  1. I had thought an auction is something where you see what others are bidding and bid again and again. I'm relatively new here so with two objections to my initial post I will modify it with the following: Asking $750
  2. Opus I don't think I have it setup as an auction, it's a request for a best offer.
  3. I have a beautiful RSW-15 in black available for sale. It is in terrific shape, has some minor scratches, one small imperfection, 2 missing grill pegs, and is otherwise in great shape. I purchased this subwoofer from another member in the forum and would like to sell it to another member in the forum to "pass it on." I have tested it extensively, and it works 100%. I added feet to this sub, as it came without feet. Some scratches on the bottom are there most likely due to the lack of feet. I did some light touchup on them in order to make the appearance as perfect as possible. The member who had it before me took excellent care of it, and I have also. It has absolutely no performance issues and plays loud, low and clear. Asking $750 for the RSW-15. I enjoy getting to know and meet the members here. Please be friendly! I look forward to creating a win-win here My track record is not long here but I am 100% honest and forthcoming. Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures of any part as needed. I am located in Chicago, Illinois, in the far north part of the city. Easily accessible for anybody, safe and parking is not a problem where I live. Cheers, Roboklipsch
  4. WakeJunkie and YM, beautiful work. I would be scared as heck to put it in the trailer and move it! YM can you comment on how you will go about packing it up and getting it back home?
  5. Beechwood aged for a smoother response.
  6. Play her favorite songs on them or a chick flick and blammo shes on board. Scrappy has a point ☺
  7. I've used Redbox twice now, and both did have 7.1 Master Audio options. I have never used Netflix's discs, but probably never will now after hearing about this. Thanks for the thread.
  8. I'm not sure what the big concern is with these. They can be mounted, one on the right wall, one on the left wall, a foot or two forward from the back wall. The one on the left is further from the center, so the level correction would come into play and make it louder so that it balances. Another option is buy 1 stand, and mount the left surround on the stand, above ear level, matching the height of the one mounted on the right wall. For maximum flexibility and options, buy 2 stands, and mount them both even if you still end up with the one on the right next to the wall. With 2 stands, you can try all kinds of positions to make it work.
  9. I would mount on side walls a bit forward from the back walls. The left surround can be corrected with a higher level or by mounting on a high stand if perfect balance is desired. The rs are very loud and will have mo problem keeping up.
  10. Bose system has sold. I apologize to all the teary-eyed Klipsch forum members left to wonder what they missed. I only had one system, I'm sorry Youthman I appreciate your offer to trade your LaScala theater build for the Bose...but in the end I just couldn't pull the trigger.
  11. Bringing up a topic such as, I haven't liked the crossovers and bracing that Klipsch have used, is the RP series different? -- would almost certainly garner a response that is positive from those that care Bringing up a topic such as, would you please do something for me, but not explaining why -- opens the door for interpretation, some good and some bad as to your intentions Being direct, in most situations, reduces confusion and conflict. Implying something, in many situations, creates confusion that can lead to conflict Robofucious has spoken
  12. Revenant photography was the most stunning ive ever seen in a movie, period. From the beginning camera shot where they dont move away from the brutal scenes until the end you feel that cold-hearted wilderness almost the same as in Gravity - unlivable.
  13. MLO maybe Klipsch designed the sub assuming a crossover of 80 or less and built the curve to be flat with the crossover. I would think most buyers of a 15 are planning to go low and cross at 80 or less?
  14. Beautiful post, well done! May the highest power bless those who are giving or have given their lives for our country.
  15. Derrickdj I read through some earlier threads and saw one from a few years ago where u talked about not wanting a fleet of subs....lol how things change. Best system I've ever heard including showrooms at ABT. Better than a 500k setup. Dj knows bass ☺
  16. Update: I had the chance to listen to a fleet of Marty Subs, almost all the sizes from Full at least through Johnny and then some sealed subs. I doubt many systems are more capable than this one was. The bottom line in my view, is that setting these up in the couch is almost an exact, identical sensation as listening to a large array of subs. At lower volumes or higher volumes, it really is the identical feeling. At lower volumes, your mind knows that something is out of whack...the volume isn't loud enough for this. But imo, they are an incredible investment for anybody who ever wants to listen at volumes under reference with sub-like rumble, and also for anybody who does not have subs that are strong down low. It's really a perfect solution for a home theater fan who lives in an apt, an adjoined condo, or has family that prevents full use of powerful subs. No matter what subs I ever have, I never plan to take them out of my couch. Derrick's comments about the amp needed are important too. They simply don't need a lot of power, don't spend a lot on an amp.
  17. This. Beware the ebay "buyer beware" sellers, who buy it at Frys or the like on sale at 1/2 price and then turn it around and try to make a profit. They have every right to do it, but that's why there's so many out there.
  18. RoboKlipsch By way of explanation, when I joined the Forum and disclosed that I had a BOSE Wave Radio and a pair of 901 's, some of the more outspoken (dare I say "rude" JimJimbo?) went on for weeks about BOSE. GLWS Thanks for the clarification I understand that like the Klipsch brand, the Bose brand has it's own set of followers and haters. Being honest and fair, there is something really cool and interesting about Bose imo. They may not be a reference speaker, but they have a charm of their own.
  19. I am the only owner of this system, having purchased it directly from Bose. The system is in near perfect shape and includes: > Bose Acoustimass 6 Series II Subwoofer and 5 single cube speakers ($200) > Bose VCS10 Center Channel ($100) > Bose OEM UFS20 Speaker Stands (2 pair, 4 stands total) ($100) > Manual I took great care of this system and it's ready to go for the next owner. The only flaw in the entire system is that when taking out the speaker wires from the stands, 2 of them had the cover tear a bit. The simple solution here is just to cut off the first few feet of the wires on those 2. The system comes with 50 feet of wire (25 to the sub, 25 to the system) so cutting off a couple feet will make no difference. The cubes are spring loaded, a couple of them are tight fits, but work just fine. They have always been that way, nothing has changed. They sound exactly like they should, no cosmetic flaws and no damage to any of the system. Asking $400 for the complete system. Am not planning to part it out but have shown the breakdown of the costs so that you can understand where the number comes from. With the 5 cubes and center, you can create a 6.1 system if you like, or use as a 5.1 with a spare cube. I plan to put this out on EBay within the next day or two but wanted to offer to forum members first as I have had great experiences working with members in the past. Once on Ebay it will have a bid option so once a bid is placed, I won't be able to sell it here anymore. Please PM me, I am very responsive. I am located in the city of Chicago, and will be happy to ship or sell locally.
  20. Mustang nice! Proof Klipsch does make a horn loaded sub. You just need 8 guys to move it!
  21. I think the measure of your sub setup is the total weight. Please estimate your subs in your main room. Mine is 85lbs. Who can top that??? Derrickdj feel free to use tonnage if that is easier. ☺
  22. Good points. If he wants a certain veneer that's critical because he'll be looking at the subs for a long time.
  23. Several people on this forum have helped guide me or sell me something that was a terrific help -- Here's my little bit of help. Why buy one or the other when there's a pair available, for the price of 1 with a little negotiation? 1 year old, 4 years of warranty left, you can't lose if you want those PSAs. Noaffiliation whatsoever, just found these on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Powersound-Audio-Dual-S3000i-Subwoofers-/252381305520?hash=item3ac3191ab0:g:xWoAAOSwaG9XJB2W
