  1. JRH, Good to know, I think it must have been a prototype or something.. I can’t imagine why else the “stamped circle” exactly fitting metal badge could come from… it’s more than a sticker or badge attached to the amp.. Now, if I could only find its mate!
  2. Yes, I thought that was odd…but there’s still the fact that it fits perfectly in the stamped circle (which doesn’t exist on the amp shown elsewhere…
  3. Thanks 001! The one thing that has me puzzled is that it’s more than a sticker… it’s more like a metal plate, that fits perfectly in the “stamped” circle on the metal (transformer?) case… I don’t see the “stamped circle” on the amp you linked… Any chance Klipsch had “limited” run of these badged Klipsch?
  4. I posted this over in ask the historian… any input is much appreciated!
  5. I was on the hunt for a nice two channel amplifier to drive my Belles and instead I bought this bad boy… Anyone know much about it? I couldn’t find anything online. The Klipsch badge on top seems to be from the factory, rather than just a sticker… What is it? What’s it worth? Does it have a mate out there? Thanks in advance for your help! Dave P.
  6. Ugggh! I wish you were in the Midwest! I’ve been looking for a nice tube amp to go with my new (to me) Belles! I’ll take the Scott if you decide to ship! GLWS! Dave P.
  7. Depending on your budget and your setup, you might look into a high quality, affordable DAC with Bluetooth integrated into the DAC. Quite a while ago I had a Bluetooth adapter/ receiver with RCA output and the quality was bad. Maybe they’ve gotten better, but if you can afford the extra $$$ I’d look into a new dac with Bluetooth built in. I’ve been trying out some DACS and it’s frankly amazing how good of sound you can get with these new DACS. I’ve heard good things about this DAC and the company (no actual experience with either). https://apos.audio/collections/brand-spotlight-smsl/products/smsl-su-6-high-resolution-dac-digital-to-analog-converter The science nerds at audioSciencereview seem to think highly of it https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/smsl-su-6-review-desktop-dac.28402/ . They also think that the DAC problem has been all but perfectly solved. I’m currently trying out this Topping E30ii https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7MH5LX6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and it sounds great! (It’s not a Bluetooth DAC). Im no expert, but I’m sure there’s some affordable products that will solve your problem and maybe improve your sound. I be heard some of the Bluetooth dac / amps from Parts Express sound great like this…https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-HTA50BT-Hybrid-Stereo-Tube-Amplifier-with-Integrated-DAC-Sub-Out-and-Headpho-300-3844?quantity=1 I don’t have any experience with that integrated amp, but have bought from Parts Express many times. Good luck with your search!
  8. I am thinking about buying a Scott 222b to go with my Klipsch Belles. I’ve heard it’s a good match, but don’t know much about tube amps… This will (obviously) be for two channel listening. I will mostly be streaming from Tidal/Roon, via a Oppo Sonica DAC. I’m not sure if it matters, but it’s a pretty large room (32 feet x 28 x 8). It’s a local seller, who seems to be very legit, says it was completed serviced a few years ago. Any thoughts on this a,p, how it pairs with my Belles, and/or ideas on prices will be very much appreciated. Thanks! Dave P.

  10. Thanks everyone! If I get a tube amp (hopefully) it will be my first. I didn’t know about turning on without speakers connected, so that alone helps immensely! I’m not handy enough to try to make one myself (thanks badbandito), I’ll likely try one of the more affordable models. I’ll let you know how it goes. Dave
  11. I’m sure someone out here has solved this.. I’m wondering what people use when they want a high quality stereo experience (I’m thinking something vintage and maybe tubes) in addition to their basic HT AVR. is there a HIGH QUALITY switch or something that some use? Something that won’t degrade the sounds.. Anything other than swapping out cables all the time? Thanks in advance & happy holidays, Dave P. PS - Anyone have actual experience with this one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0796KGVXT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ADXERLXGK7AZN&psc=1
  12. I ended up paying $1800. They sound great, look great and now that I’m using my Forte ii’s as center and surround it’s really a big upgrade all around for my HT system. I’ll need to figure out a better pre/amp for dedicated 2 channel listening, but it’s already great!
