  1. no irony involved that I can see, unless u can stay afloat in 100 mph winds and dodge fast ball's... on Thursday, please donate to the Red Cross, help others please.
  2. Did it occur to anyone, that this topic subject has a flavor, which an edit for the better side of a forum would improve an outlook...
  3. you have to build your own screw driver bit to remove the screw's inside, but the cartridge comes out like a snap in flash bulb
  4. The video was dated Sept 7th, surely a more recent update is somewhere, like just call the Sunspot Observatory.... it's hard to believe the news interviewed a couple of young locals.
  5. yes, a bigger issue, back side protection, albeit plastic sheet or foam, for water leaks or dust, which would have no effect on the sound in the room
  6. I think a picture is needed to define parallel separation in this situation ? The Klipsch download manual info seems to have sufficient at 4 pages for english with the adjustable components.
  7. Yeti ice chests last 4 day's at best, when inside your house, with the a/c on, and a case of beer inside... good rope mounts on the side too
  8. I'd sure like to see some pictures of tarheels hurricane preparations outside, so we can suggest a few more remedy's about a screw here, or a nut there, a rope to there, yep, gonna need a pulley after that, and so on....
  9. Everyone has to start somewhere, I mean fisher price even makes car's.... and yes, I searched vintage FP, lol, but prefer orange lol, but will pass
  10. looking at a dictionary = bad is an adjective, "bad weather" not such as to be hoped for or desired; unpleasant or unwelcome. other things, like on Thursday, trying to make coffee, and the power goes out, that's bad, or it's high tide, raining, wind blowing like a bad mf or bad is like getting a root canal, without a cocktail, and that last's for about an hour of drilling on your teeth, or bad is like a ahhh ahhhh, waiting to leave and then getting a flat, but a cat 4 is a heavy duty low barometer reading, pretty bad deal. get one of those modern laptop things with a battery, head west, and stay in touch
  11. … thanks for the offer on your spare's... but I think you should hold onto them, being only 32 sq/ft in the package, I searched for surfboards last night lol, and didn't bother bookmarking anything, I couldn't believe the prices. In any event, the sound cloud principle's are interesting, but these 3D Wave panels I hope will be the down to earth solution...
  12. Just an idea, in lieu of thinking about a .008 mil plastic bag holding 800 lbs of water, would be to fill up some totes with lids for the water storage, and stack 'em up in the tub, or buy an extra bathtub of your preferences to use as a lesser expensive alternative 500 gallon stainless steel tank, just an fyi you know, when reading about how the retail store shelves are thinning out
  13. Update - ordered the Art3D Decorative 3D Wavy too, this morning... installation in the video appears to be a forthcoming "easier" project than my first cart selection of the 3D Diamond design, which I envisioned (still do) where the home builder here 40 year's ago made a fir-down under the stair case, leading up to the loft, which opens to a 16' vaulted ceiling in half the house.
  14. Thank you, there's only so many comma's, if's, and's, or's, or but wait's, that cross my mind, before I hit the insert button -> Thanks too Mike
  15. Do you mean -> Fixing on shopping around for insurance coverage, or, comparing travel ins to comparable home discounts, such as having a discount for home and auto which may include purchases of plywood in the event of dangerous storms.... or your policy is just starting and you all are kicking back with a nice cocktail in hand....
  16. Are you picturing the opening scene from the Beverly Hillbillies loaded vehicle transposed into North Carolina or the Red Steamroller from the weather picture
  17. I went thru my link's, and 2 cup's of coffee, and got stuck on the M theory (why I downloaded that correlation baffles me) but thank you for the amazon hypothesis. I saw this link for a sound wave, and the simplicity of it, as it relates to a 38% focal point room positioning starting point, as will any room, to me, it relates to the back wall experiment....
  18. Secure anything loose is a great starting point, How far down is the bedrock below your foundation ? Speaking about loose things, driving west seems the bestest...
  19. I'd like to be able to give you an answer in one sentence, they may have or they may not of, so, in conclusion, not that these things are still happening, but they have for about 50 trillion year's, so something had to make 'em…. and it probably started or leveled out after a good cup of coffee
  20. Very interesting, I surmise the picture's shown (for the panel's behind the speakers) to be only that... that they exist as heavy texture on the wall, nevertheless, I am ordering some for my own personal sonic experience, not just because I've seen everyone's reviews, but I have this feeling, I'm missing something, something in audio reflections, refractions, absorption, diffusion, time and distance, heck.... when the wind blow's from the north, I can't even hear the freeway to the south-side..... when the house is empty, echo's permeate, I time thunder by counting 1,2,3,4 and so on, to see how far it is away, amd wait, I have false corners behind my klipschorns, I am also amazed at the theory of the very design, whether the angles in the inert structure are designed to resemble a path of arrow's from an initial spreadsheet, that said, I'm glad I have ear's, and a desire.... Thank you
  21. Seems like a plausible plan for the time being - I mean, this could of gone anywhere, but glad it's inexpensive and blends in. I was about to suggest using the panel's you acquired and glued onto old surfboards, as diy clouds....
