OK, @falcon20x ... apologize for being impatient Was hoping to get these speakers here by Wednesday to finish my little project (haha ... before my wife gets home from her trip ). Will PM you again tomorrow Cheers, Emile
-
yeah .. so leave a buyer "hanging?" add-on ... yeah, breakdown/pack/ship could take an hour vs "local" demo/sale 1/2 hour
-
Not getting any response so withdrawing my offer
-
Cool Have seen a couple of those ... of course never "local" Think it's a Telefunken also ... just a slightly different model. Thanks, Emile
-
Thanks a lot! Cool ... but don't make it a "job" looking for it Buying the speakers/horns from a pair of KF-3's ... think it will work
-
Awesome; thanks!
-
Darn ... did not think of that Guess I have to buy a "beanbag" and lay on the floor
-
Haha ... great timing ... a couple of minutes ago I put a "LOW" pricetag on it $700, includes a LittleDot headphone amp ... but not paying for shipping Cheers, Emile

Haha ... getting the console this Tuesday and will "slowly" power it up to see what happens But pretty sure it is dead as seller told me he had not plugged it in ... translation: dead. So was thinking of putting a Marantz amp in it and the RF-3 speakers. And yes; will slowly try some different approaches OK; will leave this thread alone and start a new one when I get the console Cheers, Emile

Congrats! And welcome to the Klipsch nuts forum Cheers, Emile

Aux to aux should be just fine. Aux to RCA is just fine also. Haha ... not much of an answer If this is the ONLY speaker you will be using with the TV it will be a great improvement. But ... if you are using L/R's also, many of us believe the BEST center speaker is an identical one to the L/R's Cheers, Emile

Haha ... FYI, pics at the start of this thread are better than the ones I put up in the Garage section The KP-115's even have the Klipsch Pro badges ... Jeez ... paid $50 for a set of those 3 months ago

Hi Florida neighbor @billybob ... think I will have a problem "enclosing" these RF-3's in a similar volume as the originals Any idea what they would sound like WITHOUT an enclosure just like in the pic below? Or ... maybe I can make a sealed box around them PS ... cannot "get rid" of the 2 shelves in the lower right compartment
-
Bruce, thanks. Yes, that would be optimum ... original internal volume of the RF-3's each is about 2.3 cuft. Would probably work on the left side (see pic below), but the right side is much smaller - prob about 1.3 cuft. So, 2 questions ... if anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate them 1. How about leaving the back open as in the pic ... 2. Or make it a sealed enclosure as those are usually 30-60% smaller? Thanks, Emile add-on ... cannot remove the shelves in the lower right compartment. Upper one is extra space underneath receiver and bottom shelf is a hiding space for the front panel when "open."

Member carlthess will be picking these up later this week Since they are free, I am sure he is coming

@falcon20x ... PM send ... just waiting on your info so I can send you money Thanks a million, Emile

OK; follow-up ... offered a member $150 for RF-3 speakers and crossovers (as listed) ... think they will fit ???? Any thoughts? If I put in a Marantz 2252B or something else; also have an extra Kenwood KR-4070 (with these speakers), think it might be awesome But ... not sure ...do I have to make a "sealed" cabinet for those speakers, or can I leave them "open"????? No clue ... comments please Cheers, Emile
-
Hi; yes ... woofers, horns, crossovers, connector plates, wiring and tubes (if any). The RF-3's supposedly are GREAT speakers ... anyone for a comment ???? So, yes, want to use the "components" in a vintage stereo console. Yes; we Klipsch guys are "weird." Shipping should be less than $50 ... where are you located? I'm in St Pete, FL 33702. Console pics below ... \

Thank you SIR! OK @falcon20x ... I'd love to get these from you if you are willing to "break them down." And you can keep the box for another project Have to go to a party now ... back later tonight. Cheers, Emile
-
OK; confused Looked up the specs and found 2 different versions ... one says 10" woofers, another one 8" woofers. If they are 8" I'll take them (if you want to ship the components). If 10" I'll have to check my box next week Thanks, Emile
