  1. I thought it may have been mold, and I'd like to believe the re-glue scenario you've pointed out. $400 is a great deal.
  2. No link? You can view the CL link on the "did you see what I saw" string - snippet provided below. Posted 13 hours ago https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/ele/d/klipsch-klf-30-legend-tower/6483784597.html KLF-30's, black, So Ft Meyer's area........$400 for the pair Buy them - just beware that they may have seen a water incident judging by the rear panel shot. Maybe not, but something looks odd in the last photo - bottom 1/2 of cabinet.

  6. Thanks to your recommendation, I have acquired two of the 15" in this Foundation Series as well. Wondered how the 18"-er's would compare, especially in a like kind dual sub set up. Floppy, slow, how much SPL gain, etc.?

  9. ....or not. You told me but I was too stubborn to listen. Still a good buy for someone.
  10. ........and about 8 each way for me <add> but Menards is a client and their corporate offices are there - not that I'd "need" to make a stop to justify the trip.
  11. Same conditions thanks to the Saturday afternoon / evening dumping. Awaiting another thaw / freeze cycle to create more opportunity here. Mendota is well regarded, amongst the other venues in WI, for iceboats & racing. Enjoy your Hk430 when it arrives !
  12. @Youthman What is your take on the "new" platform type base since it is larger than the main cabinet size - Any worse than traditional feet? Any perceived or realized issues with moving them should it become necessary? Rectangular ports are an interesting touch and larger horn too.
  13. "Local pick up only" may dampen much of the usual sale price escalation.
  14. Difficult to "pick up" - as in physically due to shape, size, weight - or in procurement? I haven't been purposely looking for them, but I don't necessarily see them come available often either.
  15. NOT the same subs by any means - my alert on the previous page was for the RT-12d, not an RW-12, or RW12d. Both are "sub" standard in comparison - look them up.
  16. I'm not convinced, but time will surely tell.
  17. https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/ele/d/klipsch-rt-12d/6447028300.html Rt-12d in Detroit for $600 - less grills.
  18. Beat you to it but only by 5 days.
  19. Exactly the opposite reason we seek insulation up here - to stay warm in the winter months.
  20. I know a few Fed-ex guys and a whole bunch of UPS folks, but to calm your fears, none of them are long distance haulers - or pilots, just local delivery folks. Enjoy <add> Should I plan a visit with an accompanying contingent to tear up the Lake Mendota ice conditions, or is there too much snow now for racing?
  21. This could still work as I'm sure some of us had these when young - even though you may be reluctant to admit it.
  22. My preference is to attend the local High School athletic competitions. Autumn football games offer the best $5 admission cost that I can think of. Nearly all HS sports admissions - here - are $5. Kids at that age still enjoy the game for what it is - a game. The competition is just a bonus.
  23. It's still stupid money, paid to grown men - and women, to play a GAME. Contracts in the $100's of millions are being paid to individuals negating the ability of an average fan to even attend a game. Is a sports player worth a BILLION dollars over the course of a career? WOW, I say no. As I age, I see the ridiculousness of it all especially the "made for television" stages that are sold to the masses. Great reason for a get together party though, but to get hung up on the outcome of the game - not so much. Pappy used to say: Will this matter in 100 years? If not, then........do not be at all bothered by it.
