That IS the way to package for safe arrival, but adds considerably to the cost. Seems like it would be offset by less claims or returns. A single sheet of plastic - laughable - does nothing other than keep someone employed & mere dust off the finish.

Even with placing the speakers in an insulating & padded double wall carton & then INSIDE of a 2nd double, or even triple, wall carton won't necessarily guarantee their safe arrival. These items we so relish are both heavy and bulky so damage is surely to occur from drops, mis-handles, and speed demon lift truck operators. Direct shipping to end user will continue to be risky with the current packaging being used. Exposure to such losses may be lessened by bulk shipping to various distribution points (by pallet) & then requiring Pick-Up-Only (within end user's same county or some predetermined distance radius). YMMV

@Escher Yesterday, I ran across an old text that I'd sent the seller 2 weeks back. That inquiry went without a response. Re-sent an inquiry yesterday, and again, NO REPLY. I suggest making an old fashioned phone call and see if you get an answer. If not, oh well - they aren't that great of a deal where you'd need to race up there to get them. YMMV

On the 2 pairs listed for sale in Traverse City - of course NOT. 2nd inquiry was sent on Monday when I was in the quaint town of Manistee, and thus, only 1 hour from viewing. Zip, nothing, nada. The black pair that were offered for sale in Kalkaska were stated as a 1 day only offering so it's not surprising the posting has been deleted. If the seller was who I think it may've been, I should've again thanked him for my '77 WO Belles & made arrangements for a cordial drop in later in the recreational travel season.

That is one small a$$ town about 4 hours north of me. Less than 20,000 residents in the entire county. If these are offered for sale by "Jesse", know that he is a straight honest and legit seller of quality items.
