I agree. Reliability for tuned subies VS VWs are two different things.... I have many family and friends with tuned audis and VWs that have put many miles on them with no issues. I have several friends that have blown motors on subies from minimal mods.... But you are correct, always a bit of a gamble regardless.

Interesting. After re reading that, yeah I can believe that. Youtube and Netflix surely have to be reasonably compressed due to the sheer amount of offerings. I don't own any blue rays and I am not a big movie guy, but based on my experience with testing DVD vs blueray on a quality production, I would have to agree.

Should I Revert to the best of disc's with laser errors?, or... Should I trust "error free" double checked disc readers and software? Who knows.... Oh... I do

I have experimented with hard disc to disc comparison MANY times and left disc behind 10 years ago or so ago...what are you hearing that I don't?

Try a pair of b stock black speckled heresy IIIs and your mind WILL BE blown IMO. I just bought a pair of heresy III s for outside and...? They will lot ally make you laugh out loud how good they are.. Even at low volumes with any off the shelf amp @MetropolisLakeOutfitters

Start here, AVS and KLIPSCH forums are different breeds. IMO any sub worthy of excess in the musical realm at the level you guys are doing will satisfy 80% or so of HT enthusiasts. Most people DO NOT have a real HT space available....

I know it will be. I only wanted one sub (second sub blocks access to precious cabinet space on the other side. This is a once and done approach for a sub. Refer to the "how much do your neighbors love klipsch" forum 😂. This sub, along with the 396s will surely put a smile on damn near anyone's face.

I hear you man. I try to be respectful to my neighbors, but I like loud music from time to do. When I do so, it's usually indoors with all doors and windows closed and usually mid day on an off day. Always off before it needs to be. Outdoors is seldom as I know that is what bothers neighbors the most. Im not one of those that complains when others have company and events that get loud/ go late. That's just me I guess....
