How come some cheap subs ($200-$400) seem to put out so much more bass than expensive subs when playing rock or exspecially rap music. I know its not the cleanest bass, but its the punch you want when listening to that type of music. But then when watching a movie the expensive sub kicks the cheap subs @ss.

I really love my system for HT. I would definately go with the RSW series and not the KSW series as stated earlier. You said you only wanted to buy once, so don't get the KSW and want to upgrade later. The 12" would be enough, but if you got it, get the 15. That or look at SVS. Those prices all seem good, exspecially if you not buying onliine.

TBrennan, I am talking about 2 different people here. The homeless and poor. Why should poor pay for cable when air tv is free. If you need money spend it on something better than that. And paint has two uses. Yes it makes it look good, but what I was refering to was protection. Read it, its even on the label. Its gonna protect the wood or what every you have better, there for making it last longer and work work better. If you paint wood its gonna last longer, stop the wind better and keep bills lower. Cable won't do that, but it can inform you that you don't have the winning powerball number. The lottery makes the poor poorer, and well, the rich don't even play it. They just receive the property tax deductions. And when did I say I don't care about the poor or homeless. I have well over a thousand hours of volunteer time, I also donate food, and help the elderly. As for the homeless, that is who should take a MacDonalds job or work on a farm. You say i have no values, but I do, I value life and health. And by saying get a job at MacDonalds at least its a living. I didn't say it was nice, but it gets you food, clothing and shelter. When I said I wanted to say this stuff to the poor and homeless it wasn't to laugh at them. I want to tell them that because its good advice. And I agree, I laughed very hard, cause it was funny.

First of all my fiance does know about the tape, she bought it. Second of all I got it out. Took apart the tv, had to break part of the tape to get it out(front flap). But now my the tv still doesn't work. oh well, they are cheap i guess. at least you guys got a laugh out of it.

The klipsch sub you are refering to are not that great KSW-12. Those are not Klipsch's high end subs. If you want power go with Klipsch's bettler line of subs, the RSW-10,12,or 15. You won't hear many complaints about them. Also, why only $330 on a sub? If your gonna buy all that other nice equipment and speakers don't go cheap on the sub.

OK I have a problem. Me and my fiance live together at college. Well my tv is in the living room of our apartment(share with 3 other roomates) so I took my fiance's 13" tv vcr combo to my room since we both sleep in there. Now I go to turn on the TV but it won't. The vcr is making a weird noise. Push play, stop, eject, rewind, or fast forward and the tape is stuck! Since the tape is stuck we can't even watch tv cause it automatically turns the tv off after 3 seconds. Well I want the tv to work and i have to get that tape out of there before my fiance takes it home because its a PORN tape that is stuck and her parents will be quite curious as to why the tv doesn't work. Besides that its a good movie and I don't want to damage it Anyone have any advice/experience getting tapes out of vcr's. I will be attempting to take it apart, but I am afaird I won't be able to get it out w/o it breaking. Wish me luck.

I want to put in my 2 cents. First of all I agree with everyone, including prodj. Some people are put in a bad place in life and it seems like the world is against them. Life's not fair, and those people need to work really hard to get on their feet again. But at the same time many poor people can only blame themselves. Some people have nothing. But I beleive if you are willing to work hard you can have something, not anything special but at least decent clothes to wear and place called home. I want to say this to people who have nothing. First of all McDonalds will hire damn near anyone. No one should have to be "homeless" find a $250 apartment, walk to work or bike. You don't need a lot of money to find a basic place to live. One can make enough to survive at McDonalds if your willing to have nothing more than a place to live and food. OR WORK FOR A FARMER. Many of them are constantly looking for help. You don't need experience or new clothes to work for them. So what if you shovel **** all day, its money and they don't care what the heck you look like. I know what the cost of living is, I am very gratefull for my parents help until I finish college. But I also pay all my bills exept a little bit of school which they help me out on. I find it funny when the poor not "homeless" complain of money. You drive by their trailer homes and what do you see. A STUPID DIRECT TV DISH ATTACHED TO THE TRAILER. Right that makes sense. Lets pay 30 dollars a month for some worthless tv instead of some decend clothes or for a couple cans of paint and brushes to make your place look a little more presentable. And everyone knows time = money. So take that time your watching TV, drinking booze, smoking cancer sticks, and scratching lottery tickets and get a second job. Although this is worthless to you guys(how many homeless own Klipsch and visit this forum) I wish the poor or homeless would listen to my advice.

First of all being from Wisconsin I would like to say that that is normal for the packers. They are a very unpredictable team. We can play the last place team and lose, or play the first place team and dominate. I get very mad watching the games at some of the plays we call. I would love for them to make the super bowl but I doubt they will. Don't get me wrong I love them and so does the rest of wisconsin (hence the reason why no one can get season tickets for at least 50 years.) But they kick them selves so many times. Also considering how many people they have hurt they still have an amazing record. But let the playoff start where records don't mean crap.

I agree, the Denon 3803 is probably your best bet. Onkyo is another great manufacturer too. Both are great, easy to use, and within your budget.

Sorry for the late response, I don't get to get online much anymore. But its fixed. Some how my Denon got switched off from auto. Unfortunately it was probably me, could have been my roomates but they usually don't mess with it if they don't understand it. I had to go home for a Xmas gathering and it popped in my head. Got home looked and sure as sh@t it wasn't on auto. Now my heart can go back to its normal rate. Thanks everyone.

I got a new dvd player for Xmas. So I unplugged the old one and used the new one last night to watch bits and pieces of the Star Wars movie. Now today I wanted to try a CD. No sound. Put in a dvd, no sound. I have my Denon digital input for the DVD player set to Coaxial, set the DVD player to Bitstream, have a digital coaxial cord running from the DVD to the Denon, set the function on the receiver to DVD, and still no sound. I can't figure out what the hecks going on here, I never have a problem with this stuff. I took some cords and ran the sound from the regular left and right on the back of the DVD to the left and right inputs on the Denon and i get sound. So I have the problem of getting no digital sound. I can't figure out why and I really need to hit something.

When I got engaged the guys at worked asked me why the hell did I go and do something stupid like that. They told me the sex would quit too. Well he's the summary. Started having sex, 3 times a week. Both liked sex turned into 6 times a week or even 3 times a day. Did that for a while then back to 3 times a week. Got engaged, lots of sex to make me feel good. That lasted maybe a week. I know SVS isn't sold at Circuit city, but other brands like Infinity and Polk are, and they are 2 respectable brands. I was talking to a friend of mine you used to be a manager at CC and she told me that audio equipment, especially speakers are the most marked up product they carry. She said some are marked up as much as 600%. I know that goes for almost every store around the country/world, not just CC. So yes they are overpriced, but so it every other speaker in the world. So compared to other speakers they are actually a good deal.

Or even some sort of speaker selector, or subselector?
