speakers. The ground kit is factory Toyota. Nic, nice ride. I really didn't expect this many replies good or bad, WOW. Maybe just a couple of guys that are into cars.
  13. For all of you car lovers out there. Over the weekend a friend and I pulled the suspension out of my Toyota Matrix wagon and replaced it with a Tein coilover suspension. Already changed the sway bar previously. I figure there's no reason why I can't have a cool family car.
  14. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
  15. for your needs put all of your money into a better 2.1 setup instead of 4.1.

Larry ---------------- I have a measly set of RF-3IIs and I haven't outrun their ability to improve with better amplification either. I just got a B&K EX4420 200WPC amp and my $500 speakers sound even larger, more palpable and alive. I dream of the day when I can walk in to see a pair of RF-7s... but alas - that day is not going to be soon, since I can allow myself only small upgrades for now. ---------------- Me too. I slipped my new B&K ref 200.5 in with my RF3-IIS and they are worlds better.
  19. I believe B&K uses Home Theater Master remotes.

My Yamaha did a good job of powering my RF3-IIs which is basically the same as RF35s
