THTLP or one of Mookie's subs. That's how you improve it.

As an owner of 1968's ("F"), I'm pretty certain that "E" is 1967. Every other assessment is dead on, in my opinion. Those are certainly newer 77 and 55 drivers. I wonder why they were swapped out?
They may not look nice, but I bet they sound great.

A 5-Jubilee home theatre could be a really amazing (and expensive) entertainment system!
Sure would. I'm days away from setting up my Klipschorns as fronts, La Scalas as rear, a Heresy as center, and a THTLP sub in my living room. Only furniture is a chair.
Best I can do at the moment.

I know I've been absent for a while, but when did they become unobtainium?

Any thoughts on doing this with 5.1 audio?
I'd like to play some 5.1 music from DVD. I have the amplifiers, but need to drive them with analog audio. How can I do this? Does someone make a 5.1 extractor with decent noise floor?
I'm planning on putting my Klipschorns in the living room as front channel, La Scalas as the rear channel, a Heresy as center, and a THTLP as the sub.
Thanks for the help.

Shame on you
That's what the $75 dollar version is for!!! [emoji6]
Lol yes but I didn’t have to, there was a yellow post-it on the wrapper with the number right on it.- 1

They look nice. A55G's, walnut tweeter horns, Crites crossovers. No affiliation.

I just got the back in stock email, too.

Never heard of this. Post photos.

Wow. Bid right now is around $900 with 15 hours left (or more?). Seriously great deal for someone, even at double that.
No room, no time, no money. That about sums me up.

No, they used 8-tracks in the Civil War.
Early on, they used narrow-gauge 8-tracks.- 2

Yeah, I talked with Claude and he suggested that I build a Bill Fitzmaurice THTLP and call it good, which I may do just for fun anyways.
This is the right answer, IMO.- 1

Ah, the very rare "bass on top" versions. lol.
Seriously, great price.

I just acquired a ridiculously cheap pair of LaScalas ($250 CDN, so around $200 US). Unfortunately, the previous owner really went to town with some questionable modifications, especially to the top section (added carrying handles, changed the horns, changed the drivers, remove the doghouse access panel... these must of sounded awful!!). The bass bin is very much intact and well sealed.
I plan on chopping off the top section, keeping the bass bin only and will purchase a set of the 510 clones from ebay and go two way. Now, I would like to add some 1/4" baltic birch around the sides, top and bottom of the bass bins. Ideally, I'd like to avoid using screws or brad nails.
Does anyone have any great ideas how to ensure proper pressure while laminating said bass bin?
This project is for well into next year, so no rush. Mostly exploring my options right now.
Sounds really familiar. Check out what I did. I chopped the tops off like you are thinking of doing, and made rugged splits on wheels. New handles, SpeakOns, all trimmed out. K33, A55, K77, Klipsch crossovers. 401 horns.
They sound fantastic. BTW, I'm not sure how that photo below got affixed to the topic, those in the photo belong to @MookieStl I think. You gotta walk through the thread to see how they turned out.

I have less than ten years left! And it is going to be rude of me to die on one of my son's 45th birthday!
If they wanted to at least make it somewhat accurate, they could have asked more questions, even if they ignore it.
BMI is not the only (besides the smoking thing) factor in longevity. I am big boned.
Both of my parents made it to 92 and I only get 72? Who do I complain to???
I’m big-boned too, but only in my head.
That thing says I have 20 more years. Hmmm. Mookie, can I have all your stuff?- 1

Oh that works just fine. Couldn't quite figure it out w/o graphics. [emoji3] Thanks.
Yep. Better photo (maybe) from original thread:
