I apologize for that comment I should have said they are in rough condition for that asking price but good luck -
@Coytee so i have a 1976 vintage LaScala. One piece. If i were to do that mod with K402 it would be like your first pick. How exactly do you achieve that? Basically no more k77 or K55? Excuse my not knowing im new at this hobby lol
-
@Coytee i have 3 way LaScala’s presently and i think they sound wonderful in my sweet spot chair about 10 feet away or if im up walking around twenty feet away
-
@jjptkd wow!! Those look cool. Im a chef so handy with a knife here and thats about. Planning on upgrading my vintage LaScala’s soon with some Crites products and that alone will push my DIY abilities to the limit

@Westcoastdrums i have been saving for 396’s but recently been seeing some info on the 362. The 3 way design caught my eye but inwas pretty sure the horn and driver in the 396 is superior!
-
I guess because the 362 is a 3 way design some people asume its better @Coytee
-
Anyone??!!!!

Looking for anyone has had the pleasure of hearing both these speakers. One being a 2 way design the other 2 way. What are some of the sonic characteristics of the two?

@TFR1 would the refinishing process you mentioned work if my original Lascalas are black and I wanted a natural wood color as my end result?

CRITES CT-120 vs STOCK K-77 in 1976 LaScala’s

CRITES CT-120 vs STOCK K-77 in 1976 LaScala’s
Jvitti1970 replied to Jvitti1970's topic in Technical/Restorations
Yes I have pondered doing the mids as well but I agree even with all the LaScala’s trying to get into that bass bin seems like a bigger challenge than I’d like to take on -
CRITES CT-120 vs STOCK K-77 in 1976 LaScala’s
Jvitti1970 replied to Jvitti1970's topic in Technical/Restorations
@Budman so going with that logic would you change anything else other than the caps in the speakers ? -
Looking for opinions on whether the CT 120 by Bob Crites is an actual upgrade from the original K 77.
-
still have a pair? these are compatible with Lascala's that have AA Networks?
-
Looking for a MC250 in decent shape to feed my 1976 Lascala's
-
@Budman those AA are just what my 1976 lascalas need!
-
@Westcoastdrums not sure if he'll come down. he actually has 3 362's and wants to sell all 3 for $1300. what do you think of the KP-301 first gen?
