    The Other Discs

Enjoy listening to JJ Cale! Can only try to get more of his work.
  2. As long as it keeps you busy while it's muddy outside! You opened the kitchen to the den? That fridge looks exactly like my black LG and it makes some strange noises with the linear compressor. CWs can make pressure, always liked my L & R spread as far as possible in any room. SVS SB3000 can pressurize too (two)! Upholstered furniture can help and also can block, you two will figure that out after the cleanup I'd bet!

Great selection of their work! & love that Japanese vinyl!
  4. Looked at the radar 20 minutes ago and the red was going into ATL. Not far and no mountains between there and here, could be stormy in a couple hours.
  5. Funny because that's a big Doooh from my end. It's got Willing on it I think. pm coming your way.
  6. I want the first two on your list, commented about it the last time! Not sure when I'll get them, but my brother texted me a pic a while back: Not in there is the fourth crate They're obviously 28" or so long. He brought me five a few weeks ago, two are playable for me. Picky about my $$MC I got two years ago, looking into a record cleaning machine just can't decide on the convenience of vacuum dry vs the clean of ultrasonic. So, I'll keep you in mind if I can break away from my caregiver job here and pick them up down at Clemson or if he brings them up here! ** What is Little Feat ST MFSL?
  7. Exactly what I was thinking about @dirtmudd . Those incredibly picky two son of a guns getting it just right and maybe thinking about static trouble with lps crackling when they fit that in to that song!!
  8. The desert does have some pretty good temp swings. Been 30s to 60s and wet, wet, wet, again here. Still occasionally have an eighty foot oak that wasn't tended to in the heatwave/drought two decades ago that just fall down. Found a variant of my new southwest "Rain Song" recently. Hope you're getting better!
  9. Wake up lost in an empty town Wondering why no one else is around Look up to see a giant boy You’ve just become his brand new toy No escape, no place to hide Here where Time and Space collide You have entered the Twilight Zone Beyond this world strange things are known Use the key, unlock the door See what your fate might have in store Come explore your dreams’ creation Enter this world of imagination
  10. Some of the passages sounded so spooky to me when I first heard that whole LP in the late 70s @Full Range At that point had not even seen the Exorcist, didn't until it came on tv later on. & Oldfield played every instrument on the LP? Good clock in his head and great mastering. The Record Store Day editions I've got are very nice too!
  11. Back in the grooves now. Entirely predictable here, the other stuff will have to wait. One of my all time favorite bands lost their drummer Tuesday and it was announced a little while ago. Forty years ago I imagined firing up a stogie (extremely large doobie) when events good or bad happened, forever more. Things are different but side two of "Fly By Night" is still beautiful and comforting to me. Leaving off the first track from side B. Rest in Peace Mr. Peart.
  12. Saw a concert footage/introspective on the band last year sometime on a music channel. He was talking about a foot issue that started with them getting wet an a looooong ride. Seen sentiments expressed here that mirror my own. They are one of my faves!
  13. Darn, Thank You Neil for coming to my town dozens of times, enjoyed every minute! I salute y'all with the encore you left us with often
  14. Fair Warning: will have something uncharacteristic of me to post in a little while. *
  15. In the 50s here, not warm but flannel shirt weather for me. Saw some nice yellow squash at the store knew we had a box of dumpling in the freezer and viola! Food for days! Gotta wait for ten more minutes after putting the chicken back in now.
  16. That first price is even good compared to mine that are three years old now. Graduated trifocals that actually turn dark in sunshine. Not any bright light just uv. Also not as dark as RB Glacier Glasses but that is unobtanium now-a-days anyhow. The change to dk blue is darker than the brownish tint I saw. Had a pair of Julbos I left in the ceiling of the totalled Accord, they were almost as dark as the Glacier Glasses.
  17. Glad I'm not up there in Flames territory but thanks for taking Peters and a couple guys that we ended up being better without!
  18. Yea @Dave1290 wiki is as wiki does you know it hangs to the left, sometimes to the right or out front. More like the Beatles on a good trip... melodic, bass pummeling, crescendos then ethereal minimalism all on the same LP! Never had Revolver, I had the red & blue doubles to cover all that. They were the first records I bought after "Locomotion" "Black Water" and "Billy Don't be a Hero" 45s. Out of awareness for longevity of the tubes Usually both sides of a LP or two sometimes one side of three or four. Lime & is short ran both `cause it just got here. It is convex like a saucer. we've got a ten pound Websters.... hang on With several ostracized boxed sets first then the library of congress edition on top hope I can flatten it out! Anyone ever dealt with this before? Could it work?
  19. They were testing a new product, had a case sized cooler and handing them out & asking questions! Carbonation might count!
