    Actually as @MechEngVic says it looks like you have a version of Crites on yours ;)

     

    If you are a handyman and meticulous, it looks like you can repair yours with copper wire, silver solder and varnish to protect everything 🔨

    Hi,

     

    Claude rightly in general the impedance 8 or 16 ohms do not use the same capacitors for the same filtering frequency, but beware the ALK filter is designed to work with a sqwaker impedance of 8 or 16 ohms thanks to the autoformer and to a resistor, so normally there is no influence of the capacitors on the filtering frequency in this case. Only the output will be influenced and as Claude says it will play on the setting of the autoformer. The fact that the components and the horns are different from one project to another also influences the settings. Finally in the end it is also necessary to take into account personal tastes and everyone will adjust the filters according to their tastes.

    Apart from the settings: JJ KT77 are very good tubes the sound with your fantastic Cornscala must be very good  👍

     

     

    Note: The Eminence 15" Woofer will relax in a few hours, between 50 and 100 hours hours of music, and there will be more bass: so be patient for the final adjustment of the midrange sqwaker

    The Noico is on the steel basket of the passive speaker in a place that can resonate, there is no magnetic system in this place. So for me the modifications are beneficial and in any case easy as everything is already dismantled, so why deprive myself of it, I find it positive 👍

    Yes it is a good idea to keep the vintage look of the speakers. If the black cannot be removed completely, you can make a very modern industrial vintage look 👍

     

    If there is no surface repair to be done or if you voluntarily choose to leave the marks of time, gently sand with super fine grade 0000 steel wool and use restorative beeswax with a tint your selection. This often gives very beautiful results with just the right amount of patina.
