  1. Thanks Yes, even though the frequency range does not go as low as my KPT-904's or even my Forte's ... think they might add "something," especially since the dB range is "much, much higher."
  2. Thought it was "overkill" with my other stuff ... bass doesn't really go much lower ... but guess much better anyhow
  3. Haha ... looking for a vintage "stereo console" for the patio
  4. add-on ... have a 1000W sub-amp in my TV room ... thought I could add the KI-215 to the 2nd channel. And, maybe get a crossover at 500Hz for my stereo room ???
  5. Haha ... just bought a pair of KP-115's and a single KI-215. Love the Pro stuff and this deal was too good to pass up (Send the seller PayPal money ... awaiting acknowledgement ) So; what do I do with these??? Have KPT-904's in my main room. KP-3002's and Forte's in my stereo room. Should I buy a crossover from Parts-Express and hook them up somewhere? Or ...??? Cheers, Emile
  6. OK ... try some ElectroVoice Interface D's Some of us think they are better than KHorns Only $4000 ... eBay, Bradenton, FL
  7. Just checked the weight on these ... they are "only" 40 pounds each ... USPS can take them. Just not sure how much they charge for "distance." Specs ... https://web.archive.org/web/20130530163950/http://www.klipsch.com:80/kg-4
  8. Just had some KP-3002's shipped to me via USPS. 70 pounds each (max for USPS) ... was $50 each, but only 200 miles (UPS quoted $90 each)
  9. Reminds me of one of the all time great movies ... Dr. Strangelove or how I Learned to stop worrying and Love the Bomb Sorry; this was the Air Force
  10. Haha; thought you Navy guys knew blocks/tackle/pulleys Pulley diameter is irrelevant ... number of loops determines reduction of "length" (and resulting force "increase"). They have extremely small lightweight plastic pulleys at HD ... with fishing line it should (haha) work with a tennis ball. 5pm ... Cheers, Emile
  11. Just use a set of pulleys. Example below is 0.5/1.0. loop the wire one more time and you should have a 0.67/1.0 ratio ... OK; will have some wine at 5pm to "recalculate" and make sure
  12. Very interesting ... found a set 1/2 hour away from me in Bradenton, FL ... pristine, but jeez ... $4000. Let's see what the stock market does Monday https://www.ebay.com/itm/ELECTRO-VOICE-INTERFACE-D-SERIES-II-AUDIOPHILE-SPEAKERS-WALNUT-CABINETS-EX-COND/153106419876?hash=item23a5da90a4%3Ag%3A8tQAAOSwnK9ZQyiw&_sacat=0&_nkw=EV+interface+D&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313
  13. No one wants a tube amp? (OK; this is a bump.)
  14. Had many, many office chairs ... only good one is a Herman Miller Aeron chair ... usually $600-$1000 but I have seen them for $400. OK; sorry, you may have to sell a speaker
  15. YK, thanks! Wasn't familiar with those ... but it seems the concept is "do-able." Guess there is hope after all and maybe the sound might be OK Have also thought of a folded design, but there just isn't enough room. Can't put it in "slated" because I would loose too much "volume." For those unfamiliar with the EV interface D's, here is a link ... http://techtalk.parts-express.com/forum/tech-talk-forum/59605-let-s-talk-about-the-design-of-the-electrovoice-interface-d-speakers
  16. OK; found a "cool" console (posted before, repeated see pics ... 55x16x31 inches), and have a stupid question Haha ... was going to put the speakers from my KP-3002 in it ... 15" woofers and 7x11" horns. Think I can fit the horns in the front ... but obviously NO space fro the woofers. How about putting the woofers on the bottom? Or will the sound just be terrible? (Think I can match the cuft volume of the original enclosure somehow ) Cheers, Emile
  17. Just got a pair of KP-3002's ... believe (yes "a**-u-me" ) they have the same woofer and horn. @Coytee will know Think they are awesome ... just about as good as my Forte I's. Add-on ... no; horn is slightly smaller ... still awesome sound though
  18. Thanks for finding this "locally" for me. Haha ... little bit "too much" with the fireplace ... wife prefers mid-century Danish teak
  19. One more pic from CL ... Telefunken 504 TT and "think" it is a Korting (?) receiver ... similar to this ...
  20. Sorry; no clue ... from a listing on CraigsList ... of course "incomplete."
  21. Already done ... I start at 5pm No need for a TV screen ... this will go in my patio room ... 2 sides have 10 French doors (OK; 5 doubles) ... should make for some interesting acoustics
  22. @rplace ... WOW ... impressed! FYI, have run 10' RCA cables from pre-outs before w/o any problems. But, think a slide out is the way to go Used to have a couple of (industrial) racks like that in my office with IBM Netfinity servers ... all were on slides for easy access ... and they were 50+ lbs each. As I said, my TT is on slides ... but just in a cheap Ikea cabinet
