Same way all good deals are lost... Thought about it a second too long. Contact Corey. He's a Parasound dealer and will make you a reasonable deal. -
POWER AMP .. KRELL , ROTEL and PARASOUND
MEH Synergy replied to boston_klipsch's topic in Garage Sale
+1 on solid deal there for not much money when all is said and done. Not just the quantity, but a significant bump in quality. -
Haha. Hey man since it continues to be pertinent, we keep it rolling.
-
Maybe I need to spend more time with them in positioning.... Everything else except what was mentioned I really like about them....

Correct it is doubling the demand of the amp by halving the impedance. Power will increase as the amps power supply dictates up until clipping. There will also be increased efficiency from adding more speakers. If I put two pair of 8 ohm speakers on my parasound amp right now in parallel, the power WILL double. It depends on what your amp supports.
-
Let's think about this, both A and B are connected internally. How do I know? They share a power supply. What does that mean? If you run both pair, you are essentially running your speakers parallel which decreases the impedance in half. Two 8 ohm speakers makes a 4 ohm nominal load. As long as the amp is designed to run at 4 ohms, you most surely WILL make more power. Double? More than likely not unless you have a beefy power supply. This concept is done all the time in car stereo systems.

The heresy IIIs are exceptionally smooth with solid bass output, very dynamic mids and excellent highs that are a touch on the soft side in a good way IMO. I was expecting the Forte IIIs to be very similar with killer bass. They have killer bass but that 2 to 3 k frequency makes me cringe at times on far too many recording. The heresy III and the Cornwall III never had that harshness to them. The heresy III is still the winner there

It becomes more comical when you have no intention of buying the item listed for sale either.
-
The way I see it is simple. This isn't an auction block. You post a price, firm or not and if someone is willing to pay it or wants to make you an offer they will do so via pm out of respect. I personally think it is assasine and Ill mannered to insinuate that someone's price is too high in YOUR opinion and spoil the sale for the seller. Otherwise, that should be done on everyone's items for sale all the time to level the playing field.

Edit that long run on sentence there so that one may read it. Welcome to the forum.

No. He raised his price and will no longer deliver. Deal breaker. Also didn't recap as was planned.

Proper care for Raw Birch Klipschorns
MEH Synergy replied to refried's topic in General Klipsch Info
Free? What a score. Lucky guy. -
So to clarify, what is problem now? We are taking measurements for what purpose....? Do they sound fine? You aren't measuring in an anechoic chamber and you are likely picking up some room gain. I'm sure RF7 II have bit of upper treble energy as well. If they sound fine I wouldn't worry about what a measurent shows. If you are overly concerned about them being bright or harsh, work on positioning FIRST and bypass or flatten eq if in the Circuit. Get them away from the sidewalls a bit and tame room reflections.

You forgot expensive and "bright"

Can't find a clear answer, help. (speakers + amp)
MEH Synergy replied to AlexKiDD's topic in General Klipsch Info
You will be fine unless you are trying to run your speakers at their limit regularly. If you use EQ, cut what you don't want instead or boosting what you do want and you should be fine. Just monitor temp on receiver while getting familiar with it if you plan on running the speakers hard (in which case a larger pair of speakers would be a better idea anyhow). -
What about 90 to 100 dB average level?

Cornwalls Rule - What else fills a big room at this price?
MEH Synergy replied to wantabeach's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Ugly aesthetically but beautiful sounding is beautiful to me (there are limits). I don't find those altecs terrible by any means aesthecially. Although, Certainly doesn't have klipsch beautiful vintage wood veneer. -

To me. Well aware altec covers a lot of ground. I am not familiar so interested in comparisons to affordable used models in comparison to heritage. I'm a klipsch fan, but have just heard many times now, altec models are some of the best you can get used for the dollar. They are often extremely large and heavy from what I have seen. Just thinking out loud.
