  3. There is a small scandinavian TT Manufacturer called " Bergmann " Audio. Bergmann aims to develop air-bearing turntables and air-bearing tangential tone arms with the least amount of parts.
  4. Got the Live in Montreux Album from MacCann as well , not on Vinyl but as 24 Bit remastered Japan CD .
  5. @Mark in PA The easiest thing would be to get 2 bamboo boards , about 1 " thick with the dimensions of width of 16.63 " and a depth of 13 ". This will decouple the Forte IV better from the floor through the bamboo and increase the distance from the floor. I would do without the 15 ° angle change because then the radiation pattern of the midrange and tweeter is directed over your ears and your head in the direction of the ceiling. Thus, you are no longer sitting in the stereo stage. The Forte IV is not designed for this kind of angle change. JMTC
  6. Les MacCann Heavily influenced by blues and gospel, pianist Les McCann was one of the pioneers of soul jazz, along with Ramsey Lewis. In 1969, Les McCann performed with jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris at the Montreux Jazz Festival. In the 1970s, Les McCann released numerous other records as a singer, with clear soul and funk influences. In 1971, McCann and Harris performed with Wilson Pickett, The Staple Singers, Santana, and Ike & Tina Turner in Accra, Ghana, in a concert before 100,000 Ghanaians. The concert was recorded as the documentary Soul To Soul and released on DVD in 2004. In 1975, he toured with Klaus Doldinger's Passport (heard on Doldinger Jubilee '75). In 2004 he performed with Cornell Dupree (guitar), Ronnie Cuber (tenor saxophone), Gordon Edwarts (bass) and Buddy Williams (drums) at the Jazzwoche Burghausen, where he presented his song Little Blue Volkswagen, among others. " Music lets me be " Produced by Esmond Edwards & Les MacCann , 1977 , ABC Records

  11. I see that you live in Hong Kong. I was professionally many years in this dream city on the road, mainly in tsim sha tsui, was several times on Victoria Peak ( what a fantastic view at night over Hong-Kong, or traveled to Shenzhen or Guangzhou. However, this was still at a time when the Chinese had little political control over the city after the handover of the previouse british colony. Oh... how I loved the food ,the people and the city. I am shocked at what has changed in the last few years. I think the quality of life is still very high, but democracy and freedom in the sense of our ideas can hardly be said. I like to think back to that time. All the best

  19. Last week I was quiet busy to built and deliver some audiocables before new year, job is done so far. Than I ordered the second Micro Seiki Tonearm MA 505 MK II as well as the sec. 24. they need to be placed close to the wall for a good bass performance , they aren´t designed for a " free in the room" placement. And if they are new ...don´t forget the drivers and chassis needs a " burn In " periode approx. 200 hours
