  1. +1. Leave it to the pros if you aren't confident in your ability. You will feel much worse if you do more harm than good. Most say the veneer is extremely thin (delicate). Good luck man let us know how it turns out.
  2. I would place the Chorus II pair I owned very close to the current Forte III. The guy I bought the chorus II from didn't go nuts on the crossover though during recap, just basic Crites. The Forte III sounded much better at low volumes. The chorus I felt had to be up a little louder for the sound to equalize. The Cornwalls have more bass output that is not as tight as the others, but sounds deeper than the other two. The mids on the Forte III I liked much better, other than a sharp rise around 1.5k or so if I remember right, which was mostly fixed by firing them straight.
  3. Haha. No picture of the damage. Your guess is as good as mine how bad the damage is (I would guess severe). If it was just the riser, a new base could be made fairly simply it would seem for those with woodworking skills.
  4. 80 WPC, dual mono, class AB. I'm sure it would make a nice pairing with Klipsch. Great price. Hope it helps someone.
  5. They are being sold off deeply discounted of course. https://www.adorama.com/us 1036803.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwio3dBRAqEiwAHWsNVZOChxOTSgIoMUOemRo2OWOQJnXj1jOm0_Ht6VtscRV4eV3PpXLb1hoCaP8QAvD_BwE
  6. Why don’t pirates shower before they walk the plank? Because they’ll just wash up on shore later
  7. It could be, but it wont be. Think of the current offering. Forte III and Cornwall III there is NO ROOM foraas sales/profit. Who here had HEARD the Cornwall III And Forte III in THEIR OWN ROOM? I HAVE. Cornwall III kills the Forte III, So much smoother....... Forte III peaks aggressively
  8. This somewhat makes sense now.... I used to work for the good guys and we had the RSW15 shoved in the corner... It was boomy but it hit HARD...... I took it home 5 or 6 times and it was a BEAST....it rattled my parents house haha
  9. Haha. My girl will argue klipschorn vs heresy all day long. I second that.
  10. Wow you learn something new every day. OK mouth shut. I had no idea.
  11. Mind blown. So you are telling me the front driver that is jumping out like crazy And the rear driving that is moving far less.... Front passive rear active..... I don't think so.....
  12. Who wants to argue modern VS vintage? It's still early.
  13. If you don't know what to use it for, pun intended, pass the buck kid.
  14. Argghhhh never announce you have crabs on a public forum matey.
  15. Haha ummmm I think his answer is no.... for obvious reasons. You have better and lesser on the market currently and there is no need for a median product. Just my two cents. I have owned the Forte III, Cornwall III and Chorus II and can honestly say, there is is NO NEED IMO for a current Chorus model.
  16. Naming a dog Parvo.. You are begging for bad luck... IMO
  17. I thought and still think (and am reasonably sure) the rear driver is passive and the front active.... Doesn't make sense otherwise. Would almost be willing to bet money on that. Mind blown if I am wrong.
  18. Hahaha whoa now you are talking double for the same... I am speaking to this day and age...... We can argue all day long but I hesitate to do so with anyone that thinks 40 years of engineering has brought nothing to the table for the same price as the prime "vintage" gear. Yeah from that comment you can figure out how old I am. You buy an old piece of gear and revamp it and you are EASILY into a quality piece of modern gear. Just my 2 cents. I know I'll be burned at the steak for it but I'm ready.
  19. The pirate spirit is alive and well in CA. Belive me the fainting goats and percherons will be there. As for the Renaissance spirit, it Will be alive and well as one can imagine. REAL cannons are fired every year only at this event. Good tune for us here in CA. GOD BLESS our current and former mitiary 🙏
  20. I'm surprised no one commented on what I said. No one thinks he will have trouble pairing a 500 WPC RMS amp to a 100 WPC RMS speaker? Come on now..... Bad idea. Unless you want to manipulate a 1/16th inch at a time by hand?
  21. Btw, unless your name is @Emile, makers mark or less should be more than enough for you. It is for me...Ahortia, estoy tomando repasdo 100% de agave.
