  1. BOOM! From Jimmy Page's public performance list prior to Led Zeppelin. It was supposed to be two shows but because of the snow storm they only got one show in like at 4 or so. December 4 1966 Sun Lima, OH USA Springbrook Gardens Teen Club Note: This date arranged independent of the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars tour Note: Support from The Breakouts Note: Two performances...2pm and 5pm Never really had to nose before.... @rplace December 4th was also a Sunday and if you want to check the weather have at it! lol
  2. I agree @billybobbut wiki is sure screwed up cause they talk about a tour 1968 US tour not anything in 1967. I KNOW who I met that night cause I couldn't believe I was meeting them. I'm thinking he said John Paul was filling in cause it was something about a passport. That crap was 50 years ago. I KNOW I was hangin w/Joe and the Measles a lot but my brain cells weren't that shot. lolol
  3. Mmmmm, Springbrook Garden's Teen Club in Lima, Ohio. January or Feb 1967 on a Sunday afternoon. 730 show but was moved back to 430 because of the snow storm. Got in thru a guy I knew who worked at the Lima radio station I think WCIT. Maybe it's somewhere on the net. But it definitely happened. Now IF you think I'm digging thru stuff looking for that ur crazy! I'll run across it someday and get ya a pic that is IF the ex didn't steal it and sell it for $50. l had 3 people bring me items that they bought at her famous garage sales before I got my stuff. They were kind enough just offering it back to me. The good stuff is locked up in a friends 2nd gun safe. Yea, she loved me! hahaha Hmmmm now that's nuts. Just looked on Wiki and the time line for the guys doesn't sync with who actually did the show that day. But a buddy of mine went with me and he knows who he saw and met too. Not really too relevant though because back then who really kept track of who got together to do anything at any time. I know there was something going on w/that show right then because EC told me that. It happened though! I graduated in 1967 and it was the winter before that.
  4. Yuuuup they did. The night I saw them in '67 John Bonham was on the drums. Don't ask me how or why either. Walked in just after they started and said Whoa! They were doing Paul Revere & the Raiders "Kicks" w/all the kicks. I was like huh am I at the right show? lol Small venue, blinding snow storm to drive in for 2 hours to get there but got to meet them all after the show. Went outside and pulled down a poster from a telephone pole and they all signed it for me. It's here somewhere I hope. EC was great and I spent more time talking to him than any of the other guys. Very personable and when I asked about his guitar strings being white he said they were nylon. Told him I'd never seen a nylon string so he gave me one. He was actually the only one who I could understand. I couldn't understand a word anyone else said because of their heavy British accent. EC was slow and laid back. Guess that went w/his slow hand nick. lol MAYBE about 200 ppl in there because of the snow storm.
  5. Now it's gettin deep in here! Would that be anything like watching Jon Entwhistle doing the splits while playing? 😂 😂 Cold outside and I KNOW I'll be missed at jam nite again tonite. I'll just tell them I was gettin "funky" and take the heat. All dem wimmen out shoppin anyway! ha!
  6. Gonna have some fun w/Mr Funk tonite in RTM. Bring your A game billybob! Got my Capezio's on sports fans! 😂 😎 Funk? The Godfather from 1968. Incredible person in so many ways. The ONLY man I ever met who spent an hour before every show loosening up backstage. Kicks, splits that went ALL the way down and ziiiip right back up. Hit the water and walked out ready to go to work. EVERY show was that way! That ball of sweat turned into slime by the time he walked off. Killed it too!
  7. Keep an eye out when ya hit the mall...
  8. @JohnJWell tissue is tissue. Why does it have to be shaped differently. Good point! Oh btw. Good friends don't let friends wear orange... GO BUCKS!
  9. Already is! Ahhhhhgain. Used to buy Puffs now I'm back on the Charmin. I quit!
  10. Queen's 9th Studio Album and 1st Soundtrack LP released here in the US in 1981.
  11. Checked that dude out before doing some Snowey. Not too shabby for self-taught. This was laying on the porch today a couple weeks early. The BBC tracks remstered from somewhere in the UK. My mail dude is a good guy just lays them on the porch for me. I'll get grilled tomorrow nite at jam night. Ha! Picked this up just for the memories!
