  1. The Marantz should take the incoming signal and give you the best audio out available from the source for whatever your system has for speakers. I have the sr6010, just let it handle the incoming signal automatically for multichannel listening. 80hz and just LFE. LFE+mains often causes bass cancelation, seldom do people find it adds to the listening experience, but feel free to try it. Most listen to music in two channel not multi channel, but it depends on your speakers and what you like. 2 channel pure direct is usually preferred in 2 channel. ultimately it's up to you and what sounds good in your room.
  2. Doesn't pure direct = no EQ I think Audyssey(Marantz SR6010) did an amazing job for my 7.2. I love the sound for movies and DD content. Keep in mind the version of audysey being used is a huge factor. When I switched from my slightly older Denon to my current Marantz the sound and separation was on point. Really the only thing that changed was the Audyssey. I did not like it for 2.0 listening with my 7ii's, no matter what setting. It didn't sound bad, but I just felt it was missing something.
  3. $400 and still no Marantz? If you get everything in A in package B. Then I'd pay up the $400 difference for the iii's. $133 increase per speaker. If No Marantz in the deal, your looking at $5-600 increase per speaker. Too much IMO.
  4. I too would assume the iii are the better speaker here, the question is, is it worth about $1500-1800 more than the 7ii's?
  5. They definitely can be bright. After several AVR's, I found an int amp that gives me what I wanted/expected from the 7ii's. The room correction helped tame the highs, but even before, it was really only at high volume levels that it bothered me. DO you still use them for music or did you go with another speaker for music? I too owned the 82ii's as I see you do. Great value if you ask me, but the 7ii's are in another league.
  6. For $500 more and no 7011. That's a total of about 1500-1800$ between cash and receiver. That's a lot for the iii upgrade IMO but I have not heard them. I'd grab package A, get a second 115 and still pocket $1300 compared to package B. Is there much difference in the 7011 and the 7010? I have the 6010 and it will NOT get the HDR/Dolby vision update, but the 7010 will. It's an expensive upgrade, flagship to flagship, just wondering the difference between the two. Either choice will get you great results.
  7. I recently upgraded my Cd player also, balanced interconnects got here yesterday. I'm waiting till my Aircom fans come in to do it all at once. I'm not expecting much of a difference using balanced, but it will be welcomed if it does.
  8. Thanks, I haven't seen a single negative comment on the web about one of these. It was definitely ahead of it's time with some of the features, and still holds up to any of todays integrated amplifier standards. I love what the EZsetEQ room correction does for my room and my rf7ii's. Not sure how many have dual independent sub calibration, and dual sub HT bypass? I never set up the HT bypass due to location and cabling issues of my theater/2channel systems, but it would be ideal for what I want to accomplish. The WAF is large as all of my gear below is in our main living room.
  9. $1050 double boxed, con US, paypal It's a beast, and in very nice shape. I go though a lifting routine whenever I have to move it lol.

  11. Get the Marantz, check accessories4less.com for deals. I have bought an AVR and 2 channel amp from them with success. The 6012 is pretty new so their may not be any available. You mentioned 6012 and 7011. Just make sure they are 2.2 hdcp for 4k HDR10 and Dolby vision. I think the 7011 is compliant with firmaware upgrade and the 6012 should certainly have it. Good luck they are both very nice.
  12. Great gear, great price. GLWS Custom center is a huge upgrade, very cool
  13. I almost grabbed one of these off ebay, ended up going a different route. Sure is a clean looking unit. Let us know how it rips!
  14. For the looks no doubt for me the ii's. I would like to hear the differences in the iii's sound. Even if it sounds a little better, how many are willing to take the cost hit on their ii's to upgrade to the iii's. I'm not in that position to take that kind of hit.
  15. Price drop: $300 shipped $225 picked up locally
  16. I see your klipsch listing quite often in my searches. Wish I had the coin and space for that set up.
  17. Thanks for the replies and links. It really is a beast of an AVR, if HDMI is not needed in your system it would be hard to beat. I picked up a HK 990 for my integrated amp. I've wanted it for years, and finally had the funds when one came available. They don't pop up often, maybe 2-3 a year on EBAY. It sounds amazing IMO
  18. Selling a well cared for B&K AVR 507. This is the series 1 that carries the THX ultra 2 cert, B&K dropped the cert with the series 2. This AVR was $3-4K dollars when it came out. It can be configured in many ways, and has extensive options for getting that audio just right. I used this high powered AVR to feed my RF-7ii's in a two channel set up. Only reason I am selling is I finally purchased my dream integrated amp. 150WPC multizone AVR 1350 total consumption THX ultra Couple light scuffs here and there, I think most would be satified with the condition, I tried to take good pictures and can can take more photos if requested. Power cord/remote/ an cd rom of manual included. No original box. 50lbs, this thing is heavy. Will be boxed carefully to make the trip if shipped.. 325 shipped 275 pick up More Pics: https://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/ele/6209030521.html
  19. I would assume Klipsch just wants the 82ii's out of stock with their retailers, so the 280 is the option to purchase new. I don't even think you can get them off their website as of a while ago. I sold my 82ii's a week before that fry's deal came out for $500. We have one within 15 miles of here.
  20. You should be able to find a gently used pair of 52 or 62 if you watch on ebay or in the garage sale area here. If you are unable to find them you would be just fine getting something from the rp line. I have the 42ii's and think they do the job in my system, but if you gave me the choice I would always go bigger. GL

    Chuck Eye steak

We grab these anytime we see them which isn't all that often. Half the price of rib eye, 90% as good. For the cost they are my favorite steak. I grilled some on Monday. JL sargent, that is exactly how I grill mine. Room temp is key imo. The reason you son't see them often people buy them when they see them, and off the top of my head there are very few "chuck eye" cuts per cow.
