  1. The more you listen the better they sound. They should sound faaaaar superior to brand X unless the cables come unhooked.Take time in placement, adjustment, good cables, etcc.ENJOY!

    SVS vs. RSW12

I second the great post!rsw and svs, hmmmm I like it.
  3. Take that money, buy some rf7's,rsw 15,unless you live in a stadium it will be all you need for quite a while.I think you will much happier, this is however only my opinion, after much trial and return.

    SVS vs. RSW12

I had the 25 31 pci and it is no match for the rsw 12,mutch less the 15.It is however a good product at its price range, with a great bunch of people behind it.The rsw imho puts out more bass, cleaner bass, tons of headroom, you will not wonder if its enough.I think no one should rate the rsw12/15 unless they have had it in their system,it will sell itself.
  5. I have had the 7's for a year and they keep getting better. When the rsw 15 replaced my other 3 subs it was like a new speaker system. Two of my previous subs are very highly rated here and elswhere, and WERE good.If you listen to the 15 at your house,it will probably stay.I think it is underated by some that have not audtioned it.If I would have seen more favorable reviews I would have tried it sooner.
  6. In my 24x24 room I can easily hit 110+ db's of crystal clear sound,I do not listen at this level for long, just for a rush.If you cannot get at least 100db's cleanly, you may look at your gear, speakers, amp, source.I think 80 to 90 db's is about an average listening range for me.The level you like is what's important for you,so just make sure its clean at your max levels.
  7. My parasound amp gets nice and hot after about an hour, cranked up or not.How can a unit create all that heat for a buck a month? The only problem I have is if I buy a used unit, please tell me if its been on for 2 years.
  8. K HORN, I had faith in you.As I was reading this I was thinking,if he's got GOOD feedback,DOES NOT ask for cashier's check, wired pay only,he's probably o.k.I buy on ebay and love it,people need to look at feedback, pay w/credit card, ask questions. Most crooks will have no feedback and ask for wired payment etc..
  9. I agree, after about 10 minutes warm up my system does sound better.I don't think you should leave even solid state on fulltime, certainly not tubes.
  10. HELP! the Beatles, not really but whatever song would not be a favorite for long.I think Prodj summed it all up.
  11. George McGovern, blhahahahahahahahahaha! Now that's funny stuff. If he was in charge, well let's be glad he ain't!It would appear history is no longer being taught at our schools.
  12. Well, now that you no longer need that (tweeter)I could give you few hundred bucks for it,if you think its worth that much?
  13. D is the best of the choices.I agree if you can wait the rf7's will help avoid the "I wish I would have"blues. Also can you trade up at the place of purchase? my dealer allows 1 yr full price trade in.
  14. I must admit Eric was very nice when I returned my sv.If you want to believe its the same or as musical as rsw 15,good luck.I had them both, and this only applies to my(and everyone I know)experience. The sv was great with HT,and is a great product, made by a great bunch of people. The rsw 15 was the clear winner for mostly music/5.1 concerts, with all due respect.
  15. Ahh,but horse power and the Cuda is a good thing, yes?
  16. It sounds like a great plan, you can get the rf7's down the road, and enjoy the rc7,s7 till then.
  17. What pre/pro/amp or avr do you use?this is a likely suspect, bass management.
  18. You know the old saying if they can't take a joke!Hey,two birds with one stone.
  19. Ya,the rsw 10 can be had for about 600.00 if you shop around.I think you would be much happier than with the ksw.If you can, try em' both in your room, take care!
  20. Great question,I can't answer it all but, there are subs that can go lower than the klipsch and still be very musical. The thing I have found is I would have to spend almost twice the money for these subs.Build design naturally has a lot to do with the musicality.I also think in the perfect(takes time and options) placement, right room, the klipsch may do a little better than some reviews would indicate.
  21. I think the rsw 12 would be very good in all but the largest rooms.I do agree that it was sufficient but,I also decided that for a few hundred more to get the 15.The svs would be my choice if it were 75% movies 25% music, but the rsw is my choice for music and 5.1 concerts.
  22. Its really good to know this WAF thing(at least here) is not as bad as we thought.I usually try to justify the great deal, then she say's,you work for your money, get it if you want it.I will confess she has a formal living area with NO A/V system,go figure.I have a dedicated h/t room/den that's insulated on all walls. The moral of the story is,if a spouse does'nt like/put up with our mild sickness, there's little hope for our unhappy home.
  23. I agree, they are maybe a very little dry,and a speck rough on high's(when at reference levels). That said, I still love em'.I had a full year to trade up,I tried many of the most popular ones in my price range.I have set others right beside them,a/b switched, and they are very realistic compared to others I tried. They may just work great with my gear/room,but I'll keep em' till I got about 5k to spend.Have you hugged your Klipsch today?
