  1. Not substandard, but like many other things, can be improved upon. Part of why I created this thread. Looking for other more experienced users input.
  2. https://www.apogeedigital.com/ess-sabre This is the chip in the parasound P6 I bought. So Im wondering if it will benefit from reclocking or not....? Thanks for the input.
  3. Femto clocking and NO toslink FTW. I assume you are speaking of internal clock upgrades rather than external "reclocking" devices that I am asking about?
  4. Butt nukked. Those Cornwalls have some thick cloth in the grilles. I ran mine without.
  5. Any of you guys using them? Buddy of mine mentioned an expensive one of these to me and swears this makes all the difference in the world coming into a DAC when using USB. For those of you asking, what the hell is that? Let me know your thoughts on em. https://www.amazon.com/Wyred-Sound-Recovery-USB-Reclocker/dp/B01CUTMKYM
  6. I woild contact him. He might be able to sell to you directly for a deal. @justinsweber

One found 👍, looking for a second. All links above attempted thus far.
  8. Two crown macro reference amps. Creating my own black Friday pricing. One down, one to go.
  9. What is Justin's s/N here? Thought it was Justin weber...
  10. Though it would be hard to find KI-396's to audition, I would strongly urge you to do so before choosing them over the Cornwalls I agree with you there and I think that can be said about ANY speaker that you are going go spend this Kind of coin on. This is pretty good for a 2-way design. It's ridiculously good But for use with rock or jazz I would think they'd require a subwoofer. You are ABSOLUTELY right about this. They NEED Subwoofer(s). Problem may be, depending on how you like to listen, you need to find bass to keep up with them. I got that covered, but many here would say my setup is Def ugly. That I don't so much care about. Wouldn't be my first choice aestheticslly, but there there weren't really options..
  11. I'm also digging my Klipsch Pro Kp-3002 speakers outside. I'm hooked on the pro gear as of now.
  12. To answer your question, yes they are much more detailed than the heresy 3 I owned and also the Cornwall 3 I owned as well as many other pair of Klipsch vintage speakers that I had. I will say that they may not be the best very low volume speaker. The treble is a little bit too soft at low volumes. It seems like around 80 DB or so the balance comes into play correctly and they sound better the louder they get turned up from there.
  13. $2500. Sold em to get KI 396 IIs. MAJOR upgrade.
  14. I'm sorry you were diagnosed with said disease, glad cancer is taken care of and I wish you and your family the best.
  15. Yeah man. Buy yourself something nice for Christmas.
  16. They're a great company. Sweetwater. Yes Yes they are. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I'm assuming this company is more for instruments and those types of cables, not something specific for home audio cables? Correct. However the mogami Gold cables I recommend are normally for "studio" type applications per se, but lots of guys are using them in hifI and are content with them. Try them yourself. If you don't like em, you can sell them for your discounted purchase price. Thank me later.
  17. Ah yes, the point of dimishing returns..... Where is it.....? If I had a ton of money invested in the whole systems and the cables are the weak link, I'm willing to spend a reasonable amount of money to improve the performance of the whole system.
  18. Headroom is a blessing not a problem.
  19. I'm going to guess that unit that everyone is asking about is a power conditioner of some sort?
  20. Cornwalls are about 3 inches shorter if I'm not mistaken and 6 inches or so wider.
