  1. Whenever I need a good laugh—Archer always delivers. Had to go back & revisit Season 1. The story lines & cast characters are perfectly obnoxious. Good times in the Danger Zone.
  2. Congrats! A few years ago E3 started to flat line... but E3 is coming back strong. Should be a great time. Not off topic at all... games can really bring my system alive (just as much as any movie). Looking forward to Phantom Pain, Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Uncharted 4, Just Cause, & a few more. Cool demo of HoloLens today... which moves gaming from the TV.... via high definition 3D Hologram to anywhere in your home. https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-hololens/en-us Today's Live Demo of HoloLens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NdUv-yLae8
  3. NIce comparison thanks for the pics. Glad to learn the Rhyhmik performs well. Congrats on #2.
  4. I think Leon was also her best performance— effortless, natural, captivating & talent beyond her years. Her more recent stuff has kinda lost me, she really crashed & burned in Star Wars. I enjoy Aronofsky behind the camera, he always brings a distinct approach to each film. Obviously familiar with Black Swan, just never thought the ballerina subject matter would be of any interest . I know its much deeper & darker & steamy than that initial basic premise (thus Aronofsky's involvement) but always passed nonetheless. Amazon has the Blu-ray for only $6.99 so I just grabbed it tonight.
  5. Long time fan of Luc Besson & his many projects. This is my favorite film from him. It might be my favorite role for Jean Reno too. Excellent cast, great acting, cool story.
  6. Hard to believe its already been 11 years since THE INCREDIBLES hit the big screen. By far my favorite Pixar film & the AQ/PQ still delivers a great HT punch. Original Writer/Director Brad Bird has finally starting working on the long awaited sequel.
  7. Yeah, the first is my favorite. Raw, bold & straight forward. Almost an independent feel with great car chases, gun play & CQC (close quarters combat) that did not rely on CG. John Wick takes that same premise & amplifies it x1000 watts. Martial Arts & Gunplay....I believe they called their CQC.... gun-fu.
  8. Normally I enjoy & only watch the Extended versions for each, but wanted to try & binge watch all 3 over the weekend. Watching the Theatrical versions made that a bit easier & it didn't seem like I was missing any of the extended scenes.
  9. I enjoyed 1 & 2 for what they were, but passed on T3 once Liam Neeson started barking about America with his anti-gun comments. He even blamed America for the Paris Terrorist attack. Plus,I heard the latest movie was by far the worst of the 3. Makes for an easy pass on my part.
  10. ^^ I would agree. If money is not the issue grab the RF-7 II & RC-64 II. Lot's of god deals available on them, plus they are on sale right now direct from Klipsch. Just think of the $$$ you'll be saving by not buying a smaller interim set of speakers. Go straight to the RF-7 II & RC-64 II... your room size can handle them just fine.
  11. That awesome. I've been seeing some of those padded curtains online. Nice!! I might have to explore them further. It used to be those options were pretty pedestrian/industrial, great to see they have evolved into offering something much nicer. Looks great. I have one particularly large 144" x 60" window & its covered with heavy drapes which are lined with a blackout layer. Those can be puled open or closed like a traditional covering & they rest 4"- 5" away from the wall. In addition, I have a separate covering that rolls down when viewing movies & it sits flush with the wall/window. It rolls back up & is hidden during normal day-to-day use. Try watching the beginning of Transformers AoE or Godzilla without either of those coverings in place (not good). lol I even have a small etched/decorative window that's designed "not" to have any covering—but I put a basic terry cloth towel over it when watching movies. That actually works as a great temporary solution, especially when the subs dig deep.
  12. True, especially for a frame-up dedicated HT. But, if you're in a dedicated (existing) room it will have windows. I'm not going to hang Acoustic Panels over my windows. I'll take Drapes over glass anytime.... no wife needed, Uh yeah, I don't think panels over a window would turn out too good, even in a frat house. Hang enough panels in your room and it wont matter what you put over the windows, if anything. But of course, curtains wouldn't hurt, but they are not going do near what a few panels would. Pretty sure no one here said drapes would be better than acoustic panels. That benefit is not in question. The OP was asking if drapes/curtain will offer any benefit... & yes the will provide some noticeable difference (for Music or HT).

