  1. OK you got my attention. To each his or her own. Most people IMO wouldn't know how to adjust a threshold and makeup gain properly but I am glad you have found you way with it!
  2. Damn. Too bad I just bought the exact same thing sans the the chip and dent for significantly more. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Hahahaha. All I have to say to that hope you get em. If not, the joker needs to take down his ad. Once emotions and tissues disappear, you two can talk
  4. The BEST plug-ins are SUPER expensive. Think waves diamond bundle or better. I'm not saying they don't have a place as they absolutely do, but for a hifI system? I think they rarely if ever have a place. Our extreme high end playback systems in the studio world would sound like garbage in the home. We are listening for entirely different things and I can truly appreciate both side believe me. I am out of the recording/engineering side for years now and am solely intersted in hifI now
  5. Nonetheless, thank you for posting, sarcasm aside. May turn out to be legit for someone.
  6. CHIP AND DESTROYED 500 each. No pictures available. Bid NOW
  7. I am NOT a plug in guy. We had available to us a RIDICULOUS amount of high end outboard gear as well as EVERYTHING in the box and I preferred not to touch in the box when possible.
  8. Mostly we use gates when needed. I guess "on paper" I understand. We had primarily used outboard gear in the past. I mean for budget gear that "expands" my question is, do the pros really outweigh the cons in terms of SQ and SNR? I kind of doubt it. Hearing is believing I guess.
  9. You are correct. I can't read I suppose. Why would anyone want a dynamic range expandercin a hifI system..... This one I would love to hear thd response on. We use gate and expanders in the studio but in a hifI system? Eh i think it would degrade the audio more than "expand" it.
  10. Don't throw stones at me, but for those it will help, EASY CHEAP substitute that sounds pretty good? Ashley XR-1001. I have used it in a high end pro system with solid results.
  11. Good luck man. On your journey and the sales

Just curious, reckoning a woofer from a speakers of that Era really? How so?
  13. You may... I would use what you have and repair it. Clearly your klipsch fetish may never be satisfied (believe me when I say I understand that).
  14. What about super glue or something else similar for the ripped woofer that will never been seen? I'm sure sans that one woofer, nominal impedance will change. Tap it with a multimeter and see so you know what you are working with. I think shoe goo may be another alternative if it is not be seen I highly doubt it matters.
  15. Maybe I missed that. Anyhow, used fortes are a solid all around speaker for little money (relatively speaking) . Easy gateway drug into the klipsch binge.
  16. SS with mosfets.... Never over etched. Tubes IMO tend to smear everything ever so slightly in a very pleasant way and give the end user the ability to color the sound until his or her heart is content with tube rolling. I know people say 5 watts is all you need. That isnt what I NEED and Def isn't enough for me. If it was, I would stay with tubes I'm sure. Color my audio with pleasant distortion any day. Sterile audio in the highly treated studios isn't pleasant to listen to, trust me. It is about what sounds good to you and tubes offer much better flexibility IMO. Most of us change gear here and there or more. With tubes you MAY not need to do so. Just my 2 cents
  17. Either you paid To much.. And received a house for free... Or paid to much for a house. That comment totally lost me... Not sure what you were trying to say there
  18. And that I understand, believe me if I have changed my mind more than a couple of times, but I remove my ads immediately if that is the case. I have never heard a pair of epics, but damn if they don't have a cult like following.
  19. Welcome to the world of Craigslist. As much as it is a ridiculous question, I understand where the question "is it still available comes from". There are some special people out there.
  20. Depends on where you are located. I just sold a pair of excellent Walnut Forte I yesterday for $600 and the guy drove 2 hours to come get them. Condition and type of veneer are everything on a used pair for sure.
  21. Damn those are clean. GLWS I'm sure they will go fast.
  22. You know what man, you are awesome I don't care what they say about you 😀
