  1. I have a huge file of pics on photobucket of the complete reveneer of my Heresy's. Read here thread here--> https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/164392-1978-heresy-restoration-complete/#entry2034912 Photobucket pics of the process: http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/MCoffel/library/Klipsch%20Heresy%20Restoration Let me know if I can help!
  2. I came so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Sold for $406. I think this would be fair for the components IF you were local. (A close look at the pics indicates the side of one of enclosures is trashed. Looks DE-laminated or something.) Somebody here win the auction?
  4. HA! That before and after says it all, eh?!
  5. I know of SS repair in PA. I don't live up there but a good friend does. He highly recommends them. www.galaxieelectronics.com
  6. I WAS considering these and actually placed a low bid to follow but they are climbing. The effort to "restore" these will be quite an undertaking. AND... I would want these to be very presentable so.... I'm out! LOL
  7. That's within driving distance for me AND my brother-in-law lives in Cleveland (TN). Hmmmmm....
  8. BamaMike - did I see in another thread that you're in or around Montgomery AL? (back in the day, we used to call it MonkeyTown, but anyway...) years ago, I used a place in metro Birmingham that I think is still there. staff has probably turned over some, but within the last year or 2, last I saw, they were still there. Audio & Video Service Co, Inc. http://avs-design.com/default.asp it's been ages since I've used them, but they did a good job on my H-K receiver that I'm still using Thanks! I'll look them up and see if they can help me and report back here.
  9. I would love to find someone in the SE (Alabama/Georgia) area. I have a couple of pieces of vintage integrated equipment in need of repair.
  10. Would definitely love to see them!
  11. Thanks... yes the Yamaha RVX in the pic is temporary whilst I work out what system I will use them on (I have a few). Unfortunately, I do not run any tubes... most likely will drive these with my Onkyo Integra Amp/Preamp. Before the resto I was driving them with these in another room and my wife and I were blown away by the sound. So much so that we went all out in the refinish! I will never sell these bad boys! Now if I can just find some La Scalas for my big room!
  12. Thanks. Yeah that page is VERY cool if you are in to vintage gear. Over 20k members. Some very knowledgeable folks on there as well.
  13. This is where I got my veneer from... http://www.veneersupplies.com/
  14. I have family in Texas and Arkansas AND in Pheonix. The TX/AR folks come this way now and again but... LOL Maybe I will ask and see what they say!
  15. I'm on the look out for a pair but alas... I am in Alabama. If there was a way, I would be all over it!
  16. Here are tons of pics of my Heresy project which shows in detail the veneering process. More than happy to answer any question... http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/MCoffel/library/Klipsch%20Heresy%20Restoration
  17. Let's see the pics. I'm in Montgomery.
  18. I have some red birch veneer left over from a project. I was thinking about buying another set or two of Crites risers and doing them up... Let me know if you are interested. I could veneer them in the red birch and you can stain or I can stain. See my thread regarding "Heresy Restoration" for pics of them on raw red birch and finished in Watco Danish Oil (Cherry).