    Priceless

Gives a whole new meaning to a Photo Bomb. LOL - - - They used JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition), basically converting a dumb bomb, with a Guidance/GPS package. Dumb Bomb + Dumb Terrorist + Social Media =
  15. I have about 10 Drapes in my HT room. For my purposes they serve a dual role.... both absorption & blackout liner feature. Certainly not full-blown acoustic, sound reduction panels, but they are an effective & cost effective approach.
  16. NIce collection of vintage Honda's. Well done! Those are timeless classics. Back in the day, Mom & Dad rode & this was my 1st & been hooked ever since. I think I was 7 yeas old & I rode the heck out of it everyday. It would be cool to grab another one for retro memories. (not my pic, but the one that stared it all):
  17. LIfe happens. There are far more important things than speakers. Plenty of legitimate reasons why one could not be available or unable to respond at the moment. Yesterday? A whole 24 hours? (lol) Enjoy the deal if it comes your way.
  18. Yeah, I was kinda kind earlier. KA2 sucked. Jim Carrey was awful. Creator Mark Millar recently said he wants to pursue a Hit Girl spin-off. I hope it gets made & Chloe returns to the role. http://www.bustle.com/articles/75601-kick-***-turns-5-chlo-grace-moretz-should-have-gotten-a-hit-girl-spin-off-movie-like
  19. Saw it today , non stop mayhem ! Highly recommended I've only heard great things about the new one, so I can't wait for the release (hopefully Sept/Oct). I already have it on my Amazon Pre-order wish list.
  20. This one is a zany, chaotic, violent, dark, over the top, action-filled-comedy based on a graphic novel by (UK) creator Mark Millar. Director Matthew Vaughn (also director of Layer Cake, producer of Lock Stock and Two smoking Barrels, and Sn@tch) brought this independent effort to the screen & hits you over the head with its irreverent, unapologetic script. The UK influence is apparent throughout. I'm a big fan of Chloe Grace Moretz & she is outstanding in the role of Hit-Girl & (at the age of only 13) she steals the show. There's a wildly disparate juxtaposition of the character & the actor that makes her performance unexpected, to put it mildly (lol). Just a year later she elevated her game even more by bringing her talent to a completely opposite (dramatic) role in Scorsese's Hugo. The sequel (Kick-*** 2) fell a bit flat, & lost some of the energy of the first movie, but always enjoy the fresh, bold, story of the original.
  21. If it was me, instead of swapping out the RS- 62 II for the RS-7.... I'd go a different route & add the RS-62II to the RS-7 for 7.1 set up. You could physically position one pair higher up & play with the crossovers, levels & configuration for each pair to target a different sound stage. Swapping out the RF-7's would be subtle. Adding the RS-62 II to the rear surrounds would be anything but subtle. That approach would really fill in the rear surrounds & make for a noticeable difference.
  22. My (wide dispersion) RS-7's have been my primary choice for surround duty. For practical purposes, the WDST (wide dispersion sound technology) perform similar to (phased) bipole designs. The complete opposite of WDST would be my direct radiating RB-35's. At various times I've also used the RB-35's for rear surround duty. Both options are at ear level, with corner wall placement & fairly close to the MLP. And to be honest the difference between the two was very subtle. For HT, surround effects are secondary & not overly pronounced to begin with. And despite being 2 completely different approaches with the speaker design, I personally could live with either option just fine. I don't know your room & placement, overall the RS-7's will be fuller based on the 8" woofer, but I would suspect the difference between the RS-7 & the RS 62II would be subtle as well.
  23. I'm certainly no expert either. Just a long time avid enthusiast, who knows just enough to be dangerous (lol). I do have a "dedicated room" for HT.... but it's not a frame-up dedicated, custom HT build. I might even consider from Klipsch the R-115SW or try & locate an pair of older RSW15's.
