I have 8 foot ceiling , flat small room ideal conditions for the bounce method I purchased 2x RPA-140SA I can tell you first hand it doesn’t even come close . I went with a pair of CDT-3800-cii instead of the 5800 I couldn’t be happier I don’t know if you can get the 3800 anymore if you do the up fire add ons let me know how it went for you .

YEAH , For me it was very sad .. i did not like it so i pulled trigger on 2x CDT-3800-cii 8" down firing speakers .../ i installed them last night and before i started the audyssey setup . I had San Andreas in the Blu-ray player and at the scene when his ex wife was in restaurant The building was falling down i was standing under the right side atmos speaker and it scared the hell out of me with the sound of broken glass . Night and day different than the add ons ... i strongly do not recommend the add ons .. Unless you have some laying around...

im a little late to this But .I hope this helps I also have the r-28f front l/r... I started with the RC-25 I did not like it ... I was adjusting sound too much for everything i watched ... I tried a few center channels . It appears you are on the right track . The RC-62 has the dual 6.5" woofers .. Thats what i fouynd to be the right center however i got the RC-35 same speakers. 6.5" .. It made a huge difference .. I use the rs-52ii for rear and dualk 12" r-12sw subs ..

Yes first try was a pair of RP-140sa on top of my two fronts and what a let down that was . I should have known better honestly . so I purchased 2x-CDT-3800-cii speakera and I’m installing them Saturday . I will post what I think when I’m done

i got one recently ... it was a major improvement on my sound for my center i am thinking its due to the dual 6.5" speaker

well since pic i have added the RC-35 center for the dual 6.5" speakers / it was a major improvement . I also wanted to try the dolby Atmos so i got the receiver for a 5.2.2 and i purchased a pair of the RP-140sa add ons i wanted to try the speaker enabled version since i have 8 foot flat ceilings ... oh boy what a fail pure snake oil lol so i sold the pair and ordered a pair of CDT-3800-CII Ceiling speakers 8" . i should receive them on Tuesday and i will install them on Saturday

That’s such a crock of crap the r-28 were sold at Best Buy in magnolia and they are amazing sounding speakers unreal it’s just a newer model than the Ed-82