  12. I NEVER answer the house phone, which is where the majority of the calls go. Got the same thing Gilbert did about a year ago so I was gonna be smart and did a reverse white pages search o/l. Yup, there was the number so I called it back. Told the lady that answered she just called me and she denied calling me and said I was one of many hitting the business she worked at. hahaha... Didn't win a thing! If you're not on my cell list then you can forget about my answering. Or I tell ppl to leave a msg and I'll call them right back since the cell is attached by an umbilical cord.
  13. Gotta love Emile, ALWAYS has his priorities in order. Wine now the celebration. THEN the other amp!
  14. Try this: The tiny pin hole in the rear of the female connector that the pin is broken off in? Take a bobby pin and push it in there just enough to make some room. Then slip out to McDill AFB in Tampa and get just a tiny bit of C-4 explosive. Won't take much but pack it in tite. Replace the cover on the amp, point it out the sliding doors and power up. Might want to put a concrete block on top of the amp but something's gonna give. Use a 100' extension cord just to be safe. Good luck brother!
  15. 76 today and still cookin! That's 760 normal years

  18. Soooo tonite she posts a few pics but naturally I can't lift them. hahaha Wore a gown to the ceremony and I KNOW she turned some heads, Times Square and a pic her w/some woman who was on the flight home w/her outta JFK... "Chatted with the only CEO of MLB at the time and fashion entrepreneur Wendy Selig-Prieb on the flight home. I actually found her laptop at JFK and returned it to her *insert elevator pitch.* What an amazing woman!" She should get one helluva job since her master's in sports law/business is now the Bud Selig School of Sports Law/Business @ ASU. hahaha "Hey Dad you wouldn't believe what happened to me on the flight back to Phoenix. This girl in the ASU Sports Law program found and returned my laptop I left laying @ JFK. Oh yea? What was her name?" hahaha Not a DAMN word though about who she met there though. Not a word or even a pic. A video of them announcing Joe as the winner and the crowd reaction but that's it. She was about 15 rows back, center stage. It's killin me! Had the wonderful privilege of meeting @WendySeligPrieb on my flight today back to PHX. Small gestures go a long way HA! Got ONE off her twitter account, which she doesn't know I follow! hahaha
  19. Incredible stuff right here! Talk about raising some cash? “Coming from southeast Ohio it’s a very impoverished area and the poverty rate is almost two times the national average. There’s so many people there that don’t have a lot and I’m up here for all those kids in Athens and Athens County that go home to not a lot of food on the table, hungry after school. You guys can be up here, too." Those were Joey Burrow's words when he accepted the Heisman Trophy in New York City on December, 14th. Let's answer Joey's call to action by supporting a local nonprofit that serves food to more than 5,000 households in Athens County each year. by Will Drabold a retired teacher and his wife who still teaches in that system. Athens County Food Pantry 2 hrs · Thank you Joe Burrow supporters and fans! Athens County faces many challenges. Among them are poverty and hunger. We are the poorest county in the state and our food insecurity rate of 20% is the highest in our area and likely in the state. Low wage jobs and transportation issues add to the problem as well. Our all-volunteer organization has worked for 40 years to address hunger, an issue that continues to plague our community. We served over 400 families last month and those numbers hold steady. For the fundraisers inspired by Joe Burrow, we are simply overwhelmed by the generosity of so many people! Our board will be having in-depth conversations about the best ways to use these funds. This is very new to us. We have never received an outpouring of financial support of this magnitude. We seek to be careful and deliberate in making these decisions, as the opportunities to further address food insecurity and hunger are numerous and the possibilities are nearly endless. If you have tried to contact us, and haven’t yet received a reply, please be patient. We have been swamped by the many messages and phone calls we have received. On behalf of the board and our clients, merely saying thank you for this amazing show of support for our work cannot accurately reflect the depth of our appreciation! But those are the words we have so THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! This was posted about 7:15PM on 12/16/19. At 9:15PM today 12/16/2019 more than 8,100 people have donated $276,235 to the Athens, Ohio Food Pantry from supporters of both teams and it's still rolling! 9:45 it's now $286,395 by 8356 people!
