  2. I’ve seen your La Scala setup before, but never commented. That is so awesome!
  3. When you get your K-horns, make sure you are perfectly happy with them before selling the La Scala’s.
  4. Speakers are back up for sale. Met a really nice forum member this afternoon, but unfortunately the speakers are not going to work for him.
  5. That’s Janes Addiction’s drummer. Awesome!
  6. Sale is on hold until next Saturday 2/26. I have a forum member coming down Friday to check them out.
  7. The Evansville area. About 3 hours south of Indianapolis.
  8. Specs are on the net. They weigh around 250lbs. each. I drove 16 hours round trip to pick them up. Rented a Uhaul 5x8 enclosed trailer which made things a piece of cake. I’ve driven further for Klipsch speakers.🤪
  9. I was lucky enough to find a pair of MWM’s from a forum member. I just don’t have the room to keep both. I am still kicking myself for listing them. The bass bins sound really, really good. Closest to horn loaded bass I’ve heard. Bose!!🤢
  10. I bought these from a forum member 2 years ago and have enjoyed them very much since. They are in very good physical condition and excellent sonically. These have the older style K-402 with the newer K-691 drivers. The bass bins are KPT-415’s. I was initially going to run these active, but the custom crossover that came with them sounded very good, so I stayed passive for simplicity. I’m sure they will really shine if ran active. I have added custom high quality metal grilles to protect the drivers. You can run these speakers with a single power amplifier. I have driven these speakers with a 25wpc HK-430 and they sounded fantastic. I am currently using a 200wpc amp and they sound even better. I am firm on price if you want the included crossover. If they don’t sell, they will be used in a second system. I would really just like to have the extra space. That is the only reason they are for sale. This is a rare chance to own one of the best sounding Klipsch speakers ever produced. PM me if you are interested and I can provide more details and photos. Local pickup only. Southern Indiana area.
  11. Steel wool and foam around that. Shouldn’t be able the chew through. I used to rent an old farmhouse built in the late 1800’s. We would trap dozens of mice until I started using peppermint oil on cotton balls. Make sure it’s pure peppermint oil, soak the cotton balls and put them anywhere you see activity. It completely took care of the problem.
  12. You don’t hear of many people who go from a horn loaded low end to a direct radiator style and are completely happy with their decision. I know I wasn’t. If you really like the La Scala’s, you might not be either.
  13. How does the K1 compare to the K2? I see it’s less power. What about the sound?
  14. That is a an accurate observation. I always thought La Scala’s were just magical. but your explanation makes more sense.
  15. I love La Scala’s. Probably my favorite home Klipsch speaker. Not the lowest bass, but definitely the sweetest.
  16. You are in for a treat tomorrow my friend. Enjoy!
  17. Those look really nice. La Scala bass is some of the sweetest.
